Really bad everyone they fined my husband nearly 200 so taking it to tv and papers immediately he was just trying to work and someone ran to van fast as they could and drove off dangerously he got it all on camera!
Where emergency workers meant to go if area is permit only he was on main road he mounted kirb because cars were nearly hitting him

Disgusting place with disgusting people they fined me now at 200 when I can’t afford to eat already I’m so underweight I am emergency worker that had to park up kirb or I would of been hit there was no signs or lines

Yet again Bexley Council haven't bothered to collect my recycling, even though it was left out in time and in the correct place etc, etc.

Then again, why should I be surprised, they're pretty useless in general.

Funny thing is, they NEVER have any problems with taking your council tax every month, interesting....

Tried to ask for assistance in a wedding venue matter a simple minor gripe.

even though the issue isn't a constitute matter just some assistance with a council run venue.
Other advise try Bexleyheath or try anther council!!.

Does make you wonder what councillors actual do, besides reply with automatic replies out of the office every time.

LB Bexley Child Services is not fit for purpose. They do not care about children or their carers and certainly do not fulfil their legal obligations under the Children Act 1989. They lack empathy, common sense and communication skills and, in general, are disgusting. If salaries were performance related the hierarchy would be destitute. I have given a 1 star rating as I was unable to continue my review putting in nothing or a minus!

They seem to try to help, though not always, but they are not a well-informed, efficient council. I have had to resort to the local MP, but again competence is lacking. This is not my first experience seeking help from an MP. The MP for Westminster east (or something like that) was far more helpful. It’s the same everywhere, some people are better prepared, or more experienced, than others. I was never made to feel so philosophical in my life.

No goods received only crap emails saying they will investigate order.

I recently contacted the council regarding some quite complex enquiries, and I had the pleasure of being assisted by Melissa in Customer Services. From the very beginning, she was friendly, approachable, and above all, highly professional. She took the time to really listen and understand my situation, which instantly made me feel reassured.

What impressed me most was her ability to break down complicated information into clear explanations that were easy to follow. She guided me through each step patiently, making sure I had all the details I needed and that nothing was left unclear. Melissa not only provided excellent support but also showed genuine care and empathy, which made a huge difference.

Her calm manner and efficient approach turned what could have been a stressful and overwhelming experience into a positive one. It’s rare to come across someone who combines professionalism with such kindness and dedication to helping others.

Melissa is truly an asset to the team, and I am very grateful for the outstanding service she provided.

They are the worse council ever. Very selfish and money making especially through parking in the area. You use to be able to park in the surrounding areas to then walk to the station to catch a train into work. As of recent they've put up permits in all the surrounding areas near the station with a 10-4pm restriction notice. Basically you cant park there during those times. Its out of order because the Elizabeth Line via Abbey Wood has been a big help for many commuters who could park their car near enough by the station and get into central. Now they've taken that away. Bexley council also do not make it clear in some areas that there is a parking restriction so beware or you might get a ticket. Awful Awful council.

I think that when the council contact me telling me the refuse collectors tell me my bin was not collected because it was not put out is ridiculous. I explained that the refuse collectors moved my bin from the edge of my property and put it next to my neighbours bin at the edge of the neighbours property, with the neighbours bin, the refuse collectors could not have moved it if it was not out. This is the 4th time my general green bin has been missed. Now that the refuse collectors are claiming that my bin was not out I am feeling like there is some sort of issue here. I am always polite to the refuse collectors, I don't deserve this. Denying the fact that the refuse collectors moved my bin but did not empty it claiming it was not out is beyond belief. I have only lived here 4 years, the council claim to have a 99% collection is that because the refuse collectors claim the bins were not out when they miss collections? Council website does not give any email contact for missed collections and their emails have do not reply why? Date of missed collection 30 May 2025. I don't believe the claim of 99% collection. I am not a liar, I have photos from my CCTV showing my bins and neighbours bins waiting for collection with date on CCTV image. Why did the council believe the refuse collectors that my bin was not out? why didn't they believe me, why would I lie? I pay a large council tax and garden refuse collection payment, the council should be ashamed, using their power against people. This has caused me a lot of stress, I am gathering evidence as well as paying to have my refuse collected. The refuse collectors work for their salaries they are not doing me any favours. Of course my neighbours see we put the bins out the night before the same as they did.

