I ordered the Rattan Corner Set – Black for £649.99, expecting a premium-quality product based on how it was advertised. Unfortunately, the reality couldn’t have been more disappointing.
My partner and I were happy to assemble it ourselves, but the quality was shocking from the start. Many of the parts didn’t align correctly, making assembly incredibly difficult. The stools were the worst part – they simply couldn’t be assembled at all, they don’t even align so I can’t even make one stool.
The overall finish is nowhere near what I’d expect for something marketed as a luxury garden set. The rattan was already broken in places, there were loose threads coming from the stitching, and the back cushions, which are supposed to have a button-effect finish, look awful. You can actually see the inner stuffing through them, making the whole set look cheap and poorly made.
What has made this experience even worse is the customer service. I’ve been in contact with Monster Shop since 19th June, and I’m still waiting for replacement items. Responses take several days each time, dragging out what should have been a straightforward resolution. The lack of urgency and communication has been incredibly frustrating.
For a purchase costing £649.99, I expected far better quality and far better after-sales support. Instead, I’ve been left with a faulty product and an ongoing battle to get the issue resolved.

Not a good sofa at all
Sofa has been very difficult to put together, screws do not match the holes. The back of the sofa has been made back to front, I called and was told the extra part was on its way.. called a week later as nothing has arrived to be told there is a delay and no idea when the part will be sent out… terrible service

Ordered a garden furniture set, for next day delivery, turned up over a week later. Was chasing for constant updates everyday and could not get in touch with anybody via email or on the phone. Phone lines just have an automated message stating that it’s voicemail only.
Once the goods finally turned up, the table was missing, all of the different sized screws arrived in one mixed bag and sized didn’t match. There are no instructions other than a QR code which doesn’t work, finally found the instructions online and they were just 2 steps for a whole garden furniture set. None of the holes align, backs does not fit onto the sides. The whole set is unusable. Messaged them the same night to say I want it collected and I want a refund, no response, now over a week since and still no response. They have over £500.00 of my money and there is absolutely no way of getting a response from them. Will be advancing this further!!

I have never used Monster Shop before
I have never used Monster Shop before. To be honest I was not sure about purchasing from them. However the product price was very competitive and they had it in stock. Everything was delivered on time and the product was much better than expected. It was even their own brand with a very good multi language instruction manual . I would use them again.

AVOID - awful quality and terrible customer service
Ordered a cantilever umbrella and weighted base, which arrived swiftly with next day delivery. When I opened the package and set the umbrella up, it had deep scratches right through the powder coating to the metal - so it'll rust. There's no less than 10 scuffs, dings, dents and scratches on the umbrella pole. The quality is terrible. Contacted them immediately and was offered £11 refund, which I declined, I asked for the product to be replaced. It's now more than a week later and customer service has stopped replying to my emails and I've not received a replacement - which is very much needed in this weather. Don't waste your money with this company.

Order arrived within 2 days that's the only positive, but there was a vital part missing, tried to contact them by phone and went straight to voicemail. Left a voicemail and sent an email, no reply. Still awaiting the missing piece! The furniture was a nightmare to put together, screw holes missing, made it impossible to put together. It's more hassle than it's worth to be honest.

Arrived really quickly and the corner sofa, table, stools and cantilever parasol are fantastic! Great value for money. Only slight downsides were that the QR code for the instructions didn’t work so had to find it ourselves online and it was a bit tricky to assemble with some of the holes not lining up properly. I read the same issues on other outdoor furniture from other suppliers so it does seem to be a universal issue at the manufacturers end. Overall we are really delighted with the set especially as it was reduced to half price! Really impressive garden set for the money! I’ve seen less well made sets in shops that cost twice as much if not more.
