These people at Southwark repairs are a joke moved into a property July 2021 didn’t know there was so many repairs here’s a few wet room floods dirty fans and cupboards sloping floors half a room done due to dry rot unsafe window can’t wash walls paint just comes off had a gas leak sept 2021 have no cupboards with drawers guess what some idiot at the voids team cancelled all the jobs so went imbued and now saying I refused repairs when I challenge them they are saying they couldn’t contact me bet they could if I owed rent total disgrace and still waiting for repairs to be done
No Phone number for council tax payers?
Been property owner for 20y. Now have a once a decade council tax problem. But Southwark has decided it no longer needs telephones, even during covid. So sent an email as suggested. response?
"It will take 2 weeks to respond. Have a nice life. Bye"
For the 1000's and 1000's they collect in council tax, they cant have a switchboard to handle council tax issues????? What percent of revenue would that be? (rhetorical)... almost nothing!

What a disgrace a 77 year old man who's reflexes and driving skills are not so sharp got caught short on a Box JUNCTION because of a driver in front and no fault of his own and was fined £65 put of his Pension Money of which he could have used for Winter Fuel and Heating what a disgrace. Southwark Council you should hold your head in shame. This mans only Freedom is his car because he cannot walk very far.

Breath-taking institutional incompetence
The most consistently ineffectual organisation that I have ever encountered. Complete lack of communication between colleagues and departments results in having to restart nearly every complaint I have ever undertaken with them. Seemingly arbitrary distinctions between department's areas of responsibility result in a confusing experience trying to find the correct department to talk to, and allows all departments an opportunity to avoid being forced to deal with your complaint, which appears to be an opportunity they all take advantage of frequently. What seems to be a lack of a central system for reference numbers results in reference numbers given being useless around 50% of the time. It is often unclear which reference number is needed at what time, and staff also seem to have no understanding of this system. When after several days you are finally able to convince the council to send someone out to fix your problem, there is around a 33% chance of them turning up at all, at which point the whole process usually has to start again. Whenever you call, you will always be on hold for a minimum of 1 to 2 centuries, and if you email they will simply ignore you entirely.
If you live in the borough of Southwark, my deepest condolences. If you do not, then perhaps consider never ever doing so.

Southwark Council are a disgrace issuing PCN's to unsuspecting drivers in their so called Experimental Restricted areas that are so poorly signposted. I will never support the area of Southwark again in any capacity.

I was told that an engineer will attend within 2 hours and it's been now 2 days and not even getting feedback on the flooding that is in our communal area and is affecting my flat as well as neighbours! 6 calls, 1 email from me and couple from my neighbours and 0% answer! I am scared to use any of my water supplies in the flat as flooding is almost on my door level. May I ask why do I need to pay council tax if I am not getting any service at all - in most critical times???!!!! No comment on how the issue has been dealt with over the phone - just keep calling back as we can't get through to contractors!!!!!?????? Joke!
Rude Customer service staff
Southwark Council staff who answer calls are so rude. I cannot stand this council and the people who work for them.
Customer service operator Pamela who's voice could be mistaken for a man. Absolutely rude. I'm speaking of the problems with my heating and that it's never happen before but she insists on telling me no I am wrong and this is how it is, as if she's been living in my home and then has the absolute cheek to hang up the phone.
Honestly, if you are unhappy in your job by all means leave, you're not being forced.

Southwark stop employing the unemployable! At least 80% your staff are rude and useless. Why waste money on substandard staff? They are costing you money you cannot afford to lose. All the men walking around in shiny shoes and suits are as thick as bricks, what are they doing with clip boards and pens (DRAWING SQUIGGLES) and the ones with pads are only using it to play candy crush! Wilson in the heating department what a plank and his manager.. two shorts planks. I could name so many more but there isn’t enough space! Lol

Had a waterleak that leaked into my kitchen-lamps, Southwark council refused to send someone out unless I had a report filed.
Was on the phone for over an hour and even though the water leak is Southwark councils responsibility- no help whatsoever.
Never experienced such a bad service.

