What an amazing cake! Thank you so much. Cake arrived on time and our son (and guests) absolutely loved it. Baked perfectly and tasted incredible. I was so impressed with the meticulous packing.

Ordered holy communion cake come early in the morning and cake was beautiful really happy with the cake and the service delivery is great and well worth the money some cake maker that work from home charge he'll of a lot more would defo recommend to anyone and will be using this company again thankyou the cake store

Ordered a 25th birthday cake for my daughter, to be sent to an Airbnb in Derbyshire. As it was to go to a huge house on a country lane I was delighted the courier found it! It looked exactly as I had hoped. Perfectly decorated and in perfect condition. I have been assured that it was "the best sponge cake ever"..a huge compliment from my daughter. All 17 guests also loved it. Cannot recommend this company and service highly enough. A big 'Thank you' to The Cake Store.

I was a bit apprehensive ordering from here after seeing the very mixed reviews, however, I had an email from sarah asking if I would like the order on the day of my daughters birthday as it was a bank holiday and they would be fresher and last longer. She even made sure they were delivered before 1030am on her birthday and answered my phone call and email very efficiently the day before too, regarding some queries I had. My daughter said it was the best cake ever and the sponge was second to none. Someone said about the figures you add looking like they were from Poundland, I care to disagree. It was all packaged perfectly and arrived in perfect condition also with nutritional advice and how to stack it together etc. I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had it delivered was expecting a cake shop van was delivered by taxi which confused us when taxi driver called but a great experience . Cake was nice and moist worth every penny

I ordered an 18th birthday two tier cake for my daughter. This arrived on time, packaging intact. I carefully unpacked to reveal the chocolate crumbs ruining the white base and the loose ribbon that you could put a finger in 4 gaps around the cake. How this cake passed quality control is beyond me. These are rookie mistakes- not enough icing to act as glue for the ribbon and the base layer poorly sealed.I emailed 6 pictures of the cake showing in detail the problems and followed this up with a call. Disappointingly, the sales assistant did not apologise, rather spent 10 minutes listing all the possible accidents the cake could endure in transit around London. It was such a laughably, ridiculous explanation which had no bearing on the specific issues with the cake. I said that I was happy to video the cake box, as it was intact. But she seemed to think that maybe some-one shook the box and therefore no fingerprints. There was no apology or accountability. I am still waiting 2 days later and there has been no response to the email with evidence.
Very poor customer service and I would not recommend the Cake Store.

I ordered a birthday cake to be delivered 03/03/2023. On 03/03/2023, I received an eta from the courier that the cake will be delivered between 12:14 and 2:14 that day. After the cake did not arrive, I called the called the company at 2:45 after waiting in all day for the delivery. I spoke with Keith ,who apologised and informed me that the cake would not be delivered on 03/03/2023. Keith then assured me that the cake would be guaranteed delivery the following day before 10 am
It is after 10am the following day (04/03/2023) and I STILL have not received the cake. I now have no cake for my son"s birthday and am scrambling to find an replacement. If you have an important event, do NOT order from this company!!!! It is now 12pm, I received NO cake from this company! They have not even called or anything to offer some kind of compensation. This the WORST company I have ever dealt with!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Left ordering a cake too late but the whole experience with the cake store was quick and simple online. Arrived safely and early only 4 days after ordering. Cake was exactly as pictured and tasted delicious!!!! Will definitely use again, Thanks 😊 🙏

So impressed with this company. I ordered a birthday cake on pretty short notice and the cake was really well made and super tasty. More so than I expected to be honest, so was very, very happy. I was also really impressed with how it worked. How it was packaged was very inventive and pretty cool. Big thumbs up

Great made cake and taste yes you have to stick a few things on with icing but only because I imagine would get damaged In transit simple anoth to do with the guide provided I ordered 2 cakes to diffrent dates both delivered Immaculate to wolverhampton and before 10 am would recommend to anyone.

So easy to order online also had to phone to check something and the prrson i spoke to was very pleasant and helpful. The cake came exactly when they said and looked and tasted delicious. Have used in the past and will certainly use again

I ordered a two tier cake which was lost on the day of delivery. The courier found it and delivered it however the cake was damaged & the text on the icing had come off. I complained & sent pictures & have been ignored. I wouldn’t use them again.

Everything was so easy, from ordering to delivery! My daughters stranger things cake tasted unreal! Defo use again! Thankyou

Ordered this cake for my sons 10th birthday. Have ordered previously so I knew it would be great however on this occasion I was greatly disappointed. The delivery company DXpress once again damaged my cake during delivery. Sent an email and pictures to The Cake Store as advised over the phone and heard nothing back. Apparently no one else has had this problem but despite photo evidence this wasn’t good enough. The last cake I ordered was also damaged but took a chance this was a one off but clearly not. Had to make do with what we received as it was for my sons birthday party and no time to replace. The ribbon had even come away from the cake meaning we had to tape it back in place to at least make it more presentable. I am so disappointed and despite ordering many cakes previously I won’t be using them again which is a shame as the cakes are delicious. Clearly there is an issue that needs addressing with the delivery company but it’s not worth taking a chance. You pay a lot of money for a good cake only for the delivery driver to carry the box under his arm like a normal parcel and dump it on your doorstep. Clearly the box stating ‘this side up’ and ‘cake’ mean nothing!!! Sorry cake store but you’ve lost a customer now.
Also would like to add that after two days the cake started to show signs of mould on the sponge. This is poor for a cake that should last much longer once cut and stored correctly.

This cake was amazing. Ordered a 60th Birthday Cake. It arrived on time and everyone at the party said how lovely it was. Cake was soft and butter cream was lovely. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again. Excellent.

I ordered for my son’s birthday Superhero Two~Tier Cake. The cake arrived moved to the side. The figures didn’t have the support indicated in the picture (black support to fit them on the cake) - so I had to put them with sticks that I got in the shop once I realised I won’t be able to fit them. Or I missed the information or it was not clearly indicated that I will have to put all pieces of the cake together myself. The ribbon of the base part of the cake was not glued (it looked like there was traces of the glue) and it was coming off. The taste of the cake was average. First and last time I made the order and definitely wouldn’t recommend to no one. Poor quality for such a price (105£). I put 2 stars only because we received the cake.

I submitted a review on their website. It has been 4 days and it’s still not been posted. My guess is that they only post positive reviews on their website.

I gave them 2/5 because the cake arrived with a huge crack at the front and also because I didn’t think it tasted as amazing as the other reviews suggested. Not worth the £90 I paid for it.

Knocking another star off due to them only posting positive reviews and ignoring unfavourable ones.

Cake never arrived ordered for yesterday today is his 9th birthday. Absolute joke

Had this cake delivered on the hottest day this year as a surprise which went well!tasted very nice!lovely tin as well!

Too expensive and they just send a block of icing sugar with some parts I can get from my local pound shop to decorate it myself. Seriously I paid 60 pounds for a block of sugar and E code preservatives. Avoid.
