Haraam website - AVOID

How can a website which promotes conversation between male and females be considered halal? I pray Allah forgives me for using such a platform which promotes haraam communications.

Something that starts off as haraam will not end well.

Steer clear of this website, full of fake profiles anyway. All singlemuslim.com want is your money. It’s a con.

Register with your local masjid to help find a suitable muslim partner in a halal way.

Very shady company, they use fake profiles to send you messages to sign up, after 1 day after signing up they suspended my account.

The site is okay there are genuine profiles and decent and honest people looking for relationships. However from a users point of view the site is quite bad - poor customer service and the site uses unethical practices to get you to buy the gold membership. Whenever I've not had a membership I've had messages from what appear to be fake profiles - At times I've received messages from the same profile. I once got in touch when I received one of these messages and Hussain from the customer care department was dismissive of the issue and said "I apologise if I have come across as sharp or blunt" after I raised and showed how bad the customer service was.

I’m my experience SM is unethical and has bad customer service.

total sham. mainly fake profiles... the real characters on here not much better. experienced everything from sexually inappropriate comments to very rude behaviour. called out numerous fake profiles. unfortunately when reported, single muslim doesnt seem bothered at all. dont waste your time/money... ps nice to see almost all the positive reviews on here are obviously fake. well done!

They suspend your account in the slightest thing so that you will pay more money and they don't give you a refund. Very bad business practices. The app itself it poorly made and it is obvious the goal is only money

Make no mistake, this site is extremely dishonest, swindler and maintained by criminal people. Admins force the exclusion of negative reviews here to try to improve their bad reputation. In addition, the site itself is full of swindlers, profiteering people, women who suffer from depression and have suicidal tendencies, in addition to sociopaths and inactive profiles and false profiles of women who are nothing more than clickbait to collect revenue from men's suckers subscriptions and who are maintained by extortion gangs and international human trafficking. Zero score.

Female user. My account was suspended because I didn't fill out my name and address properly so they asked for photo ID (which I felt was intrusive but sent in driver's license). I covered up personal details like license number etc and left only photo, first & last name and full address. Received an email requesting proof of my DOB. I told them to delete my account... they think they are GOOGLE(Big Brother style) or the Government and can take such personal information from anyone cos they slip it into their T&C's. It's completely dodgy and wrong of them to feel so entitled to such private information. Screams habits of identity thefts. I've been on other dating apps and never had to send proof like that. I didn't send any messages or interact with anyone. Only had the app for a couple of hours before I was suspended. Seems quite fickle and who knows what they do with all your personal info and photos after they remove you from the app with no notice and you don't have time to remove details and photos etc. Didn't trust them.

I wish I could give it less then 1 star, so here we go I joined this site to find someone for marriage so what happened is I would send a message and would not get a reply, so I let the membership run out.

Then as soon as my membership expired I get messages like a few messages, like a idiot I pay again to read the messages and guess what all those messages and no reply.

So I let the membership expire again and guess what a week later those same girls that messaged the first time start sending messages again so I thought maybe they might have not seen my messages and pay again. Guess what all those girls have disappeared again. So again I let the membership expire then wooohhoooo those girls are alive again. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a mug I have been lol.

Just stay away and leave these jokers alone.

The app has many glitches. Fake profiles. The customer service is also terrible. Will continue billing you so please be careful.

I don't know about the negative reviews here but my beautiful life started at singlemuslim.com. I am very thankful to be one of those online successful stories. Never thought it would actually work! I honestly tried different sites/platforms and only singlemuslim.com worked for me. I dont know about the fees others here mentioned but I didnt pay a single penny using this site. Whoever asks me where did I meet my husband, I'd always proudly mention singlemuslim.com with so much happiness. I am forever grateful I came across this wonderful website!

I have used this website for a long time on and off in different years and the truth has become obvious – all but a few of the profiles are run by their own employees.

The profiles are there for show to get people to pay for the website premium membership and once you message them it’s obvious they have no substance behind them. This includes the detailed profiles with pictures as well as the ones with less info on them. You will get the odd message to try and keep up the deception and others will message you more regularly but the conversations will go nowhere. Whenever you come close to meeting you will find something will go wrong and they are no longer interested and this will happen on 100% of occasions.

Also the pricing is very shady and misleading as you think you signed up to one package and it's longer in the small print. On top of this they have been known to "accidentally" take the money again when someone has cancelled the subscription.

My friend has pictures of herself online due to her job and her pictures was taken and used to create a profile here.

On another occasion they made the error of contacting me from a profile that I spoke to in prior years (and know very well) and pretended they didn’t know me. When I called it out it wasn’t long before the websites policy changed and they now delete older conversations so it can’t be proven.

Furthermore, once I had left the site it seems they re-activated my profile after a while and used my picture without permission! They don’t seem to care about privacy laws or GDPR!

The people running this are extremely good at this because as soon as any suspicion arises they will just delete the profile and you will lose all conversation history so they can’t be tracked.

I can’t believe there are peeps out there who run websites like this under the name of an Islamic site!

I would highly recommend all people avoid this app.

Magical Journey

Alhamdulillah now my marriage is going 2 years this November and InshaaAllah continues.... I never think it was possible to marry someone overseas in such a short time and genuine, not a scam. I've been on the site for a few years hoping to find someone of my choice and I did. Have been on many different sites, but Single Muslim by far is the safest and halal that you can get out there. Alhamdulillah 7 years on, myself and my husband who found each other on Singlemuslim still live happily... now with 2 beautiful children alhamdulillah! It has been a while and I am sure a lot of things have changed on the Singlemuslim website however I can recall that I enjoyed my search to find my husband on SM and all praise to Allah that SM was the means to find my husband as I do not know how else I would go about it!

I also have two friends who found their partners on SM and still married with children :)

I have tried other marriage sites but nothing compares to this site. Single Muslim is fair and honest. Further more allowing women to go on for free gives access to those that are vulnerable and in need of help financially.
