I used Single Muslim to find a marriage partner after my first marriage of 24 years finally became irreparable.
I liked that I didn't have to pay anything, and that I could do a search based upon radius. I have commitments in my own town and so I was hoping to find someone local. Alhamdulillah, I did! After a year of speaking, we decided it was time to put our trust in Allah and tie the knot. I say: Thank you Allah, then thank you Single Muslim!
Really easy to use service. Yes, there are people on there who aren't seriously looking for marriage, and just want a good time. But don't let that put you off. Know that there are genuine people on there too. You just have to sift out the jewel in the rough! Use wisdom and trust your instinct.

Absolutely disgusted by this company. Like many others are complaining on here the company is absolutely deceitful and employ unethical tactics. As a few have already indicated they signed up for the weekly £4.99 subscription which has used misleading advertising. The offer is advertised as a 1 week subscription which can be cancelled after a week at £4.99. What they don't make clear and buried in the fine prints is that the subscription will need to be cancelled with a 4 weeks notice period. Yes that's right they are offering a 1 week package and in the fine prints forcing you to enter at least another 4 weeks without choice. When I contacted them they stated the company has always had a 28 day cancellation policy. So why are they offering a 1 week subscription under the false illusion that the subscription can be cancelled after 1 week??? This is misleading and is not explained instead they bury this important detail in the fine print. I have tried to go back to see the terms of the subscription and cannot even find this now. I know the information was not clear or obvious at the time as I was looking for hidden clauses before committing to the "what I thought" was just 1 week. The company also employ the use of fake profiles as many have stated I have come across this myself. When you ring the company they like to apply Islamic language I.e. asalamualaikum, refer to you as sister/brother to portray a company with Islamic principles but the fact they use deceitful and misleading tactics is completely outside the acceptance of islam. They want to make money like this they need to stop hiding behind a religion. I will be looking into lodging formal complaints against the company.

I found this site useless in the beginning as a woman. But after kept trying and searched for a particular type of guy I got a stroke of luck. I think search for what kind person you want not just the inbox etc. I’m happy with whom I have met and planning to marry him in the near future. There will be a few genuine profiles amongst all the fakes. I have met two nice guys on there genuine. Those without photos are risky. You have to chat for while and meet up otherwise you won’t know what they like. These things take time. Finding right one will take time and effort. It’s not the companies fault if people are abusing the app. They do try to stop fake profiles setting up.

It's worst app. No use. Most of the profile are hidden. They will say you can subscribe for 1 week but will not allow you to cancel subscription until 5 weeks! And the subscription price are are too high.

Spam you with bots!

I would avoid this website and they are very very dishonest.

The scam goes like this:

If you a man you can see if you have been sent a message but not the message itself. They make fake profiles (presumably daily) and get them to message men who will then sign up thinking they have interest only for the message to be generic.

I have joined in June 2020 and the majority of profiles are fake. The people you message are online for multiple hours in a day and yet they never read your message? Strange that. Sometimes they will reply with a short response to keep you enticed.

They have also set up very detailed fake profiles complete with pictures [the 5 star ones] and these profiles request your picture (I assume to create more fakes)

Please report this company to action fraud / trading standards etc.

If you go on companies house you can find where this company is actually registered (not the PO address they give you).

Please also pray against these people behind this! It's hard enough finding someone without this!

I have been on and off the site for over 5 years. In my view many of the profiles-in the last 5 years so perhaps not in the early days when people were keen to arrange or get married - are fake and are now deliberately intended to make people subscribe in order to get your money which in my view is very wrong in order to entice people and to let them down in an otherwise very difficult and important task. The same people have been on there for over 7 years or more, no one seems to be getting married at all on there, and no one is able to check if the company is being truthful with anything. Some of the replies I am certain have been done internally to try to make you think that it's a genuine - as for no reason they disappear and others reasons which make no sense which is usually a good clue, and that in my view is wrong and makes it worse for those who place hopes in these sites and lose their years trying and trusting. In my view that is the same as fraud by taking advantage of people's good intentions and hopes which is also immoral. I feel sorry for so many others who might have suffered with false expectations. No regulator is checking these companies internal systems to see what they are up to, and to suggest they don't care just about profits would be misguided. If a sufficient number of complaints are made to Trading Standards on 0345 404 0506 then they will investigate and check their systems. You can also contact the Muslim Council of Britain on 0845 26 26 786 and express concern they are affected marriages and others things and the more that do, the more they will know it is all true and hold these businesses who use their name in their cause but only for profits. So I suggest people do that because leading people on and wasting their years or hopes and money is far more damaging than these selfish business realise. It's haram service to take and mislead your own community who place belief and trust on you, it's so wrong and should have no place in any culture or society, and we have to riddle it out for all the damage it can truly do. If you don't do anything , nothing will CHANGE or ever improve, be sure of that.

