Ordered online in April for a delivery at a hotel in Norfolk for June 2024. Order arrived in one piece and on time. The cake was appreciated by all. I will certainly order from them again as the cake was delicious.

Once again The Cake Store have done such a great job on another birthday cake! After helping me out at last minute for my 30th Birthday a few years back! Had so many compliments of the Victoria Sponge cake I got, I knew i had to use them again! This Baulders Gate 3 Photo cake they made is glorious ❤️ the image came out so clear and crisp and tastes just as delicious as last time. It was the Red velvet flavour to go with the theme!

I have ordered cakes from this company before and they’ve been great, arrived on time and well presented however they have changed couriers and I now have a very disappointed child with no cake for their party as the courier has lost it and nothing can be done to replace it! Was not impressed with the lack of customer service to rectify this and unfortunately I will not ever use them again.

Ordered a 60th birthday cake for my husband. Absolutely fantastic from delivery to the eating. Would definitely recommend and would definitely use the company again

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s first birthday party. When it arrived it was very securely packaged and packed into several boxes. It was so secure that it was difficult to get into it! The cake was absolutely delicious aswell, probably the nicest cake I’ve ever had, and one of our guests said it was the best she’d ever had too. There was a really generous thick layer of cream in the middle. Will definitely order again

No cake !!! Ordered it a day early and it never came -Impossible to have an 80th party without a cake over a 100 pounds - now they won’t answer the phone- DX who get one out of five on trust pilot were useless and you couldn’t get any information as you couldn’t speak to anyone

I ordered the dartboard cake for my dad’s 60th on Wednesday 20th December after being let down by somebody. The cake was delivered on Friday 22nd December by DX Express. Not only was the communication brilliant from DX Express, the cake was delivered efficiently and in perfect condition. It’s his birthday today (Boxing Day) and we have only just cut the cake today and it is beautiful. The sponge is lovely and fresh and the packaging was outstanding. They even added some biscuits and a card that were complimentary and I cannot thank The Cake Store enough! I will definitely be ordering from them again, beautiful cake.

Despite the journey from London to Glasgow the cake arrived in perfect condition- on time (communication was excellent from DX) well package. The cake was absolutely fabulous. I ordered a top cake with cup cakes for the 2 lower layers with my sons pictures on them. It went down really well and the sponge was so soft and lovely icing - delicious. I have ordered previously and would highly recommend you for a trouble free cake order.

This cake was amazing…… I ordered the lemon sponge and it was beautifully moist and flavourful. Delivered on time by a specialist company who kept me informed of delivery. It was packed securely to avoid damage and arrived in perfect condition. All our guests commented on how delicious it was! I can certainly recommend the Cake Store.

We recently purchased a two tier princess cake for our daughters 6th birthday. It was fantastic!! Looked great and tasted fantastic. Delivery was as promised. I would definitely recommend the cake store and will definitely purchase any more celebratory cakes in future.

All I received was an iced cake with some cheap decorations. If I was going to decorate it, what was the point of paying £70.90 on a small sized cake.

Ordered birthday cake and gluten-free cup cakes for my husband's 70th. Everything arrived on time and looked wonderful. The cake tasted fantastic and the cupcakes were the best gluten-free sponge I had ever eaten. However, the sparklers used on the birthday cake were very sub-standard - they were very difficult to light and then they suddenly burst into flame, burning the finger of the person with the lighter. The Cake Store doesn't make the sparklers but should maybe try a different supplier. That aside, I wouldn't hesitate to order a cake from them again - but forget the sparklers!

Very impressed with this company. I ordered a cake and when it arrived I accidentally broke the plaque which showed the name of whose birthday it was. Totally my fault. I phoned in a panic and they sent me a new one which arrived the following morning hours before the party. The cake was beautiful. Thanks so much for saving the day

Ordered a cake to arrive on the 8th September. Checked the night before to see if there was a time and it said delivery 15th!! Potential disaster. I emailed immediately but of course it was 9pm. The next morning I was at work and don't have continuous access to my phone. Thank goodness, they made three attempts to phone me and I picked it up on the third. I was resigned to dashing out and trying to get something else but no, they rushed my order through and delivered it on the 9th which was fine for what I needed. Can't praise them enough. And the cake was delicious 😋

The Cake on the outside looked lovely, the image was perfect the condition of the cake when it arrived was also great. However eating the cake was the most horrible experience. It was dry, ordered red velvet however it tasted as if it was in the fridge for a long time. It was an unforgettable experience, I kept on apologizing to everyone eating the cake. I would not purchase again. There could of been a good excuse but for a 60th birthday celebration NO excuse is good enough!

The company delivered the wrong flavoured cake for our wedding day. The next day, I contacted them and the person I spoke to said that I would receive a call back within two hours regarding some portion of monetary refund. I am still waiting for that call 4 days later! I only heard from them via email once I left a negative review which they never published on their website, offering me a free cake!!! I asked for a partial refund and got no response! I would avoid this company as, I accept mistakes can happen, but to not respond to the mistake in a timely manner is poor. The reviews on their website are heavily filtered - they will not publish any below 5 stars. Beware.

I ordered a 50th birthday cake months in advance. They failed to deliver it on the day I ordered it for. Had to rush out and buy a replacement cake at vast expense at the last minute. Zero communications from them to explain or apologise for the delay. Extremely disappointing.

I ordered a rose gold butterfly cake for my mother's 80th birthday party..the cake was delivered on the stated day, beautifully packed and with instructions on how to assemble. The only slight issue we had was that no icing glue was included (3 of us looked thoroughly for it) but we were still able to put the cake together so that it looked just like the picture.
The cake itself was beautiful, light and tasty and enjoyed by everyone. I will definitely use The Cake Store in future.
