I purchased an Stelton EM77 kettle 3 years ago for a second home. We are their most weekends so the use is far less than normal. After 3 years it had broken. As the online store is not in existence i have no recourse to a repair otherwise i could by law prove that i have been unfairly treated. purchase protection provides the consumer with an argument for broken goods that are premium or multiple times the average price in this case a £100 kettle. I tried to contact the company directly and was told it was out of warranty and no repair would be considered. However, for a premium product (kettle costing £100) you would expect a longer lifespan and the law supports this viewpoint. I am surprised that stelton has not offered me a repair. As a result The kettle will have to go into landfill. Not to repairing a kettle that is probably repairable is a direct contradiction to the company policy of sustainability and durability. It would appear, based on trust pilot reviews, lots of people have experienced the same reliability issues with their products
