Good organisation, great food and trips.

I enjoyed my Rhine River cruise on The Jasper so much that I have booked another cruise.

This time on The Danube.

It is rare to find such attention to detail at every level on board. The staff were delightful, the food was superb & matched with good wine choices.

The only hiccup was my flight from UK to Amsterdam was delayed - very short transit time allowed. I would suggest Scenic consider this when booking flights. I only caught my Amsterdam to Basle flight because that was delayed as well.

European flights are frequently delayed and this needs to be seriously considered at the booking stage - especially when transiting through a large airport - long queues for passport control can easily add 40 minutes on to the passage through the airport.

I just made my Amsterdam to Basle flight - but my luggage didn’t.

On board this was expertly handled by The Cruise Manager & her team.

The boat was comfortable. Some evenings there were performances by live acts but some passengers (of a particular geographical origin) continued to talk throughout.

Best holiday we have ever had. Everything exceeded our expectations. Couldn't fault anything. Can't wait for our next adventure

A luxurious experience, friendly and professional staff, excellent food, very comfortable cruise ship. We enjoyed the organised trips and appreciated the fact that everything was included so there were no extras.

Everything was exceptional. The staff, the boat, the food the drinks, the excursions and the guides.The cabin was comfortable, our Butler De De was the best. He looked after us so well. Wherever he saw us he made sure we had everything we needed. The reception staff were extremely helpful and good fun. Renata was helpful with everything very informed and great fun as was her husband. The whole team were fabulous and made our holiday extra special and we met some lovely people on board. All in all a great trip and a fantastic experience. Thank you Scenic and staff.

As previously mentioned the staff and food were amazing but if anything goes wrong the back room customer service team are uninterested. We had a low water problem, it happens but the replacement excursion offered compared to the one we’re booked was abysmal. Contacted customer service who hid behind their terms and conditions. Might as well have said, we’ve got your money, don’t care, go away. So I will. Never again I’m afraid

Flight cancellation/delay meant arrival into Budapest airport was not until 1am - 11 hours late! Scenic Rep who spoke no English drove us to a hotel and tried to drive off. After insisting he come into the hotel, we eventually sorted out that he should take us to the riverboat. We arrived at 2.30 am, exhausted as we had been on the go for nearly 24 hours with nobody able to help us from the roadside, down stairs and over gangplanks. Next day we went on our first excursion, however they did not have an earpiece for the right ear and as one of our party has a hearing aid for the left ear, he could not hear the guide. Scenic's answer to this - walk closer to the guide! There were only 2 public toilets on board the ship which was full and not enough seating in the lounges. The set up in the dining room meant that the people staying in the Diamond Deck who were invited to an "exclusive private dining experience" were actually sat at a table right next to us in the dining room. This was at the detriment of our table in terms of service. Scenic offered us £150 in compensation, but advised that if we told other clients about this, it could be withdrawn. They have now told me to complain to ABTA. We are fortunate enough to have sailed on over 80 cruises, but Scenic - never again!

Firstly the 5 star items - excellent crew, superb cruise director and Maitre de, good food and wine and very enjoyable excursions. Now the 3 star bit - this was billed as a cruise but we spent 7 nights out of 11 in Bordeaux. "Nature - lack of water - was the excuse but it is tidal with forecast heights and flows! The balcony was largly unuseable. Scenic, to be fair, have offered some compensation but I doubt if we will risk another river "cruise"!

Love Scenic. You arrive, you unpack once, you visit many lovely places. The people that look after you are excellent, the whole environment is great.

Everything regarding the boat :- the food, care by the crew, cleanlness, also the included trips were first class.
The only critcism was with the flights there and back. Travelling from Gatwick and the flight times were far from ideal. Bristol would have been far easier. Also we were baited with business class flights in with the package. This was true on the outward journey but not the return. The return was Easyjet !!!
Seriously having doubts for a Scenic trip for the future.

This was our second trip with Scenic. the first time was Black sea to Budapest. This trip was the next stage from Budapest to Regensburg. The boat was very comfortable. May be the best on the river. Staff excellent and food very good considering how limited the space is to work in. Excursions are also good with a very memorable concert at the Arsenal in Vienna. But the boat felt too crowded and there was too much pressure on shared spaces. Also we could not complete the last leg because river was too low. The contingency planning for this was inadequate for something that must happen quite often if we were affected in June. Also though no fault of Scenic this stretch of the Danube felt very crowded and some visitor sites on the way were overwhelmed with river cruisers.

Just returned from 11 day Rhone river cruise. First the positives - superb crew with amazing attention to detail.
Second the negatives - the frequent double docking where your balcony cabin view is looking into another ships cabins is not what you expect for a 'luxury' cruise.
The 'penny pinching' when bath robes are removed from cabins on Day 10 is silly and annoying.
Day 11 was a bit of a joke. Had to vacate cabins latest 08.30hrs, but breakfast only served until 08.30hrs was especially thoughtless.
Would we book again? Not sure, as the negative aspects tended to spoilt what could have been excellent cruise. Value for money - not in my opinion.

Great in every department. Will do it again. Amazingly good organised.

All inclusive holiday very good. No hidden costs.
The variety of tours was excellent and the quality too of a high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Scenic.

We found the cruise disappointing. The staff were all lovely, polite and helpful, the room was kept clean and tidy and it was well organized. The food was good. The guides were all excellent. However pictures in the brochure were misleading. We only "cruised" for one afternoon where we could see the scenery we mostly travelled at night. Our cabin was also above the engine room and the bed actually shook at night. We thought we were booking an up market luxury cruise but it honestly felt more like a holiday camp. The photo in the brochure shows a couple at a table with space all around being served by a waiter. We were all crammed into the dining area with so little space you could hardly walk between the tables.

Whole experience was great. Boat, staff, food, excursions. We felt looked after and enjoyed everything.

There is almost nothing that we didn't like about our recent river cruise "Gems of the Danube" That said, before we joined our ship we had a ridiculously long wait for transport to the boat from Munich Airport. This needs to be addressed as we were only one of three couples impacted by this uncharacteristic lack of customer care pre cruise
