West coast to east coast move (CA to NC), and MovingPlace made the whole process easy. It was so easy, we worried there was a catch. The price was by far the best of the 6 quotes we got. The container showed up on time for us to pack and arrived early to unpack (surprising us). From our very unprofessional packing, only one glass broke. Their people followed up every step of the way, too, excellent communication.

Had to compromise and meet them at a terminal service as "their trucks wouldn't fit at either location", but otherwise I had no trouble at all during my transport and they were very helpful and friendly at both the drop off and pickup locations, and the pricing was the best I could find out of all the services I reviewed while still using a trustworthy provider. Outside of my own most "negative" reviews involve timing which I had no issue with and nearly every item was still in perfect condition when they arrived with very minor damages to those that weren't.

My experience with your Company went very well. There were a few hiccups on my part, but overall, good experience. Would definitely recommend your Company to my family and friends. Thanks, Doreen Holmes

This is a less expensive and more efficient moving alternative, since you pack belongings and furniture into the front end of a tractor/trailer truck and put up a wall they provide to separate your compartment at the front from the rest of the trailer, which then gets used for other miscellaneous freight going to a terminal. Since it has just has one household per truck, goes directly to a terminal and then to your new location, I found it definitely better and more reliable with determining a day/time window schedule for pickup and drop off of a lot of house stuff.

This is a first class operation. They were punctual with drop off and picking up the trailer. Had a slight problem but Chris was all over it and everything on the delivery end went smoothly.
Prices were far better than their competitors.

I was happy dealing with all Moving place personal. The pickup movers were great there were three of them and assisted me in relocating my king mattress. They were kind and courteous.

On the receiving end there were two movers and they unloaded very quickly. Again, they were courteous.

Very happy experience.

We lived in rural Northern CA where big moving vans are not able to navigate our long, narrow, twisty, driveway. Shipping container companies do not service our area and even if they did, they also could not navigate our driveway. The Movingplace helped us come up with a solution. They dropped off the container in Reno, NV (we lived one hour from Reno) at a friend's home. We rented a U-Haul truck, loaded it up and drove to Reno where we transferred our belongings into their shipping container. The Movingplace had great customer service and were very responsive to our needs. Our container arrived at our new home in WI exactly when they said it would. Best of all, the shipping charges were very reasonable.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The movers DESTROYED all of our property. Nothing was moved with care. No furniture was wrapped. Everything was thrown onto the trailer. The trailer has a leak. All our furniture has water damage. No TV was boxed. All screens are broken and have water damages and scratches. Ripped and a complete SCAM!!!! ZERO STARS

Excellent customer service. I made a cross country move, shipping household belongings as well as a vehicle. The truck arrived at my home when I was told it would and the same with the drop off at the destination. Both times the drivers called to let me know they were on their way. Everyone I spoke with at Movingplace was polite and very helpful. This type of moving service may not be for everyone, but it is cost effective and from the research I did the quickest way to get things moved across countsry.

I researched many moving companies. Based on all my research, I decided to go with Moving Place. What a great decision that was!! First, they were willing to bring our household goods all the way to our small town, where competitors were only willing to drop off my goods at their nearest hub (100 miles away)!

Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and professional and pleasant. A huge shoutout to the two drivers...the one who picked up our goods and the one who dropped them off! They were both great guys. A fabulous company that I highly recommend to everyone.

MovingPlace was cheaper than renting a trailer for my cross country move without the hassle of towing. The entire process from starting point drop off and pick up to destination drop off and pick up was seamless. Everything happened when it was supposed to happen and there were no surprises. I highly recommend MovingPlace.

Ben and Chris We’re truly on top of everything from day one that I decided to use the Moving Place for my household goods movement. They kept in constant communication with me letting me know the status of the trailer, when the charges were going to be made what my trailer limitations were and everything else that went along with this. This was the most positive moving experience I’ve had in moving my own household goods.

I am trying to move my mom from Texas to Colorado by July 31, 2022. I contacted the Moving Place and spoke with Ben. He sent me an estimate on July 13, 2022. I called on the Monday, July 16 to get everything finalized. First he said he needed the addresses, which he already had on the estimate he sent me. When I gave him the addresses, he said he couldn't deliver to my house because we live on a dirt road. I told him fine, he could deliver to my daughter's house because she lives in a neighborhood with paved streets and is only 3 miles from me. Then he said he looked at the schedule and they wouldn't be able to move her items until the middle of August, which was 2 weeks too late. By this time it was too late to schedule another moving company. He seemed to be trying to get out of the agreement we had. Granted it was an estimate, but he told me I had until July 17 to get the signed estimate to me. He and I spoke on the phone several times and he never gave me any indication there would be any issues with the move. As of the time of this review, I still don't know how we are going to get her belongings to Colorado. Every company I have contacted is just too expensive.

They did a great job. They drop the trailer off when they said, pick it up and they said, dropped it off again when they said, and pick it up again when they said. Their price did not change. I would definitely use them again

MovingPlace made all their deadlines, the trailer was on time and functional, and treated us with respect. They kept in touch throughout the entire process, and dropped and picked up the trailer when they said they would. I can recommend them heartily.
