I booked a guided tour of the Teide summit for 29 June, which included a cable car ride and a short trek. However, after making the reservation, I was informed that the tour was not available until 2 July, which was after our return date to Italy on 1 July.
As an alternative, I was offered a sunrise trek to Pico del Teide with a professional guide who speaks German and English (without the cable car, via the long Montana Blanca trail). I was a bit concerned about my children, but after asking lots of questions and receiving reassuring answers, I accepted because I thought we would be safe with a 'professional guide', who would be responsible for us. However, our guide was certainly experienced, but not professional at all.

Firstly, he did not speak English as advertised; he only spoke German. I was the only person who could understand him; my children could not communicate with him at all. This made the trek very uncomfortable for them because they were in an unfamiliar, dark environment with a guide they could not understand.

Secondly, as soon as we arrived at the meeting point at 12:30, he told us not to tell the park guards that we were with him because he only had a private licence, which made us feel unsafe. During the trek, when we met the park rangers for the checks, he completely ignored us and acted as if he didn't know us.

Finally, when we arrived near the Rifugio Alta Vista (at around 3,200 metres), he told my children (aged 16 and 20) that they could go on ahead alone because they were faster than me. His intentions were good: he wanted to stay with me because I was having more problems, and at the same time he wanted my children to 'enjoy the adventure' and develop their sense of autonomy. This was a good strategy to an extent, as my children accepted the challenge and reached the summit, despite it being very hard, very windy and scary. For me, however, it was awful.

The first rule of a professional guide who is responsible for you is to keep the group together and ensure the safety of everyone, which is more important than anything else. Luckily, nothing bad happened, but my eldest son Diego had a very bad experience because he felt responsible for his sister, and he was scared of losing the right way many times. Neither of us enjoyed the last part of the trek. If we had stayed together, my children would have complained more because they would have had to wait for me, but a professional guide should ignore complaints.

As for the trek itself, it was a wonderful experience, and we had no problems with the altitude. However - contrary to what I read somewhere - it is a "technical" trail: there are some points where the trail is very narrow and you need sure footing to avoid falling into the void. Furthermore, especially on the Telesforo Bravo trail, it is often very windy in the early morning. The wind can be very strong and it is really scary (I could not manage to reach the peak). It's also cold, so it would have been a good idea to bring a thermos of hot tea or another hot drink (as Italian professional guide usually do). Finally, the cable car often doesn't work due to strong winds, and there is nowhere on the peak where you can rest or shelter from the wind. You may have to walk back.

Canyoning in the Kourtaliotiko canyon was not as described on the sunbonoo website. Pictures of high jumps in the description which were not part of the trip. Abseil in a waterfall was also not included. Lunch was a bottle of water and a cookie. Pictures were provided 6 days after the activity.
After all a nice route which we did in 2 hours. I have done much more interesting canyoning experiences with nice jumps abseils and long glides.

Szuper volt minden,csak ajánlani tudom!

Enjoyed an amazing day sailing the crew were lovely and the lunch and swim stops were very enjoyable. Met the owner of the sailing boat before we set sail which was so lovely too.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THIEVES AND SCAMMERS. They will give false information regarding meeting/pickup points and leave without you with little to no attempt to locate you. They will leave 40 minutes earlier than specified on the booking confirmation email - again giving false information regarding pickup times. Then, they will refuse to refund you even with several pieces of evidence which show they are completely in the wrong. Absolutely disgusting service

Staff were friendly, very pleasant trip

Fantastic service and experience. The booking process, collection to and from the jet ski was efficient and the staff were friendly. Great value also. I would recommend without hesitation.

Geweldige excursie gehad, aanrader voor iedereen om zoveel moois van Mallorca te zien.

Excellent experience on the respectful dolphin and whale watch in association with Sea Shephard no chase. Saw a few pilot whales throughout, followed by a sea turtle, more whales and a few dolphins too towards the end near the shore.

Wir haben verschiedene Aussichtspunkte angefahren, die Erklärungen und Erzählungen des Fahrers waren spannend und lustig. Wir hatten einen tollen Tag, ich habe mich sehr sicher gefühlt, gerne wieder!

Easy booking, good fun and informative

A truly enjoyable Jeep Safari in Tenerife. Our guide, Neil was friendly, humorous and knowledgeable. The new jeep was comfortable and the time allocated in each area was perfect. We both (couple in our 50s) had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

Booking was simple with good communication from the company. 5 star.

The experience was great and the guide was warmhearted but kind of a mess. The equipment he gave us was completely destroyed, we had to change 3 times the batteries of the headlamps during the hike and the poles were so twisted that adjusting them was already a challenge and they were missing the hand straps. On the way up he was repeating so often to be cautious with the the height sickness that I think I got sick of his words instead of actually the height. And when we were showing the permits to the guards, we had to divide the group in 4 couples with 5min distance between us…. Apparently he couldn’t be seen with a big group… I am wondering if he had a guide license…

My fiancee and I had a great time riding with them! The horses were well fed and groomed. We saw wonderful views, and the horses were very well behaved. There was a hunting party nearby, and the horses were spooked by the loud bang. Nobody fell off, and all the horses stayed together. All in all, it was a great adventure for two hours straight. Do use the mosquito repellent haha!
