Stealth Belt Inc. 

I truly love these belts. I have 3 of them and have raised my self esteem quite a bit. I forget I have an ileostomy now, well until it starts filling or ballooning haha. They support the pouch great and have given me so much renewed confidence.

I use the vertical for sleeping and the slip on horizontal style for daily. I use a 2 piece setup so I can swivel it for the belt I am using. Sleeping at night with the horizontal belt seems like playing russian roulette. I can only imagine rolling on a pressurized pouch. I tried it a few nights but kept waking up worrying rolling on it wrong.

I want to leave a 5 star review, I really do, but on 2 of them so far, the zippers failed prematurely. The actual zipper handle broke first on both, very cheap, then they separated completely. I am pretty handy, so I sort of fixed them to work again but for the price and how much they were used, there is no reason for them to fail.

These will not make your ostomy disappear when wearing tighter clothing, like some people seem to think can be accomplished. You have an ostomy.....it is going to show with tight clothing haha. The slip on style is very low profile, while the velcro version is pretty thick and easy to see.

I ordered a stealth belt vertical orientation, and a belt extender. Products were shipped immediately and I had them in two days. Belt is really well made, thinner fabric than I was expecting, but comfortable. Very pleased so far.

Ordered a pro vertical model they shipped a horizontal. Very expensive product!

Called and I had to pay return shipping plus they wouldn't ship the replacement until the return arrived.

Great idea. Just too bulky for me. I wear tight dresses, leggings and trousers, so I need a really low profile "cover up".. I don't need a "support" function. Ostomy wraps USED TO BE available.....can't find them in the UK now?? A pregnancy belly band works well if you can buy a smaller size to get one to fit snugly, but not too tight - much lower profile and you can fold the bag up underneath the belly band as you wish.

I custom ordered, by phone, a stealth belt and muffler with rush—paid $50 extra for the rush order and never received my muffler. When I contacted the company, they said I never ordered the muffler, even though I specifically wanted the belt and muffler for the purpose of reducing unwanted noises—which I discussed with the agent I talked with. Now what am I supposed to do, pay even more shipping for their mistake?

I ordered the stingray stealth belt a couple of months ago. I have only warn it twice and both times it caused a leak around my flange. I am very mindful about not letting my bag get too full but still the only leaks I have had since my surgery 5 months ago has been when I have used this belt. An expensive product that causes leaks .... very disappointing!!!!!!! It felt great when I put it on and I was looking forward to feeling somewhat normal again but don't want the extra worry of leaking.

I purchased the Stealth Belt immediately after surgery and had many issues. After speaking with the President of the company (who is also an ostomate) I realized a lot of the issues I had with the product were actually related to having poor/inappropriate ostomy supplies. (VA FTW)

I encourage everyone to give this company a try; a lot of people love their products. If you don't? They'll work tirelessly to make sure you are happy.

I still recommend waiting a little while after your surgery to learn how your new body works, how much output you have, etc. so you know which product will be best for you. Regardless, I'm very pleased.

I think they are really trying to provide a good product. It’s just that it doesn’t work for me. My general impression is that it works best for men. Almost all the good reviews are from men. As a slim woman, I find the belt rides up to my waist (even with the adjustment recommended to me) and the Velcro is in the front which adds bulk (which I’m trying to avoid) on my tummy. The Velcro also irritates my skin and I can’t wear it for more than a few hours. I also have an issue with stool collecting around my stoma. By having the pouch horizontal, that challenges me even more. I think this is expensive but wouldn’t mind if it did the trick. I have a one piece, closed pouch and I find it cumbersome trying to tuck it neatly into the belt. I had just purchased some high waisted leggings that did the trick - much easier, cheaper, more comfortable, pouch lays even flatter, and can be vertical. Since I won’t be wearing leggings in the summer, I’ll have to come up with a solution at that time. I might try the Stealth Belt for certain activities when wearing shorts but the Velcro will still irritate and maybe more so with warm weather. Another point — I guess I didn’t get that I had to return within 10 days. I have so much on my plate and anything regarding my ostomy requires some trial. Given I had to actually wear it, that excluded me from returning it, anyway. I bought 2 and returned the one within 10 days because I didn’t have enough trial time. I didn’t want to be with 2 if it didn’t work. I did have to remind them that they had the return but I didn’t yet get credit. With the reminder, the credit was applied immediately but I felt I had to be on top of the situation.

I have a new suggestion to make. I purchased a good high waisted legging and had a seamstress make it into shorts. It hides my pouch beautifully without too much pressure. Super easy and comfortable. I can wear under shorts and slacks without the “legging shorts” from showing. It worked so well I had 5 made up. For a slim and active woman, this is a great alternative. BTW, a single pair of leggings plus seamstress charge cost me a lot less than the Stealthbelt.

Fixed my body, but i need something more.

I was diagnosed with crohn's disease in 1997 and had my ileostomy surgery in June of 2014. The stealth belt is the best support Belt product out there and the best part is is a low profile so you can wear just about anything. I just got my stealth belt yesterday and for the first time since I had my surgery I was able to wear a polo shirt without an undershirt. I would highly recommend the stealth belt to anybody and everybody that has had ileostomy or colostomy surgery it is well worth the investment.

