I am new to the colostomy experience. I was very self conscious with the bulge of the colostomy bag under my shirt. The stealth belt smooths things out so there is not a conspicuous bulge. I am very pleased with the result.

Threads came loose
When I received my belt and wore it for a day the threads around the stoma hole came loose and needed to be fixed by a seamstress.
I quickly contacted the company and even talked with the owner and he rectified the situation by sending another belt at a reduced cost.
I would hope that the quality control on the sewing improves. I wear this belt everyday and it is important part of my ostomy 'system'.

Most significant improvement in quality of life since my surgery.
My Stealth Belt has given me significantly more confidence in dealing with my ileostomy. I wear it practically 24 hours a day. I am finally comfortable sleeping at night without worrying about what's going on with my pouch. I can go out in public knowing that my appliance and pouch are secure and discrete.
The company was quite responsive, answering my questions within 24 hours and delivering the product speedily as requested.

Not for use in water.
i purchased two stelath belts to use in my hot tub. I explained to the women on the phone that I needed extra security for me colostomy in my hot tube and she sold me two belts. These belts went limp once in water and stressed beyond use. It was a waste of my money. I would reccommend the use of Neoprene in the belt to to be used in the water. I'm sire the fabric is find for daily dressing but it failed to accommodate my needs and i would not reccommend them to a friend.

I agree, the Neoprene Water sports style would be the best for water activities, it's the one I typically wear to the water parks and for all the surfing videos I make.
-Normally we recommend the Pro Style for the hot tub, because that's what I wear, but I will make sure to mention your experience when asked about hot tubs in the future.
Your belts may have a problem with the fabric if you feel they stretch too much.
There is a specific amount of stretch for each style we design.
We have other fabrics we use for lighter styles like the lace and intimacy belts.
Sorry for the inconvenience, would you please mail back the two belts, so I can see their condition in case others were made from the same bolt of fabric?
I can send you a label for shipping via email.
I'd like for you to try the Neoprene style instead as you suggested it is better for some water activities.
As an avid hot tub enthusiast myself,

Fabric was soft and smooth, but couldn't quite make it work for me.
Measured as instructed, but the belt keep riding up in the back above the waist, which made the front of belt pooch out. Made it gape open in the front, the pouch never would fit smoothly inside, and it was thick and lumpy, which was the opposite of what I wanted. Tried several time to get it right, never did. Tried making the back narrower, and tighter. Didn't work. Not a happy camper.

Hello Jean, sounds like we need to make you a more specialty style with darted hips. Often or more curvy shape requires a different style to be custom made. We flare it more like a skirt. The light weight Nylon/Lycra fabric is very strong and seems to last the longest while drying quickly. We can use different fabrics for lighter styles like the Sexy Lace Intimacy Belts we make or if you find a better fabric you like, we can make a belt out of it as a prototype for you.

I'm still not sure if the belt is right for me
The quality of the belt is good , But I've had 3 blowouts 2 with the belt , however i've been swimming and snorkeling and the only problem was sand between me and the belt , may be this summer i'll be able to use it more.

Hello Mark, glad to hear you are swimming and snorkeling again. It is recommended to empty the pouch when it is 1/3 to 1/2 full. Also make sure the Stealth Belt is not too tight, but it is comfortable. The belt should support the weight of the bag. The barrier rings also help to provide a better seal around the stoma. They help with skin irritation and to prevent leaks like a washer. Keep in mind we can custom make a belt for you if you have any suggestions to improve it please let me know.

As an ostomy patient and Stealth Belt user, I would HIGHLY recommend this product to any ostomy patients. It has provided a stability to my mentality in dealing with my ileostomy which can be very debilitating to a person's mental health. I will never be able to thank Rick enough for his product.