Please who can help me with this issue? I have applied for rehousing from (Southwark council) and since April I haven’t heard from them yet, I’ve been calling, and I’ve called them more than six time now but they keep saying next week I should receive a letter and their next week never comes. I’ve been living in my apartment for the past 12 years now when it was just me and my daughter now I have two boys and I expecting one more……making it 4 kids and my partner plus me in two bedroom. Our house is very small us now, we are just managing it. now My daughter is going to be 13 year old in a few weeks and she has been complaining bitterly for sharing the room with her brothers. Am working part time and my partner is working full-time and we paying our rent regularly so I don’t understand why they have to delay us this much, I’m so not happy because of my daughter she has been complaining all the time and I’m tired of this. Who can I speak to if the council aren’t responding to my request? I just need someone help out there. thank you

Southwark council has the heating on full blast during a heatwave, tenants have no control over the heating, it's like living in a sauna. unfortunately, the staff are on holiday and the CEO is galavanting around the country visiting various air-conditioned offices
Southwark Council Parking Services Creaming Off Drivers
I can't believe I have been issued with two PCN fines £130 fines driving on Southwark residential street. I wonder why? I suppose it's to do with the inconspicuous roads signs cunningly positioned, not to see until you have breached the contravention. I know councils are struggling for cash but using underhand tactics to fleece motorists surely is not a solution or an ethical way to raise revenue. Moreover, many of the bear traps springing up all over our London residential roads are not even justified and are used in such a way to make one question the integrity of the traffic enforcement services. It is clear that motorists are being used as cash cows, and there is no sincere desire to improve traffic flows in the local area and in the city of London in general. Otherwise, roads signs would clearly be seen and not put in such a way to ambush the unsuspecting drivers and generating millions for councils every year. I hope the persecution culture and vilification of drivers would stop, particularly when most car drivers are not using their cars as a luxury but out of sheer necessity as I do as a disabled driver and particularly parents that use their cars for school runs and let us not forget caregivers such as home carers like my sister on minimum wage and been nabbed 16 times on Southwark residential streets with the clandestine road signs and she had to take out a bank loan to clear and after having request for payments by instalments refused. The council offers discounts for early payments of fine, which is £65.00, which is an average amount spent on weekly shopping for low-income families and is 90% of weekly state benefits for a single person. If a fine is not paid then expect the bailiffs to be knocking on your door and your name to be registered with a credit reference agency to scupper any chance of getting a mortgage or a credit agreement. Do these bureaucrats actually know the damage they doing to innocent people's lives and all because of the mortal sin, "They are driver, so let's punish them by fining them" Or better still, "let's put random road signs all over the place and Bingo".
who is in charge of this council?
I have had a flood in my bathroom since October 2020. This is due to rainwater pipe with a split. There has been excuse after excuse regarding the repair of this, after taking months to find out what it was. I have been onto every department of this council, I could give a list, even Head of Council, MP Arbitration, Advocacy Repairs etc etc., No one does anything or even answer except to make another excuse. I have sent a letter from my Hospital - COPD and Asthma, Osteoporosis and approaching old age rapidly. I expect all these departments are still being paid, and head of council is avilable for interviews, but of course does not have to live in these damp conditions. Who are all these departments answerable to? At the end of my patience, no where else to turn. I expect the minions will be knocking on the doors asking for votes very soon.

I have complain and report the noise problem since 2020 Aug the neighbor behaviour still same and now is 2021 April. Nothing been action every time I call just tell me to wait they need to witness the problem. OK fine , finally they witness the problem still nothing action. People still partying every weekend sometime week day and we are still in the pandemic. More than 20 people was partying but they just don't care. So ridiculous and disappointed with this council

Southwark council suffer from general ineptitude. I am a resident in Bermondsey, and after 15-ish years, I can say that every dealing I have with Southwark Council is an opportunity for them to demonstrate their inefficiency and incompetence. I can assure you, they never seem to fail in this regard. It doesn't matter which department, everyone you speak to seems to have no sense (common or otherwise) and is doing a really bad job of winging it. I would like to plead with the council to train their staff and/or stop recruiting dullards. The day I speak to someone at Southwark council that is articulate, offers reasonable customer service, and knows what they are doing, will be a very emotional day for me - my eyes are welling up at the thought.
Disgraceful and shameful non-service
If I could give half a star I would do so! I have been waiting for a reply from Southwark Council regarding allocated spaces for medical personnel for over 6 weeks. Today I receive a one-line response that shows the responder, Mr Clarence Parkes, has not bothered to read the email and is attempting to fob me off with a website. Absolutely appalling behaviour. Disgraceful. Southwark should be ashamed of this dept.
