I've been a loyal SiteGround customer for many years, with multiple websites across several plans. Until now I'd have recommended them.

I asked support to move one website, including its emails, from my reseller plan to one of my GoGeek plans. Both plans are under the same login. I've had exactly this done free many times, most recently only a few days ago. This time I was told there is now a charge because it counts as a "manual migration".

There was no notice of this change. Nothing on their website mentions it, and their own AI chat still tells you to contact support to have it done. Support confirmed it used to be free but said the policy had recently changed.

The only reason I need support at all is that the dashboard gives me no simple way to move a site between my own plans. To then be charged for that, without warning, feels to me like a way of getting more money out of existing customers rather than a fair charge for a service.

After years of loyalty, I'm disappointed with how this was handled and will be moving all my websites and hosting elsewhere. If you're considering SiteGround, be aware that charges can change without notice.

Fantastic support from SiteGround today. I had a serious WordPress issue where part of the database had become corrupted and an important table was completely missing, causing problems with Elementor and the website.

The support technician quickly identified the real problem, explained why my previous backup restore hadn't fixed it, and then restored the database correctly from their end. The website was immediately back up and running exactly as expected.

Knowledgeable, patient and efficient support when I really needed it. Problems like this can be extremely stressful when you're running a business website, so having someone who actually understands the technical side and gets it fixed properly makes a huge difference.

Excellent support recieved from Martin today. I am super thrilled as I have been indated with my bills and did not know that I can actually downgrade since there is evidence that my business has not been having a large number of visits anyway. Also, he made me aware of the AI features I can use for FREE on Siteground. I am trully happy with his support.

I've been using SiteGround for many years for several of my businesses. It's a premium service (not the cheapest), but worth every penny. A fantastic around-the-clock customer service, mega-fast servers, and a system that just works as intended. If you're looking for a corporate service: go with them. I'm gonna stay with them for a long time.

Support used to be great, but has gone downhill (if you can get past the AI bots).

Biggest issue is how they shut down your site if you go over web server allowance / innode limit. They don't even allow you access to the tools you need to resolve the issue - your account just gets locked.

I created a staging copy which pushed my account over limit (no warning), then can't even access the staging tools to delete the copy.

This host is expensive now, compared to others that offer better service and value.
