I've signed up to this site a few times,

- a few times when you do not have paid subscription (i.e monthly
, quarterly of annually), SM will entice you with messages, which are fake accounts. How can i be sure you say? well, you get sent a message without the person having visited your profile, I did report this a few times to SM, but they temp block/ or just hide that user for about a day, then the following next day, the fake user is on the site again, making the site appear more fraudulent. You can just read all the other low star reviews to see the common problems people are facing.

- what i've noticed is that men have to pay a high amount and for women its free, the justification apparently, as to their website is that it's harder for women than it is for men to find someone. Talk about equality :P

- I would advise for the guys looking for someone to avoid this site, and join a site where both sexes pay a subscription (as to avoid people who waste time) or join a site where it is free for both sexes

Website functionality.

Compared to the old site this one is much more streamlined and fitting for today.

User interface: they have tried to make it mobile friendly and borrowed elements from social media sites but they simply don't work here. There are buttons that duplicate functions or don't do anything.
- The 'heart' button doesn't do anything other than bookmark people. But users will interpret it similar to thumbs up in YouTube or Facebook.
- The notifications just tells you who has checked your profile out. But they will include a number next to heart that tells you how many checked profile.(read below)
- It can't save your preference meaning to manually input them everytime. Frustrating.

I'm sad to say whilst I was free member, I was messaged by 2 fake profiles that quickly got deleted/deactivated. This is common in this industry by all operators.

This site is suitable for over 30s looking for partners in their 30s. However if you are a man shorter than 5'7 in height then avoid all online platforms. Save your money. You have slim to zero chance because these platforms are about numbers not personality or character. For everyone else, you're better off socialising and meeting through your networks. If you have that, get socialising. This should supplement that. 2m users, take it with a pinch of salt as well.

My pet peeves have been the UI mainly. Keep it simple, make it efficient, I do like navigation at the bottom. If you're going to add social media functionality then allow comments. Better than the previous website for mobile devices, but not worth the money they're charging at present. I would say if you're a guy, wait 2 weeks before subscribing, just so the fake profiles can get their messages out the way.

This site is so easy to use and is a great way for us Muslims to find a genuine partner. The customer service was excellent and highly recommend this site to anyone serious about finding a partner for marriage.

After a number a not so nice experiences on other sites, I met a genuine guy who was closest to my search. To those reading this review, this journey is surely challenging so tread carefully.

I got conned into purchasing gold membership from singlemuslim.com. I bought one week membership @ £4.99 - what I thought to be a chargeable trial for one week. I stopped using the app at the end of 1 week as it was not suited. I then subsequently received an email at around 2.00am informing me of an auto renewal subscription at £29.99 per month. I replied asking for a refund, and also spoke to a member of staff requesting a full refund and explained the issues I had experienced during one week trial. The representative insisted that there was a problem with my mobile phone and that he would not refund my money. Things got heated and In anger I said I would give them a bad review if they do not cancel my auto renew. The contact replied with I will terminate your membership (a blessing in disguise) in a very unprofessional manner. I would not recommend this service to anyone even if it was offered for free. I also sent two emails to the customer service team, which were ignored.

It is a good platform to connect with other muslims. However, distance can be an issue or individuals that are not decent with questionable intentions. It is a good method for finding single professional Muslims, and expectations need to be realistic for marriage to happen.

I was confused about navigating on the site and the administrator Aisha was so kind in helping me and explaining to me in depth the answers to my questions. Very professional and swift approach with the replies. Stated will be more than happy to help with anything further. She is a massive credit to her administration team and hope her efforts don’t go unrecognised. Well done 😊

A breath off fresh air helping people like me to try and find my angel

Men have to pay £30 a month while is free for woman. Alot of time wasting woman on this as they dont have to pay while men do. I had the worse experience on this. An absolute con. CHARGE WOMAN SO ITS CHEAPER FOR MEN SO THIS WAY ITS FAIR ON EVERYBODY AND IT FILTERS AWAY TIMEWASTERS ON THIS. other wise it could be a fantastic way for Muslims to meet and marry etc.

I've just left the app because I don't feel quite ready to engage im a relationship, however I would definetely recommend this site for all the Muslim brothers. The search engines are easy to use and people are quite nice and respectful.