I've had an ostomy since 2011. After surgery, I tried various products until I happened upon Stealth Belt. The Stealth Belt worked much better than others in every situation: the office, when sleeping, and - especially - when active. Prior to surgery, I ran, biked and swam regularly. I wasn't sure I could get back to that but, with Stealth Belt, I was able to resume those activities and return to hard training. In 2012, I completed the 140.6 mile Ironman race using my Stealth Belt and have since competed in numerous other triathlons and marathons. Couldn't do it without their product...truly a life changer for me...and good people to do business with. Chris S.

Dealing with an ostomy can be difficult. Buying a stealth belt was the best decision I made after surgery. I am active outside again, comfortable in public settings, and can be confident in my love life. Anyone with an ostomy would benefit from a Stealth Belt!

It does support the bag and keep it stable, but the pouch for the bag is far too small. It bunches the bag up and creates a large bulge that gets even worse if you try to put a muffler in as well. If support during activities is all you're looking for, it should be just fine. But it definitely makes it far more noticeable under your shirt. I've ordered a vertical pouch belt that should be better for everyday wear, then the pro will only be for activities

pros: Keeps bag from dangling out of your shirt

cons: you cannot wear anything you please and still keep your bag hidden as advertised. If you tuck your shirt in or wearing form fitting clothes a bulge is clearly noticeable on your abdomen
On hot days you will sweat a lot wear your belt wraps around, which will dissolve the glue holding your bag and cause leaks

If the price is too steep for you just use a wide piece of cloth to tie around your waist. The same thing will be accomplished.

I was very concerned about going swimming with my grandchildren .but after putting on my belt I had a great time with them in the pool in Florida. Best thing my wife ordered me. Paul Helminiak

I ordered the Stealth Belt Pro maybe 4-5 months ago over the telephone. I gave the woman all the correct measurements etc. I ordered it to wear with a Hollister two piece pouch 21/4 flange. I explained that my stoma was about 4" above the belly button to the right. It was to be worn in the horizontal position. When I received the belt I watched the video on how to put it on, And wear it etc. When I put the pouch into the bag I noticed there was a bump, lump, bulge, Or whatever you want to call it. I thought to myself Oh well lets see what happens. Anyway as the bag fills the bulge gets larger. I would have to wear a baggy t shirt to hide the bulge. One reason I bought the belt was so I can wear a dress shirt. Cant do it with this, Because of the big bulge. There was very little urine in the bag, And already there was a big lump. From time to time I would wear the belt thinking I was doing something wrong. One day when I was walking into a store I felt a leak. I turned around and went home. I found that The bag come loose from the flange, And was leaking all over. I tried wearing it again around the house. everything was fine the first day, But I did not do much moving around. The next day I decided to wear it while I was walking my dog. By the time I got home from a two block walk I felt another leak. This time my pouch was leaking from the bottom of the flange. I decided to call Stealth Belt. I explained to the woman what was happening and asked her if she received any other complaints. She said they have not received any complaints. Anyway Some time passed and I figured I would try the Stealth belt again. I wore the belt around the house, and then to pick up my grandson from school. I couldnt believe it. The pouch again pulled off of the flange. I got home and called stealth belt and told the woman what was happening. She told me that all the bag compartments were made from the same pattern. HUMMM! I was going to send her a picture of the bulge etc, because I wanted to order a different kind of belt. After thinking about it I decided to do some research. I found that they did have complaints about the compartment. Anyway I took the belt with me when I went to my Drs appointment. I had the stoma nurse look at it when I put it on etc. Right away she saw that the compartment that the pouch goes into was to small, And it just bunches up the pouch. Then when I would move and turn the pouch would come loose. So here I am stuck with a belt that I cant use. It cost somewhere around $100.00 That is quite a bit of money to trow away. After some research on the web I found a company the has a very good belt and wrap. I am very happy with my new belt. The pouch compartment is at least twice the size of the Stealth belt. This is only the experience I had with Stealth belt. You may have a better experience than I had. For now I will stick with the other company.

I think it would be nice. If it would of fit right. Its too big and i have to wear it upside-down so my pouch fits correctly..

I really like the fit, especially with my clothes on. It is more discreet than any of the other belt products. I have a great sense of security when I am
wearing the belt. It makes me feel less exposed should anyone happen to see more than they should. The only thing that I have a problem with is emptying the bag, it is a little awkward, but worth it.

We love your product but we are from Canada and by the time we got it the price was very high 264$... having a colostomy is a big expense and very hard on your self esteem.Your product helps people live a more normal and active life .we would like to buy a second one so when you wash one you can wear the other one,but can not afford it at that price. Is there a Canadian company that sells them for the 99 $ which is not a bad price.My husband works at the school and was very worried about going back to work ,with the stealth belt he has no problem because no one can see his bag.It has made a big difference in his social life also......Thank you for your product
