This company is really not for small business. They claim to be for small business but raise the price 29% on small business makes no sense.

DON'T FALL FOR IT! As an individual that has SANA "insurance" through my employer (2 years in), it is the absolute WORST and hardest to navigate. I should not have to invite my provider to accept the "insurance". I should not have to contact Sana every week trying to make sure that my procedure is going to be covered. I should not have to worry and have added stress by having to make sure that Sana team members are doing their job. I should not have to worry about receiving a huge bill after going to the doctor or imaging not be covered because I didn't use the SANA preferred third party. You need to tell people this! You are not transparent when selling your "insurance". By the way, these aren't standard PPO Insurance plans, it's MANAGED CARE!

Finally, an insurance company that is real about HEALTH CARE.

CONS: SmithRx is Sana's prescription benefits manager. Be prepared to put a lot of work(phone calls, emails, etc) to get precriptions approved. Also, as a Type 1 diabetic for 30 yrs I find SmithRx to be a company who is only about the financial bottom line. They have denied every presciption my Endocrinologist of 30 yrs has turned in. They have denied every Rx only approving the cheapest, generic form of the drug. I have difficulties trying to find out what drugs are approved on their formulary list. I am 52 yrs old and have dealt with many ins. companies through my years but this is the first company that has truly made me feel my health is of no importance to them - it is about the bottom dollar amount only!
PROS: For the medical side of Sana, I have not used it alot but so far have had no complications.

Customer service was really good. The waiting was not long. Great service!

Dropped everyone at my company because we were “using them too much”. Why cover stuff you don’t want to pay for? Then give an entire company one months notice that you’re leaving them high and dry?

I was greatful that I could talk to a nurse online while I was at work. I was able to get the medications I needed to help me. Then the next day the nurse reached out to me to see how I was doing and I was still not feeling good and she was asking me what was going on and was able to call another Rx in. I'm feeling much much better now and I didn't have to miss work to go to a Drs. Office.

Truly an incredible company! Simple problems are handled in seconds. Concerns are given solutions. I had an employee say that Sana is best insurance company he has worked with and I wholeheartedly agree.

A few of the providers listed that I contacted stated that they don't accept. Confused as to how it all works

Rep replies were prompt, answered thoroughly all of my questions and included additional pertinent information that she felt I would benefit from knowing. Emily was professional and courteous.

This company offers terrible service. Everything has to be paid OOP until your high deductible is met, they have no pre-negotiated rates with anyone, and in my experience the providers didn't know who they were and either don't take the insurance, or they take forever until they figure it out. Having them made my health expenses skyrocket, made me waste lots of time with providers, and even made me and my family have to skip medical care due to the upfront cost, mind you, all this while still paying premiums. To add insult to injury, now it's the next year and they can't even provide me with tax documents on a timely manner.

Just awful all around, avoid like the plague or learn by suffering through it like I did.

Haven't been able to use the benefits because the website is not user friendly and I unable to find the doctors I need.

I really enjoyed the personal attention and concerns my rep showed. I felt like I was talking to a “real” person versus just someone “doing their job”.

Visited orthopedic doctor in Frisco, Texas. So far so good.
