Awful

Awful service. Not even a service as trains never actually run. Continuously delayed and cancelled and charge insane amounts. Should be charged for fraud.

What a testament to such low staff…

What a testament to such low staff morale Thameslink Luton airport Parkway is again this morning
Staff so utterly disaffected with life that they take pleasure in sniping at and being so utterly and unnecessarily rude to the travelling customer as to beggar belief
One considers the juxtaposition ; why if being employed by this charade is so poor an experience why do it? Or if this employer is so spectacularly incapable of recruiting staff that can afford their fellow human beings even the most basic of civility they should be awarded a medal for finding the most miserable condescending and ignorant workforce known to modern man and used as a perfect example of how not to recruit and attempt to deliver a service. Any university should find such material priceless
Alternatively just hand in your franchise and give up!

Stranded in London once again

Stranded in London once again due to cancelled services. Continuous cancellations due to everything from lack of staff, faults and planned maintenance make for an extremely unreliable service that doesn’t even deserve one star. Enough is enough, where is the accountability? There can’t be many services as consistently poor as Thameslink.

This is not a service

This is not a service. It is woefully inadequate and overpriced. New trains which apparently dont run due to numerous faults, or is this just another bare faced lie for not running this so called service!! Train cancelled this morning and again this evening. Not to mention two trains an hour. If Thameslink were bothered they should be massively embarrased.

I would’ve given zero review if…

I would’ve given zero review if possible, I booked a ticket from London to Peterborough and still one week left for that ticket to be used and we don’t need the ticket anymore and as there’s still one week left they could sell that ticket to someone but they refused to cancel and refund not so convenient and flexible.

I’m an early user of this and I’ve been astounded by the frequency and reliability so far. Also had a question a few weeks ago at St Pancras and the fellow on the platform was supremely helpful. Went out of his way to check something for me. I hope they keep this up!

What’s wrong with the tickets?

I’ve been going to Thameslink my whole life but just one time it failed me. We got tickets and when we inserted it there was nothing. We thought there could just be a problem with the particular station but no. We went through ATLEAST 10 scanners. Guess what? Nothing. Thameslink tickets are for some reason not working at all. There was no incorrect information but it still didn’t work. Even though this day was horrible, the other bunch of times I did go through Thameslink it worked fine.

Awful service.My child missed an…

Awful service.My child missed an appointment in London due to multiple cancelled trains. We rebooked for the next day and the train we are returning on cancelled. We can’t even make the connection. More cancellations causing me to miss a medical appointment. Shocking and appalling.

I’ve had so many good experiences with…

I’ve had so many good experiences with Thameslink I thought it was about time I left a review and am amazed at all the negative ones. I frequently use the service from St Albans to London and I’ve never had a serious issue. Ok, a few delays and once I had to go from Hatfield instead because of repairs but I would hardly say it “ruined my life” like some pathetic snowflake, it just cost me £9 for an Uber as I didn’t want to use the bus - that’s all.
I’m a wheelchair user and they always help me on with a ramp then radio through to my destination and there has always been a member of staff waiting for me at the other end.
Service has been excellent. Prices are too high. Delays have to be tolerated if you want safety - train derailments are pretty rare because they repair the lines. Seriously get a grip people, if the worst thing in your life is a late train then your life is pretty damn good.

Shittest train service in the uk …

Honestly this has to be the shittest train service I can’t even write a review on google about it which shows how they’re trying to hide. They’re always late always got some bullshit going on like “ engineering work “. Your mum could be dying and this train service still won’t get you to your destination honestly anyone out there just do your driving man this train service actually motivated me to do it worst and I mean worst train service in the Uk if I could I’d burn it to the ground

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Unreliable Service and High Fares

I’ve had enough of the constant frustrations with this service. The prices are outrageous, especially during peak times, where fares can reach up to £28-30, while alternatives like EMR only charge £4.50-7. The difference in cost is significant, yet the service is consistently unreliable. I’ve regularly experienced delays that cause me to be late for work, and it seems like there’s always something going on—whether it’s engineering work, strikes, or maintenance. Despite paying a premium, trains are rarely punctual.

The first train on Sundays is often cancelled, and when I try to claim a refund, the process is frustrating. In many cases, I’m offered refunds that don’t reflect the actual cost or don’t consider later travel options. Additionally, late-night trains after 11 PM are plagued with cancellations and delays, making it nearly impossible to rely on this service.

What’s more, the staff I’ve encountered have been unhelpful, and on occasion, rude and even racist. This only adds to the negative experience, especially when combined with the already poor reliability of the trains.

In short, this service is overpriced, unreliable, and often difficult to deal with. There seems to be constant disruption, whether it’s maintenance work or operational failures, and it makes you question why you’re paying for a service that doesn’t deliver.Been travelling for 2 years now the service has just gotten worst understand you want to do business ergo the luxurious prices but also offer that kind of service.A serious overhaul is needed to address both the punctuality and the customer experience.

Impossible to get refunds

Not only there are daily delays and cancellations, but when you try to claim refunds, they make it impossible, claiming there was no delays or making the process as difficult as they can, so that you simply give up.
Awful.
