Took a risk and happy I did!
I just received my Elite Oscar Mens shoes in the post today which I purchased directly from rummos-shop.com. I live in Toronto Canada and even though I have been dancing for many years, I was very nervous as this was the first time I have ordered dance shoes online without trying them on. Previous reviews here mention the lack of customer service from Rummos. I have to say that when I was searching for this style of shoe, I emailed 3 different premium companies (Madame Pivot, Alvares and Rummos) and ONLY Rummos replied. I received their reply the next morning. To date, I have not received any replies from the other companies - even after following up twice.
I had several questions about sizes and fit before I made my purchase and the team (or individual) at Rummos was very quick to reply. The methods of measuring my feet to ensure fit was also more comprehensive than other sites that simply expect you to know your size. This also factored into my decision to go with rummos. I also like that these are handmade in Portugal. If you don't know why that's a benefit, I recommend you do a quick search online about it. Portugal is well established for top quality shoe manufacturing and brands like Hugo Boss make their products in Portugal.
It is true that the lack of Terms of Use and Privacy Policy can indicate a small operation, but I know many brands in the dance world that are small operations and often produce top quality products so this did not worry me. Dance companies are usually passionate dancers and not large corporations.
After I made the purchase, there was little communication. one week after I placed the order I asked for an ETA on shipping and did not receive a reply. Another week later I sent a 2nd email saying I was getting worried and asked again for an ETA. Next day I received a notification of shipping with a priority tracking number. Shipping to Toronto took 10 days but they arrived in great condition. The size is correct and the width is very snug - but as these are real leather, and brand new, I'm sure they will break in nicely. These are extremely well-built shoes. Definitely, the best quality I have owned. And they smell like they were just custom made when I ordered them. So that may explain the longer lead-time. If that's the case, they should definitely promote that better!
It would have been nice to receive some response after I purchased the shoes - but overall I am very happy with my Rummos experience and will not hesitate to order from them again. I highly recommend them.
no communication is possible
It is impossible to communicate with this shop. The shoes arrived after 5 weeks. I send several mails to get information about de delivery but never was there any answer.
Don't order here. I will try to send them back and get a refund........(130 euro) There are no instructions on returns so... I'll try to mail them again :(
Extremely bad service. It's a shame because their shoes are really good. My advice is to buy the shoes in a normal shop.

Don't buy from them! Very bad experience.
I purchased 2 pairs of shoes and received 2 emails; 1 for the new customer account and 1 for the order. Since then, a month has passed and:
1. I didn't receive shoes
2. The account says "processing", but nothing changed in a month
3. They didn't respond to 5 emails and 1 contact form request.
My creditcard company (for now) refunded the payed amount, but now Rummos-shop gets an additional 10 weeks to solve the problem. So I still don't know whether the shoes won't come and I can keep my money, or whether they will send them now and the creditcard company takes the money back.
Edit:
after a dispute through creditcard company they suddenly shipped the shoes a week later, they arrived very quickly (2 days from Portugal to Netherlands). Only an "order sent" email, nothing about the silent treatment. Mine are slightly too big but sending them back seems like a huge risk since they don't respond to email. Don't expect to see that money back. So I kept them. They do dance quite nice, but I'm definitely never buying from them again!

I want to also support the second review from Katya. I am going through an almost identical situation with no item, no communication, attempted dispute through paypal (as yet unresolved) and email detailing credit and website notice of Refund. No refund. Now website has disappeared. Do not be tempted to buy direct from shop and instead visit Dancia in Drury lane, london. Very very disappointed and sad. Was so looking forward to first and only expensive comfy dance shoes for it all to have become so confusing and horrible.
Amazing service and fast delivery
It was first time I bought a pair of shoes online, I was a little afraid but this experience make me gain confidence. After few minutes I received an email informing that my shoes will be shippied in 48h and I received the package and the dance shoes in excellent conditions. I strongly suggest rummos-shop to buy dance shoes.
Poor communication and service, suspicious website
I ordered dance shoes from the website on September 25th. After over 2 weeks of not receiving a status update on my purchase, I sent an email to the company asking why there is no update and when the item will finally be shipped. After 0 response I opened a Paypal dispute and immediately after that they marked my purchase as "refunded" on my Rummos account. It was clear to me that the company was not going to send me my shoes.
After a long Paypal dispute process (which eventually became a Paypal claim), during which the seller gave me no information regarding my order (or why they marked the item as "refunded" and then surprisingly sent the product) I finally received the shoes I ordered. They didn't fit, but after seeing how incredibly difficult it is to be in any contact with this company, I decided to sell them instead of returning them. I suggest buying Rummos shoes from a more credible company, as the website only seems professional at a first glance, after studying it further it became clear that it is far from it. For example, I would wait until they publish a Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions (and generally become much more prone to good customer service).
In conclusion:
Beware of this company. The website seems suspicious due to Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions missing. I would definitely not give them my credit card information, nor would I purchase from them again. The overall experience was horrible even though I finally got my product (after over a month of waiting). A company selling any goods should always listen to, and respond to, customer complaints and concerns instead of blatantly ignoring them.
