I ordered an engine and gave them the VIN number from the vehicle. They sent me the wrong engine and will not send me the right one. This place is shady.

If i can leave a review with no stars i would.i purchased an engine with 65k miles on it. not only did they deliver to the wrong location that took about a month to get back; but they also sent a defective engine. i spent an additional $2,000 to get this engine properly installed and ever since then the engine has been giving me several issues.We went to several mechanics and honda dealerships and they all stated there was an internal issue with the engine. I tried contacting the sales and warranty department about this and they were extremely unpleasant by not only hanging up on me several times but also not providing any type of quality customer service. I am very tempted to filing a lawsuit with this company because at this point this is fraud and embezzlement.

Horrible experience and it is not done yet. I purchased an engine and paid $$$$ on 4/17. Shipping time is reasonable within their 7-14 business days. As I follow-up each week, I am told it is going through “Quality Control” - great! I fee it is an important process for sellers to back their merchandise. Upon arrival at the shop, my mechanic drained the oil pan only to discover a “coffee with cream” color oil coming out of the drain plug on Friday, 5/17. Hmmmm. Quality Control? Now, I’m in the process of trying to get my money back, however, I am not getting any responses back from Chad Whyte, besides being told to “be patient”. Been patient since I bought a horrible conditioned engine. Apparently, he’s the only one who can assist with my issue, from their customer service team... It’s now 5/21 and am still waiting for any correspondence as to what the next steps would be.... Horrible.

Purchase a motor that supposed to have 87k on it, ran the vin once i got the motor and found it has 215k on it. THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE MY MECHANIC FEE for already taking my old engine out and putting the new one in. THESE GUY ARE SCAMMERS, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Total scammers...ordered x5 bmw diesel motor with allegedly 47 K on it on guess what it has closer to 147k on it. I'm not tolerating being taken for a ride.

Asked 5 times for a vin that the motor was removed from......got nothing!

They deserve everything that is going to hit them.Paperwork from our attorney is on the way. They need to be exposed

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM QUALITY USED ENGINES.
We had to contact them repeatedly to get the engine initially. Including a threatening email before they shipped it to our mechanic more than a month later. They took out our $1,520 the day we ordered it though.
Our mechanic is a master mechanic who works in a reputable shop. After he finished installing the engine, he drove it about 30 minutes and it started to make really loud noises.
Our mechanic has already put in about $2,000 in labor. He called the company, we called the company repeatedly. They never returned our calls or the threatening email I sent about contacting our credit card company.
I called our credit card company. They are going to investigate and dispute the charge. We do have to return the motor for the credit card company to dispute it. Idk how much that will cost to ship.
We’re going to look for a rebuilt engine from a reputable company. Our mechanic suggested we check BBB before ordering another engine.
We’ve since found several with A+ ratings where we could have bought a rebuilt engine for about $700 more.
I checked BBB. Quality Used Engines has an F rating.
I hope everyone who wrote a review will post on QUE’s twitter feeds about their experience. They have 4 twitter feeds. Just look for Quality Used Engines.
I had to put my review on Facebook as a comment under their previous posts. I copied and pasted to several comments so more people can see it before being ripped off.
Anyway, good luck to everyone. I hope these reviews will help some other poor soul.
Our mechanic is a great guy. He said he won’t charge us for the labor on the bad motor. Just for the labor on a rebuilt one. We are really fortunate. Other people would have had to pay $2,000 in labor twice. And he works in a good shop. This has been such a hassle. I haven’t been able to drive my car since January.

This is a total scammer company. I wish I saw these 1 star reviews before I bought an engine. They have now sent me 2 bad engines and their warranty for labor only at $50/hr isn’t enough to pay for replacing it. I’ve spent more than my car is worth how and still have a bad engine. How can these people sleep at night?!

I wouldn't have even given this place a one star rate if there was a way to write a review without it. They deserve 0 Stars and should seriously be shut down for good. Under their false and misleading info on their site and after speaking with a rep. I purchased an engine from que. Huge mistake. Upon receiving my E receipt I discovered all sorts of unexplained statements about the warranty, shipping, guarantee, handling process and hidden charges. I immediately cancelled my order and now they are refusing to refund my money even though the engine was never shipped out. $1245.00 right down the drain and no employee will speak with me about this matter. So I've notified my bank and my next step is getting an attorney. Stay far away from this crappy crappy company. if there's anyone else that's posted a review on this place and would like to join me in starting a class action lawsuits and investigation into this business please feel free to contact me via this site. I need as many people as possible to sing the petition ASAP so that we can get it in the hands of a consumer attorney. I'm currently working on filing a report with the BBB and national board of consumer protection agency. I will be checking reviews repeatedly on a daily basis. Scammers, bouts engine for 2,300 with 66,000 miles, paid for installation, mechanic was able to start engine but bad rattle on top end, when removed noticed it was a rebuilt jasper engine. Recieved 2nd engine #1 cylinder not firing, very low compression. Recieved 3rd engine, installed driven 3,ooo miles and something loose in engine. Called and was told I had used my warranty on first engine. I have paid for 3 installs plus 2,300 and recieved 2,200 from quality engines saying they were refunding my money and have no warranty. None of these engines were checked before shipping to me. Rather deal with local scarp yard at least they will call back. Worst engine experience I've had in 75 years! A 1 star is too high.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING from Quality Used Engines.
Quality doesn't even come close to describing the junk they shipped me. I received the engine with a visibly broken intake manifold. Mechanic removed the manifold to find metal chunks in 3 cylinders. After 3 weeks of back and forth with them, they finally sent a "replacement" engine. The 2nd one showed up looking like a completely rusted chunk of bare identifiable piece of metal. I finally got them to pick up the engine 4 weeks ago and am still waiting for my refund. Customer service is Rep yelled at me for asking where my refund is!!!

