Scam

I wanted to check my possibilities and checked my flight delay. I did not sign any documentation as on the emails they sent there is no signature, but then they started to harass me saying that I owe £180 as I know it is a scam therefore I did not respond to them and refused to pay and now I have a court order to pay £280.
Bear in mind it is law firm hence there is very little you can do. It is a false advertisement as they did nothing and charged me with a work of what? Be careful if you fill in the enquiry form make sure to cancel it within 14 days if you don’t want to find yourself in depth with a company who lives from scamming innocent people. AVOID IT!!!

We would not begin work for a client unless our Terms & Conditions (T&C) had been signed by them; please note, this is done electronically via our website upon the client entering their flight/personal details. The client is not able to submit their claim to us without first accepting the T&C, which are fully displayed for the client to read, understand and agree to before accepting them.

MFD offer a cancellation period of 14-days and any claims cancelled within this time-frame are done so free of charge; cancellations outside of these 14-days may incur our cancellation fee. Please be advised, the cancellation process and fee is fully explained within the T&C.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

I have just received a phone call from this company claiming I owe them £180!!! For apparently putting in a claim in July last year, that’s almost over 7 months ago! I’ve looked at the reviews online and can see a lot of other people have had this problem too! They say the fee is for work they have put in but I don’t see any work at all, they said it’s for the emails, letters and phone calls none of which I have received until today! Absolutely disgusting, complete scam!!!
Was wondering what everyone else has done about this?? And what I could do??
But please avoid this company!!

All fees which may become payable to MFD are fully explained within our Terms & Conditions; without looking into your account, I take the £180 fee to be that of our cancellation fee. Please be advised this becomes payable if the client cancels their claim with us outside of the 14-day cooling off period.

I can confirm that clients are presented with our T&C when they input their claim details on our website to read, understand and agree to before signing to accept them.

Feel scammed

Months ago i just wanted to 'freely check' how much compensation I would get from a delayed flight. I never signed the letter of authority and gave any other information other than my personal ones and now they clame me 180 pounds, harassing me with emails.
I already had my compensation from the airline days after the problem so i never did need them i just wanted some information! I feel scammed and i don't have the money to pay for a service that i didn't receive!

These T&C are presented to the client to read, understand and agree to before signing them and submitting their claim to us.

I am having significant problems with…

Update from the below response.(16th Jan)
They havent filed court papers after 6 months despite telling me they had.
They have now emailed me offering £50 compensation. Which is obviously pathetic.

(15th Jan)I am having significant problems with this company(myflightdelayed).
I lodged a claim in June and they told me that the airline had not responded to them so that they were applying to the court.
Each month since July I asked for an update and they said that I needed to wait as there was no time limit for the court to respond. Which seemed strange, but I accepted this.
I have been very courteous when engaging them. Unfortunately they started to make me feel uncomfortable by the tone of their responses. In December I wrote a robust, yet courteous email asking why we had not had any response from the court? Remarkably they had not even submitted it(I could tell they hadn't, as I had asked for copies for the documents).
Their offer has been to reduce the % or cancel the claim for free.
Remarkable, and consistently incompetent service, and I am still waiting to find out to whom I can complain to (ombudsman or such like).
A small offer of compensation would be entirely reasonable and commercially very suitable for both sides.

Very sly company

Very sly company, they don’t explain, go straight to the airline company. They charge 30% plus VAT of the claim. It’s not made clear. The airline paid me direct then they hounded me for their legal fees. I have no idea what they actually do. It’s pretty much a scam .

AVOID THIS SCAM

Wish I had seen this site sooner- agree with those that this is a TOTAL SCAM. I made an INQUIRY which they say costs £90 and are threatening legal action. I cannot say this strongly enough- AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. It is not hard to settle the claim yourself through the airline, which is what I did.

We would not begin work on a claim if the T&C had not been accepted. The T&C contains full details of all fees which may become payable, including that of the cancellation fee.

Clients have a 14-day cooling off period within which to cancel free of charge; each new client is emailed a copy of our cancellation form and this is also available to download from our website.

Good service and good result

I made a claim to Norwegian Air for a flight that was delayed by over 5 hours and they rejected it.

I contacted myflightdelayed to pursue the claim and they did exactly that. The process can take quite a while (4 months in my case) but this was to be expected. Myflightdelayed kept me update throughout and I was happy to have received the compensation that I might not have otherwise had.

I would definitely use myflightdelayed again.

This company are sly !

This company are sly !! They did not have the correct identification to process my claim, yet they Re saying they successfully claimed the money for me and now I owe them money? They have sent it to the small claims court. I have confirmation that they did not have all of the passengers identification so how could they claim on their behalf?

I would leave a zero if I could but you…

I would leave a zero if I could but you have to put something to leave a review. I emailed making an enquiry and never signed any documentation or gave any authority for this firm to do work for me. I ended up settling the case with Jet2 myself. So let's be clear - I made an enquiry to myflightdelay.com......

Somehow without authority to do anything are claiming I owe them £267 and have managed to get a court order on me to pay money for something they have not done or worse I never asked them to do??? How is this even possible?????
BEWARE!!!! BE VERY AWARE!!!!!!! WORST FIRM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Without looking into your account I am unable to view your specific case details, however, I take it to be the cancellation fee you are referring to. This fee is fully explained in our Terms & Conditions (T&C) and is payable if the client cancels outside of the 14-day cooling off period. Should a client cancel during the cancellation period then this fee will not be payable. I can also confirm that all new clients are issued the Cancellation Form via email for if they should change their mind about claiming with ourselves.
