The printer came in early and it is hands down the best printer I own I am looking to buy another Snapmaker U1 very very soon.

It'\nS.A. huge upgrade from the older reality that we used to have faster forehead, make it way more functional and product.So far has been good quality. There have been some hiccups with some of the software and in the first 2 months, we had to replace a tool head.\nSo there are definitely improvements that are needed as the product moves into new versions.. Customer service has been very good and has followed up and had great communication. Very happy with the customer service.Overall great product and great company.

The speed of the tool head when it changes is game changing. I will be purchasing another U1.

The Snapmaker U1 offers a notably polished experience for a printer in this category. Setup is straightforward, more or less a “plug in, level once, and start printing” process. The interface is intuitive, calibration is uncomplicated, and the machine is production-ready almost immediately.
Print quality is where it stands out. Layer lines are consistent, edges come out clean, and it handles both functional components and finer detail work reliably. Even when pushed to higher speeds, it maintains stability without the common issues like ringing or uneven extrusion seen in many mid-range machines.
Its multi-colour capability is another strong point. Colour transitions are handled efficiently with minimal filament waste, avoiding the heavy purging typical of many multi-material systems. The result is lower material use, less post-print cleanup, and a smoother overall workflow.

The waste management and time conservation omg is unmatched!!!! The quality is spot on too now let’s see what it will do…Absolutely love this machine!!!!

I started 3D printing about 8 years ago with a Prusa MK3. The AMS machines were a thing then, but were often problematic. I watched Prusa and others perfect the AMS and related technologies, but the added time and huge filament waste turned me off, so I kept doing single color with my Mk3. I waited. And then I saw the U1... and waited a little longer to let them polish it up a bit and see how it was received a few months later. After seeing nothing but positive reception, I ordered and it arrived even faster than promised! Mine arrived two days ago (early April). Setup was easy, I followed along with both the manual and the YouTube Setup video. The unit is a bit heavy for one person, but I found it manageable. Calibration went well (after I upgraded the firmware). The quality? It feels like a "real product", not a "maker tool." My first print, the obligatory Snapmaker Dragon... came out perfectly and, perhaps, the best print I've ever made. KUDOS to Snapmaker on the U1. I'm so happy I waited. I've fallen in love, all over again, with 3D printing. On day three, I could not possibly be happier with my U1 and would happily buy it all over again.

Only had printer going for a day so far but would give it a 9/10

Slicer on the other hand is pretty rough 3/10
