Sale of car
My enquiry was dealt with by Joe Watts who was brilliant from the first call. He got the best price for the car and happily dealt with my queries no matter how silly they may have seemed. Outstanding service from him and the company.

A very smooth and easy process from first contact to conclusion. Jack hall was a pleasure to deal with. We agreed a price and that was the amount that I received. No quibbling or tyre kicking at the handover of my car. Just a review of the paperwork, and a quick once over of the car and the transfer of funds. The collection was completed in under an hour from start to finish. They sorted out the outstanding finance for me aswell so it was a quick professional experience I would recommend The Car Buying Group to anyone looking to sell their existing car.

Selling my car to the carbuying group
I called the car buying group regarding taking my vehicle off my hands and I spoke with Megan Sykes, who was so wonderful and helpful in my sale of the car, Megan explained everything in detail of how the transaction would happen and even got me a raise in the price to what I asked for, Megan is a person that goes above and beyond to help you in the sale of your vehicle, I will say that Megan is an asset to the company and deserves recognition and appreciation for how Megan deals with customers and puts their mind at ease.

Do not trust or waste ypur time with this company
This company spent a long time lying to me about prices they would pay and after an i initial offer of over £30000 they offered £24500 which was an insult

Hi C,
We're genuinely sorry to hear you were left feeling disappointed with your experience. Our aim is always to provide a fair and transparent service, and we regret that you feel we fell short in this instance.
Valuations can change based on the detailed information we receive during the full appraisal process — including condition, service history, and market demand. That said, we completely understand how frustrating it must be when the final offer differs significantly from expectations.
Thanks for the feedback!

Offered a ‘guaranteed’ price and then reduced it massively on collection, after I had taken the day off to be at home to meet them. I acted in good faith and believe that they did not. The guy who came to collect me told me that they do this every single time. Without fail. Do not trust this company.

Hi David,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we're genuinely sorry to hear about your experience.
What you've described does not reflect the level of service we aim to provide. While our valuations are based on the information provided, deductions can occasionally occur if there are undisclosed issues or differences upon inspection.
We absolutely do not have a policy of reducing offers “every single time” — our aim is always to honour the agreed price where the vehicle matches the description given. If you've been told otherwise by a collection agent, that will be looked into.
Thanks again for your feedback.
Amazing experience from start to sale
Amazing experience from start to sale. Big shout out and thanks to Connor Mountain for amazing customer service. Kept me informed throughout the sale, was very professional, polite and explained everything fully about the process and payment. Really happy with the offer Connor got for my car. The guys who picked up my car and admin team who processed my payment were also amazing. I will use again and have already recommended to my family and friends. Thank you.
