Ordered a Chanel cake tasted lovely slightly damaged on arrival but not unrepairable but my biggest and disgusted disappointment was the actual handbag was covered with icing and was polysterine inside? Is that even allowed?

I have been buying from the cake store for ages beautiful cakes that taste delicious can I still buy from them

Ordered a cake for my husbands 60th ,it was delivered promptly and it was beautiful.The cake was moist and the buttercream was the smoothest I've ever tasted .I had so many compliments on the quality of the cake and everyone enjoyed it .

I blame myself here, it was a really important birthday cake for my son that was due to be delivered on a Thursday but didn't get delivered until the following Monday when my son was no longer there. Was desperately disappointed at the time but with hindsight, I should never have relied on just one supplier for something so important. Next year will use 2 or even 3 suppliers albeit with smaller cakes to ensure that at least one cake arrives on that day so l see this issue as my fault & putting all my eggs in one basket. I rejected an offer of a refund as I was so upset at the time. This was probably a mistake. In the context of my relationship with my son, this felt really important.
Last year, the cake store delivered on time with a fantastic cake so I guess I was just really unlucky?

Beautiful cake the record player rushing to the door bell waiting to be handed my cake. And the driver put it on the door step mat in Aberdare where people walk on. I would love to know if that driver had paid a lot of money for a cake would he like the cake to be handed to you with a smile or dump it on the ground duscusting . I had a refund the other week same problem it was a take away. My big build up of the cake at that second was in shock looking to the floor The cake is beautiful will order again hopefully hand it to me with a smile not hard customer service done it all my life

I ordered the two tier handbag cake for our daughters 16th. I paid £106.00 in total. The delivery was good, packaging was very good.
The cake was not what I was expecting, it would never feed 35 people as advertised. The bottom tier was 9 inches square and 1.5 inches deep. The top tier was 6 inches round and 1 inch deep.
The butter cream was not butter but cheap margarine with no sweet taste to it.
The cake was an embarrassment to say the least. I will never use this company again or recommend it. It us misleading advertising and over priced for what you receive. Very poor quality and disappointing rip off.
Do not expect much for your money. Unless you are feeding the borrowers.

I ordered a cake for my son’s 30th birthday and it was brilliant. It didn’t just look great it tasted fantastic. It was securely packaged as I stay in Edinburgh and it was perfect when it arrived. I would definitely order from them again.

Ordered from The Cake Store last minute as my local bakery couldn’t fulfill my order and I’m really impressed with the service. Ordering online was easy, the cake arrived fast and was packaged very secure. No problems with delivery and super easy to assemble. Also the cake look great and tasted amazing. I’m actually surprised at how good it was as I’ve never ordered a cake online before. Will definitely order from you again.

Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday and it arrived on the day, which was great. However, I wasn't aware that some assembly was required for the decorations. Also the Happy Birthday plaque was broken into pieces on arrival.

I would still recommend The Cake Store, as the cake is lovely. The delivery company however, not so much, apparently the word fragile means nothing to them.

Another great experience.

Ordered cupcakes for a birthday treat, as per normal, I left it to the last minute to order. The Cake Store delivered the next day.

Having read the good reviews for The Cake Store, I ordered a 50th birthday cake from them. Ordering was easy, good communication and the cake was delivered safely in time.
The cake looked fantastic and tasted good too. I will definitely use them again.

Ordered a cake for my sons 21st. Arrived on time, well packaged. Couldnt fault that. The cake was pretty tasteless to be fair. The smallest amount of jam but thick buttercream which meant that was all you could taste. I was very disappointed considering the price it cost.

Ordered for a special birthday and had not used this company before.Cake arrived on specified day extremely well packed and in perfect condition. The birthday cake itself was very light and tasty and I highly recommend them. I ordered the 12 inch big numbers cake with lemon curd and will return to try another flavour for sure!

I can’t thank the cake store enough for the beautiful cake I had made. I was sceptical at first for ordering, but so glad that I did. The cake was amazing. Right from ordering to receiving, the cake store was problem free. And the packaging, first class all round. Will most deffantily be ordering again in the future. Amazing cake! We ordered the 10 inch Vanilla Sponge (delicious and moist) option with our logo on for a company anniversary. Quick delivery and everything was just perfect, right down to the colour ribbon they picked out for us and the other decorative pieces they put in there to tie up with our company colours. Thank you so much!!!

no cake arrived. I couldn't contact neither DHL or Cake Store no answer from both side. I had to buy new cake for my daughter's photoshoot. This is unacceptable🙄You are dealing with birthdays and celebrations and responsibility should be high.

Ordered the ninja face cake for my son’s 6th birthday. The cake looked amazing, my son was absolutely over the moon with it and we had so many compliments. The cake itself arrived on time and in great condition as it was very securely wrapped. Most importantly, the cake was absolutely delicious. Thank you so much for making my little boy’s day.

I have bought a few times now from the cake store and the cakes are just so delicious! Always arrive in brilliant packaging and never had any issues. I look forward to our next occasion so we can order another cake.

Ordered this cake as my son decided last minute he really wanted a dinosaur cake for his birthday. Whilst I think that the cake was quite expensive (but also to be expected to get at short notice) everything else about this was fantastic. Delivered exactly when it said it would be, arrived in perfect condition exactly as described and the actual cake is so good. Had so many people compliment it and say how nice it was. Would definitely use them again!

The company uses DHL for delivery. My cake was due on Saturday for a birthday celebration that night in a location away from home. DHL couldn’t get access to deliver at the time they attempted it so rearranged delivery for two days later. There is absolutely no way to contact DHL as we could have collected the cake from one of their service depots. No way to contact the cake store over the weekend either so an expensive cake was delivered to a location miles away 2 days after the event which we could not use. For this reason I won’t use the company again and I would t recommend it either.