Let me start with I purchased the engine in January to start the timeline. They wanted a review before I even had the motor. I finally got the motor and they sent me a core. It was full of sludge, metal shavings and the number 5 cylinder wouldn’t fire. Found all this out after paying $1700 for removal and installation. Warranty department(Scott) did absolutely nothing, so I left a bad review. Bryan called me and got me a good motor. Another $1700 fee for removal and installation I finally have my truck back. This is end of March now. Sent Scott emails since 3/25 asking about refund of labor. Nothing, no response. As of today 4/11 I have decided to give until Friday and then proceed with legal action. Outside of Bryan I could not recommend this company to anyone. Do not want to honor their policy. I could have easily put the motor in myself but followed the rules now I’m out $3400. All I asked was for them to pay the removal and installation on the first motor. I understand me paying for one. No problem with that but don’t expect me to pay for both when you sent me a piece of garbage the first time. They even admitted that the first engine never should have been sent to a customer. So just a heads up be wary with this company

SCAM!!! Bait and switch!!! Beware!
I purchased an engine with 65K miles on it. It took about 1 month to receive it . The truck driver demanded $50 cash to get it off the truck! What we got was a worn out engine with a worn out aftermarket timing belt, rusted, painted over rust, water came out of the oil pan, after an oil flush, metal shavings came out. Many ODB II codes from the metal shavings on sensors. NO RESPONSE FROM QUE!!!! NO WARRANTY!!! HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!

This company has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The one star is a true reflection of their attitudes. The sales guy was nice, they have nice emails and phone system was easy, but after I got my money it WENT TO HELL. I took a leap during this COVID place to spend money to fix a car that isn't a priority, but I figured I would buy an engine and keep the economy going. As soon as I asked for the VIN to confirm maintenance history with my master mechanic in the national database...THEY STOPPED SUPPORTING ME. They wouldn't give me the VIN number of the engine I PAID FOR...they took my money, removed from my account....AND STILL WOULDN'T GIVE ME THE VIN NUMBER.

This means either they are using stolen parts, the person was just being a jerk, they are hiding something OR they have a bad process....EITHER WAY BUYER BE WARNED!!!

After a week of three emails and three phone calls, they don't do their jobs at all. Specifically their customer server manager/main person (I'll keep his name out of it) who answers the phone in that department is an impatient, anti-customer, rude, temper-mental and arrogant person.

THEY need to consider having a frank conversation with him, don't let him be on the phone or fire him. They took my $1,100 and I'm already getting legal on this....what ever it needs to be. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

I am currently in a dispute with my credit card carrier over a refund from these crooks. They are truly a dishonest company . They should be avoided or you will be abused by their policies and practices. Just unbelievable that they are allowed to be in business.

They sent me the wrong engine and stole my money ! they sent a truck and got there engine back and refuse to refund any money back to me , They Stole $2400 from me !!!!!!

Please do not order from this company, they had to send me two engines and they state all parts and labor. On over $3000.00 worth of work they offered a refund of $600.00. Anyone knows you can’t not replace an engine for that price. Their customer service is terrible and they do not honor what they state when ordering please stay away from this company. Currently filing a law suit

Worst mistake I've done was deal with this company, been told a date itll arrive multplie ti.es of being nice and don't see anything for confirmation, after 3rd time calling in and being mad I get a email the next saying it's been shipped. After finally getting engine week and half late. I get installed and want to register for warranty. Have issues so i call in for 3 weeks, leave voicemails etc no call back finally get a hold of someone a month later and oh you do qualify for warranty except 6 month parts... cool wish I didn't have to give one star

I'm convinced this company is a Scam! They did not send me my engine for 2 months so I had to get another and I called and cancelled. They kept 25% as a "restock fee". Even though they never shipped it or took it out of stock. Never returned my emails or phone calls. I think they make more profit this way than on shipping engines.And if you read their fine print for warranty it is rediculous with so many restrictions installation must be complete within 10 days of delivery, and 100 other things that void it every time and another customer said hers was voided bcause she didn't click on a link.

Terrible customer service shipping time lost engine 1000 miles away cost thousands in ship time waiting on the engine

I bought a engine clearly listed as a 2016 Ford Explorer with 18,000 miles. My mechanic advised me the motor was tagged 2013 Ford Taurus...paid 1995.00 but got a motor 3 years older with absolutely no guarantee of mileage. It did look clean but seems like false advertising to me. Have only had it for 3 days...hopefully I don’t become a horror story..