And beware of their £4.99 weekly 'subscription' offer - which when you take it out doesn't make clear in simple terms it is a minimum 4 weeks contract meaning it is not a 1 week 'subscription' at all - it is a 1 week payment method only. Their terms and conditions line to this subscription is hard to find and is not clear that it relates specifically to a 1 week 'subscription' with a minimum 4 week contract. They are deliberately misleading people, and I can see below so many people have fallen for it and are complaining about the same thing. I asked them to just add the words 1 month minimum subscription in brackets were it says 1 week subscription but they have REFUSED to do it which obviously means they want people to be tricked. Actually just this week after 5 weeks, they have now just added in there terms pages '1 months minimum' which I asked them too but they still havent made it clear at the time of payment or soon after or in the terms section there that this ALSO applies to the 1 week subscription and so it is still misleading - and the terms are very hard to find unless you do a separate google search not on their website. Again, they are taking advantage of their own community and people which is shameful. I tried to inform the federation of Mosques and others to be aware of such business who are really wolves in sheep's clothing and do far more danger than good. Out of the millions of customers they have matched barely a handful, where are the true statistics and why is no one concerned about the overall damage they do.

I didn't have the chance yet to meet my life partner but I heard from friend of mine she was using single Muslim and she meet her life partner her and recommend me to use it I think it's good app for whom want to find real partner good luck for all .

I signed up for free, in 3 weeks I had over 15 msgs. I paid for membership to read the msgs None of them replied as none of them read my replies, hence it proved to me they were fake profiles to get me to pay and then read these pointless messages.

The website is easy to use and I love how fantastic the customer service is - you are looked after well, and the response is very quick.

I like that photos can be hidden and available upon request only.

I signed up for a week and after I used the site I wanted to delete my profile and discontinue my membership and I was told I could not. Wow! I was told I would have to pay for an additional 28 days and could not delete my profile. I will file a dispute with my credit card company but stay far away! Tons of fake profiles and not a user friendly site. It is basically a scam!

Single Muslim make up FAKE profiles when you are not subscribed! It has happened to me few times. Where when I have Paid I dont get any messages and soon I cancel boom! there comes a message. You can tell with the profile of the fake account hardly has any information about the person. When you open the message it just says something like "Hi"you reply but dont get any response. Why do you do this to people? Single Muslim website have horrible people.

I joined this site on 7th May2020. I saw the weekly membership offer of £4.99, so joined gold membership on the 8th May to see how good it was. I wasn't really impressed as I'd say over 95% of profile's have no visible pictures. There are also not that many profiles that meet my search criteria. So i decided to cancel the membership on the same day, yes the same day i.e. 8th May. After cancelling i received a notification confirming that my membership would end on 6th June, basically after a month. I hope that i will not be charged anymore than the £4.99 I have already paid. I have written to the administration and customer services emails to confirm this. I await thier reply.
I also agree with some of the other comments about sisters not paying. I think that because the service is free for women, they are less likely to be serious about looking (hence no pictures) and that's not fair to us brothers who are genuinely looking. This is definitely something they should seriously consider. There are also lots of old profile's on the site.

This is a complete scam website deceiving the fee paying men on the possibility is f finding a life partner.

This is the message I sent to single Muslims who are yet to reply to me.

In addition to my first email about the flurry of messages I received everyday for about two weeks and when I open an account all of a sudden no messages and no replies to the 10 + individuals who all dying to speak to me and all of a sudden disappear and do not even acknowledge my replies tells me this is a scam website with bot replies and profiles. A quick search reveals on trust pilot reviews tens of other consumers all men and who are are fee paying off course are in the same boat? As a result this needs to be challenged so that consumers are aware if this is the case of course. I hope for society and your consumers sake this is not, but mi e and others experience tell me otherwise.

I have made a formal complaint with trading standards to investigate. General people cannot be scammed out of the money from an organisation that is suppose to be legitimate and sells it’s self on bridging a gap in the single Muslim marriage market place.

I will update you on when I hear back from trading standards.

I have been a paid member on and off for about 2 years now using 2 different accounts and therefore I can give a better review of this site based on my actual experience.

Alot of the profiles of women are bogus/fake, when I joined 2 years ago the same women were online then compared to now, when you message them they do not reply or when they do the messages are generic which suggests there is a bot sending these out.

Seems like the website gets random photos and creates these profiles to dupe men in to a paid subscription. When you don't have a subscription you will receive messages but when you actually pay and log in there will be messages like "Hi" in your inbox, then after payment you will receive nothing compared to before for as long as you pay.

I have a strong suspicion that the website management are involved in creating bogus conversations just to make the paid member feel as though he is actually speaking to a potential match.

I found it odd that I joined few months ago as a non paying member. I received numerous messages from ladies, I still didn't become a paying member as i was sceptical because I read the reviews here. Then recently I paid for a week and suddenly messages from ladies stopped. I wrote to some messages received before I paid for a subscription: NO reply mainly.

It's odd and it's fake. Sorry to say this.
