Stealth Belt Inc. 

After hearing others talk about the Stealth Belt it sounded like something that I would want to wear a lot. In reality I only wear it when absolutely necessary. For participating in an athletic event, swimming, sitting in the hot tub, and golf it is beneficial.

My 17 year old son has an ileostomy after surgery for ulcerative colitis. Other than times that he is changing his bag, he rarely takes his Stealth Belt off. He wears it while at school, making a possibly embarrassing condition undetectable. He wears it while sleeping which makes bag accidents rare and even wears it while playing soccer along with a hard plastic "guard" that inserts easily. He now has two Stealth Belts so we can launder one while he wears the other. When he wears it while swimming no one asks him "whats that?" (He says "it just looks like part of my swimsuit.") It is well made and durable. I consider the Stealth Belt a necessity for an active young person with an ostomy.

I am sooo glad that my wife stumbled across the Stealth Belt product during my recovery from a complete colectomy. After my surgery the Ostomy nurse assured me that little would change in my life in terms of physical activities. WRONG! I am active and hard working and it became extremely clear to me that this was going to be an issue as I tried to move forward. Intimacy was also greatly effected for me. Having an ostomy pouch hanging off of my abdomen was not natural and I was insecure as a result. The Stealth Belt turned my fears and insecurities upside down. After receiving my first Stealth Belt my attitude changed rather dramatically. My sense of security regarding my pouch being dislodged from the wafer has been greatly reduced as well. I have been on the beach wearing my Stealth Belt. If I did not have the belt I would never have been on that beach with no shirt on. The Stealth Belt will forever be a part of my life. As much as possible I try to spread the word to others having to wear a pouch. This is a great product. The Stealth Belt can truly be life changing.

Of all of the products I use to live with an ostomy, Stealth Belt is the one most responsible for allowing to me to live the same life I had before the ostomy. I'm able to wear the same style of cloths, still manage chores on a farm/ranch, motorcycle touring and primitive camping (1750's style!). And appliances easily last 7 to 10 days because they're supported at all times, never sagging or getting tangled at my belt line.

We all know the number of products we're willing to try in an effort to regain some sense of normalcy. Most of them can be categorized as either good or bad depending upon personal preference or individual physique. Finding the combination that works for each individual is a process of discovery. For that reason I'm hesitant to promote products merely because they work well for me. One size does not fit all here!

Stealth Belt is the exception to the rule. It remains the only product that I've recommended to other ostomy patients. In fact, I've recommended it to every ostomy patient I've encountered as well as my surgeon, who was so impressed that he now includes it as part of his pre-surgery information package.

Stealth Belt lives up to its name, my ostomy is barely noticeable to either me or others. I have several so that I'm never without one, even one that my wife calls "the sexy one".

I honestly found my stealth belt useless as it took three weeks to get it and by then I had learned to live without it. I would not do it again.

I began a search for a product, to better face the world with an ostomy pouch, shortly after my operation in Nov. of 2009. I googled for a couple of days and finally arrived at the Stealth site. I had no idea how this product would help me, but I sure was willing to try. I have been wearing a Stealth Belt for over 5 years 24/7. It has given me the confidence to continue my life as I knew it before my Ostomy. I still enjoy all sports: golf,curling,hockey baseball ,skiing,swimming,dancing ......and yes sex. The feeling of safety and comfort provided by the belt is irreplaceable.
It gives me the freedom to live normally in all situations, socially , professionally and privately. I would highly recommend the Stealth Belt to any person with the type of ostomy that fits the belt. They are constructed professionally and fit great and last a very long time. Even though I have 5 belts I sometimes still wear my 1st one which has been washed hundreds of times. Keep up the great work.

I am a tennis instructor and was very uncertain about my future when I had surgery. I don't think I would have been able to continue teaching if it was not for the Stealth Belt. The ostomy product I use would not survive the day with all the running and twisting that I do all day. The Stealth Belt keeps everything in place and safe from coming undone. I also think it prolongs the lifespan of the ostomy equipment I use. I own two belts and will be ordering more soon.

The stealth belt is my most important garment. I wear it every day. I am a dancer and so wear it to dance classes. I am very grateful to the designer and the maker - it is carefully and thoughtfully made. I want to order another one, but can't afford it yet. I guess my main criticism would be that it is expensive, but given how often I wear it, well worth it. I wear mine with a hard plastic stoma shield. I don't feel secure with just the neoprene muffler pads, but I am a very active person and have only had my stoma for 6 months, so still a little wary of bumping into things. But really, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making this, It makes me feel secure and comfortable.

I use a single piece ostomy bag and it needs a farly large diameter flange opening Sealth Belt. I needed to buy the Specialized belt for a 3 1/4" flange. You pay extra for the Specialized because it is supposed to have more reinforcement to handle the larger flanges. If my belt did have extra reinforcement, it was not obvious and not substantial. I wound up getting a belt from my supplies provider EdgePark. It has firm foam pieces that are very secure against the flange. It does not look as nice as the Stealth but it works very well and I use it more often than the Stealth.

This belt has added very much to my life. I now can swim whenever we have company and not be embarrassed. It is very comfortable and I thank you very much.

The product is well made and is useful to keep the pouch out of the way, hidden and secure. However, I've found that a piece of waterproof tape functions nearly as well when the bag is extended to the side as with the belt. Your partners will like the devise, as it is MUCH nicer to cuddle next to.

Hey peep's, Bladder Cancer 2/8/12..BCG Chemo Failure, 10/15/12 RC/IC,Two months later recieved 1st Stealth Belt, first i tried a couple other Belts,was really having problems Adjusting to this new Normal,we had a trip planed to go to minnesota for Christmas,After lots of Research, i once again Ordered Another Belt,(stealth belt) I ordered with the hopes of trying/taking this new one with me,Got a hold of Richard, He Assured me that my Belt would arrive on time, well it did, It Changed Everything!! As soon as i put it on, I knew this was the one, Our Trip to mn went Great, Airport was so smooth, i was freaking out,Scaned,Said Ostomy, He said. Happy Holidays, That was it, I do everything with my Belt, Stealth Belt is Awesome People, It Really gives one the Security needed to Try and Enjoy Life Again, If you Think the Price is Alot,I still use my 1st one,16 months now, Do the Math, Well Worth it, Craftman ship is Great, I have 2 Stealth Belts now, lost 50+ lbs, so needed another,Hope's this Help's someone with their new Normal, I was worried about spending that much $ and it not work right, so i called Richard and explained to him my Location and placement of Stoma, This is Important People, Just tell him what DME you use he'll take it from there, You'll do Everything you did before,But you'll just do it with more thought to fit your New Normal, 100% Buy one .. 2yrs and Counting.. Back in July 2014, I ordered 2. You had a sale, buy 1 and 2nd half off. It made sense, wash one and wear one. Even with pre-authorization, the claim was rejected. I thought perhaps it was because I did not have a prescription. I got a prescription and when I went to resubmit, that was not the case. It was because I had ordered 2 at once. I am not sure how to get around this, because I understood I would be able to order one per month and as long as I did not exceed that quota ordering 2 at once It should have been accepted. Thank you.

I also think there should be more colors available as standard ordering.
If you could find a way to expedite orders and bring the cost down I think you would do better.

I never take my belt off it's amazing!!
