The game is awesome
The game is awesome my family absolutely love it. It’s a fantastic addition to our family nights and even fills the gap for a quick game here and there is lots of choice in terms of interests errors, hobbies, and general knowledge. But most of all it brings us all together and hold us in that space for a while.

Difficult set up
Unless you have a 64bit phone or a chromecast its difficult to set up. Cant play in tv without chromecast. My phone ok my partners phone 32bit so we cant play together. Tried downloading on laptop which it wont. We've spent all afternoon trying to set up to play together. And still no joy. Make sure you hsve the most up to date devices to play. Or be willing to spend more money to mirror to tv via chromecast. Very disappointing experience so far. Ok so we received a reply from the team telling us google stopped making 32 bit phones but then I have a 32 bit phone which the game wont load onto and no it is virtually impossible to cast to tv without a cromecast so we stick by what we have said its a shame really because we managed to play on one phone and the game is good just way to difficult to install

Just to clarify a few points, as there are some inaccuracies here for those reading.
32-bit phones have been deprecated by the platforms themselves. Apple retired 32-bit app support back in 2019, and Google has been phasing it out for several years. That limitation is set by Apple and Google, not by Outsmarted or any other modern app. We cannot put apps on the app stores unless it meets their rules.
You also do not need Chromecast to play on a TV. Screen mirroring is not something Outsmarted does for you - it’s simply your device displaying its screen on a TV. If you have a Smart TV, you can usually mirror directly using the TV’s built-in casting. If you don’t have a smart TV, other common options include a Fire Stick, Apple TV, or a basic HDMI cable, which costs only a few pounds. Chromecast is just one of many ways to do this, not a requirement and mirroring isn’t part of Outsmarted – it’s a function between the device and the TV.
Outsmarted runs on the vast majority of Android devices from the last 6 years and Apple devices from the last 9 years, so you certainly do not need “the most up-to-date devices” to play. You need to be able to run Android 10 and iOS 16 – and have 4GB of RAM.
We’re sorry your setup caused frustration, but this isn’t a case of the game requiring expensive or specialist equipment - it’s simply about using a currently supported device and any standard method of connecting that device to a TV.

Love this game and so do the kids it is ideal being able to use the virtual board meaning the kids can be in their own space but still play the game, the fact you can also choose the categories make each game unique.

I ordered the Outsmarted Ultimate Board Game
I ordered the Outsmarted Ultimate Board Game as a Christmas gift. I was delighted by the 50% off Black Friday offer and also delighted at how quickly it was shipped out to me. Unfortunately I noticed a damaged figure via the see through panel on my unopened box. Customer service got back to me the same day and sent out the replacement figure in the post. Very impressed with their customer service also.

Thanks for your review - we’re glad you’ve enjoyed the game previously, the new update has some fantastic new features so we’d love to help you get it working as it should.
To double-check, Outsmarted requires:
• iOS 16+
• Android 10+ (64-bit)
• Windows 11
It isn’t compatible with MacOS ,ChromeOS or Fire tablets, so playing on an incompatible device would cause the behaviour described, and it also requires a device with 4GB of RAM available so if you are playing on an older tablet with 2GB or 3GB of RAM it wouldn’t be able to run the app smoothly as it won’t have sufficient resources to do so.
If your current device doesn’t meet these requirements, the solution is simply to play on a compatible device - the game will run normally there. If your device does meet the requirements, then please contact our 7-day support team through the help button inside the app or via our website. We can diagnose the exact cause and get it fixed for you quickly.
We’re here to help - Outsmarted should always run smoothly when the device meets the supported specs.

The latest version is too reliant on computer generated guff inbetween the goes with multiple things to swipe. It all takes too long and I lost interest. Go back to the previous iteration and stop trying to 'improve' things with crap technology. The connectivity was suspect with the game logging out on multiple occasions.

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Just to clear up a bit of confusion - the latest version actually reduces swiping and extra steps. When it’s your turn, you roll the dice and, with the new automatic lock-in system, you go straight to your question with a single tap. We also made life easier for players by adding automatic category selection option and the option to start new games with their previous settings. Overall, the gameplay flow is now quicker than in the older version.
On connectivity: Outsmarted is a live online game, so if a device logs out or drops connection, it’s usually down to the device or network. Our support team can normally diagnose and fix that very quickly - we’re available 7 days a week. If you ever want help, we’re always happy to take a look, and you’ll see from other reviews that a quick chat with the team usually sorts things

The game itself is great so it gets 5 stars for that already, but no doubt it will get even better in the future.
I had problems when sharing the game code with remote players so I contacted customer support. They responded very speedily and were patient and tenacious when helping me resolve the issue.
I am now able to connect remote players from my phone, but my Samsung tablet isn't being as cooperative. I'll keep working for a solution but I'm happy to recommend Outsmarted and the helpful customer service.

My outsmarted was delivered the next day as stated . I had reason to contact the support team. They replied very quickly ( within minutes) to my email. It was a very friendly exchange by the team. Great interactive game
We love Outsmarted, what a great game, idea and concept. We've had it less than a week and we've played it four times already. It is so easy to set-up and to follow the instructions. You are given a long code on a plastic credit card sized item that once you download the game to your devices you need to provide this code, which is then your own unique game and set-up. I like the way you can set levels to kids, teens and adults as well as add extra time. I like the fact once a question is answered it gives you slight facts about it and the percentage of persons whom answered it right. You can play a normal game or a game for points so whomever has the highest points and all six rings goes onto the final round to answer a load of questions within a particular time.
You can add persons to the game to include a picture of them, and that is where you chose there age group and if you want extra time - this then remains locked in the game until you edit them. However, every time you play you have to choose your 3D characters. I like the fact you can cast it from your ipad to your television and play off your tv and even have it on your mobile phones. It's also very impressive that others can play who are not in the room or house with you as you can share a code for them to login from another location so you could in fact play with your family around different parts of the UK or even around the world depending on the time zones. You can have a digital game online with others or use the game board as usual (you know be retro old school lol). The game allows you to play between 2 and 24 players with a maximum group of 6 groups containing 4 players in each group, hence the 24 players. I also like the fact you can purchase other packs of questions such as Harry Potter or 2025 or Film songs or song lyrics.
In future upgrades I'd like to see you being able to keep that 3D character in your original set-up with the options of editing it if you so wish. I have contacted the company directly to ask if and where you can buy any extra 3D characters as the box only comes with 6 characters but there are more as we don't have Merlin or whoever he's meant to be - they've advised me that is coming in early 2026 and they will notify customers of this.

Forget bad weather, terrible TV, get Outsmarted
Following on from comments made by others, I must wholeheartedly agree—Outsmarted is a truly fabulous game.
It expertly balances traditional quiz fun with modern features. The questions are exceptionally well-written, often wonderfully quirky, and we particularly love the learning experience—getting a clear explanation for the answer, whether you were right or wrong, is brilliant.
The most revolutionary feature, however, is the remote play facility. We use other great apps, like Karafun, that allow everyone to 'hook in' on their phones in the same room, but Outsmarted goes a step further. It excels at being a fun, in-person game while simultaneously allowing friends and family to play together seamlessly, whether they are in the same room or spread out all over the country.
With the Unlimited Pack subscription, finding categories that genuinely appeal to everyone is an absolute breeze. This game has become a staple for us. If we could give it six stars out of five, we absolutely would.
