If I could give half a star I would do so! I have been waiting for a reply from Southwark Council regarding allocated spaces for medical personnel for over 6 weeks. Today I receive a one-line response that shows the responder, Mr Clarence Parkes, has not bothered to read the email and is attempting to fob me off with a website. Absolutely appalling behaviour. Disgraceful. Southwark should be ashamed of this dept.

Useless thing ever. Reported my neighbors for loud noises by email them many times, and called them even more times. Surprisely Nothing happened.. Noise like up since 4 years everyday ...... Council does Nothing . neighbors been asked and letter been sent as profe. and still nothing of This council.

estate cleaning is absolute rubbish, stairwell has not been swept or washed for over 4 weeks, bin room's not cleaned the so-called 'cleaner' kick's the excess litter back under the bin room door when the bin men have done the collection, cleaning supervisor nowhere to be seen, this is a ticking COVID timebomb.

Southwark Council Housing Services are awful. The website looks pretty but is pointless. The 24/7 emergency repair line only operates 9-5 Mon-Fri. The phone line says it is quicker to report a repair online, and that they will get back to you the same day. Not once have I had a response to a repair I have raised online. When I query this with people on the phone they say the repair request doesn't exist. When I ask them if they can feed this back to the appropriate team internally, they tell me no because their department doesn't deal with it.
We have had a leak in communal pipes which is affecting at least 4 floors for over two weeks and have been unable to get them to send a plumber out. They tell me a plumber is booked in 'today', but of course they never show up. Once their contractors did show up, but they sent roof top repair men - I live on the 5th floor of a 10 storey building... I have been spending about 1.5hrs every day trying to get this sorted. Shocking. Just shocking.
I used to have a good opinion of Southwark Council until I bought a flat that they are the freeholder of. 2 months of ownership in and I have already reported 4 official complaints. All four about their housing services team.

they are a joke, repairs take for ever they are not upto a high standard, they want your money and that's all

They don’t care where they put you as long as they get you out their housing building. I will never forget I was a teen mum, I just had an emergency c-section and my baby was due to leave the hospital very soon. Bare in mind I was living in Peckham and they wanted to move me all the way to Sutton! It may not sound so far but for a first time teen mother to move away from everything and everyone I know was not ideal... that wasn’t the worst of it, the property was on 5th floor, no lifts just steps, bare in mind I LITERALLY just had a c-section. I asked how would I carry a new born baby (who was premature at the time) in a buggy up 5 floors after just having a c-section. When I went back to explain I was as if I had made the biggest sin by just complaining, I was told in basic words it’s not a good enough medical reason so I should be great full for what they had given me. I wish I asked for the ladies name because I would have most definitely posted it on here 10 times!!!

I want to say a huge thank you so much to Chris from the business department Revenues Officer I had a problem with my grant Every time I called them they say the same thing we working on it but when Chris took over it actually was going very fast forward and he really did help me a lot .if anyone got a problem related business rate speak to Chris he will help you Southwark Council need More people like him Also I want to say thank you so much to the finance and department Also everyone they worked really hard . Honestly thank you so much Chris you really change my life so thank you.

Miss atonia Sawyer's and Stephen the case workers are sell out they don't care if you live on the streets theses Pepe make people homeless it doesn't if your disabled blind the chuck on the streets instead rehoming or put you dumps with junkies no locks in front door people theifung of you.shame on sorwark

As usual and unsurprisingly the minute corona virus became public and well before the lockdown southwark council housing closed down bidding for properties on their Homesearch site WHY .... well it's like every service from this housing office any reason to do the absolute bare minimum they are a disgrace and their public service is shocking so why shut down bidding I get why viewing is an issue now but bidding is done online .At a time of housing crisis yet again we can't rely on the only service that gives hope to thousands of people to get a home

Can’t get through on phone!! Been in a queue for over half an hour every time I rings. Need to sort parking!!