If you want planning permision then phone the council planning dept and tell them you have been a victim of domestic abuse then you can get anythig passed they will bend every rule ignore facts mistitle applications and remove cil charges, if anyone complains they will see to it no action is taken.

DA 81PB.1 Clark close .Bexley Council Housing Department There are many lazy people who do not do their job, they put a new lock on the front door and the system on my keys does not work, the door does not open. I am an elderly, sick person, I enter my apartment through the window (luckily I live on a low floor), I have been doing this for 2 months. Please replace my key because the front door has been replaced and a new chip installed. My keys do not work. How many times have I not contacted? No one even came and looked, once they called me and said that I should give my bank details so that they can pay for the key. I wonder on what basis I am supposed to do this. If I call, no one comes. I am an elderly woman. My legs hurt a lot, fortunately I live on the ground floor. I have to enter my apartment through the window for 2 months, where do we live in London or in the jungle??. Plus there was a leaking pipe in the attic,,, 2 floors were flooded, Orbit is doing repairs on the first floor and no one even asked about the damage to my apartment on the floor below and whether any help was needed.. Eh, what a disgrace to the work staff.. If you don't come to the address that I will write to you, I will write a complaint to the government and the mayor of London. Thank you

Yet again garden bin not collected. Online was reported that I hadn't left my bin out. All other bins collected. Just nit the garden bin that I pay separately for. When phoning was told that the decision could not be overridden ,because the bin collectors say it wasn't out. Even before when you could report it,they said they had come and emptied it and it was still full. Personally, I think bexley council are the worst and I expect council tax will get even higher for the absolute poor service we receive.

Bexley council has some lazy refuse collection operatives my reason for this statement is as follows
NONE of my bins were collected today even though placed at the EDGE of my property as suggested in there advice . This has happened many times and I have over the last few years complained to the management about this and to be specific asked for the refuse collection details
which by their non compliance I note as a refusal to co-operate . I ask for the “METHOD STATEMENT “ and their “ RISK ASSESSMENT” so as to judge how close to the edge of my property my bins could be safely position for their collection This I have requested in the past and been totally ignored . I am 76 year old retired Construction Site Manager I worked for many top companies and held a C.S.C.S. Health & Safety Certificate (H.S.E.) for F.A.W. , C.O.S.H.H. ,R.I.D.D.O.R. I wore a Green Cross on my hard hat as a First Aider , my last Site where I was a Site Manger was the New Erith Library and the Accommodation and Affordable Accommodation above and some Shop/other below. “ METHOD STATEMENTS and RISK ASSESSMENT “ are very important to carry out any Contracted works . So would Bexley Council Please tell me why my bins are continuously never get correctly collected and/or Never get returned to where they were collected from and how close to the the edge of my property they should or should I leave them anywhere on the public footpath as an obstruction for the blind , Elderly with simmer frames or parents with baby buggies to struggle by because when your operatives throw them back onto the pavement randomly that's what occurs . I quote from my enquiry about obstruction of the Public Footpath :-

Can you confirm if you are excluded from this LAW.
MY bins were left at my front OPEN gate at the EDGE of my property and NOT collected or RETURNED to the EDGE of my property
picture shows previous bin Round up I wonder where this lot got retuned .is that in your METHOD STATEMENT if NOT then send me a breakdown of your Method.

Back in the day when Council Workers were part of the community the “Dust Men / Bin men” would come to your home garden and collect the bin , Take it to the Truck , Empty it and then put it back in the garden where it came from . This format was great and showed care for the old and in-firmed tenants and was also part of their “Method Statement and \risk assessment” .
Now even though the “Bins” have the house “Number” and “Wheels” on the them to make it easy to transport the Men seem unable to Read house numbers or transport them to where they came “So” in the past I have asked for a copy from the Council who have excepted their Tender for the works to please forward me their “Contractors Method statement and Risk assessment” that they the Council should receive before accepting the “Tender” and awarding the Contractor the Works.
I have “Not received” this information .
I am age 74 retired C.S.C.S. , Health and Safety Manager , 5 Day Trained First Aider and Construction Site Manager , my last Contract was the New Erith Library and shop and housing units attached .
I would ask for copies of the Waste collectors “method Statement and Risk assessment” and ask why the collectors “Cannot read the house number on my bin also why they do not return it to my address each week because with my ageing dodgy Knee I find it hard to go and drag it back from halfway down the street “When I would assume They get paid to do “ why else would Numbers be put on the bins or wheels be attached all which should be included in their Method Statement and Risk assessment .
