I contacted Paul as I needed a second opinion on a fuel system related fault. He attended and gave a detailed diagnostic check and a close all round inspection of the vehicle. After doing some research he suspected it could possibly be the high pressure fuel pump that may be causing the issue. I've used Paul twice.The first time he quickly diagnosed a faulty ESP control unit, which saved huge time and money as I just booked it in to the local Mercedes dealer to simply replace the part. I had to use the dealer as they can only activate the new ESP unit on the Mercedes computer network! The second time I called on his help was to diagnose a mystery engine sound! On initial inspection he thought it might be a worn timing belt but after getting the parts and coming back and getting ready to do a replacement. He spent more time checking it, then changed his mind and said it will be actually be usable and OK. He gives you good expert advice and saves you money, as well as really looking after your car and it's all done at your home! highly recommended! An expert mechanic and great customer service. It's gives huge financial relief to not to have to rely on the very expensive Mercedes service network, with a very viable alternative.

My cars air con pump failed and needed replacing I called paul and we stayed in contact for a few days while the parts arrived. I was told by mercedes specialist garage it's a 4 to 6hr job and it will cost me almost 1500. When paul came out who uses genuine mercedes parts he had the job done in less then 2hrs and charged peanuts compared to the garage. He explained everything he was doing we had good general chat.

The service was superb-highly qualified mechanic came to my house Sunday morning - diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes and provided me a super reasonable price for the new parts plus labour repair, compared to local garages. Unfortunately the repair was more than the car was worth so I did not go ahead. However I was not asked to pay for the diagnostic visit - super fair - would not hesitate to use the service again.

Paul is a rare professional Mercedes specialist engineer....not just a mechanic!!....he knows the cars inside out...and if he is dealing with a problem it will get fixed. Enjoyed his service look after our cars for a long time now and will never go back to the main dealer again! Long gone are the unsubstantiated bills from a main dealer. If you are serious about your car Call Paul....he comes to you! Even brings his own coffee!

Paul is, beyond doubt, one of the finest mechanics I have come across in my time of owning over 70 cars. I was, naturally, not sure when I was trying to find a mechanic to sort a fault with my wife’s SLK and to also give it a scheduled service, as to what I would experience when booking, but it went smoothly, with great communication and Paul kept me updated on his ETA.
Firstly, seeing Paul walk around, touch, inspect and check every aspect of the car was reassuring and also comforting, in he was making sure that he did not miss anything that may be an issue. At no point did I suspect he was trying to find a problem, but more getting the comfort of having looked the car over, to advise should there be something that was needed. As was the case, Paul in fact advised me that the car was one of the best that he’d seen of this class.

Paul spent a good time fixing the issue, and also servicing the car and in fact spotted a potentially very dangerous issue with regards to the wheel nuts, in that they had clearly had not been tightened to the required level by the previous garage. This was quite frightening to hear but very pleased that the thoroughness of Paul in checking, spotted this very dangerous problem.
It’s so happened that I had also, the day before, purchased a GLA for my son. Paul was very gracious in running the diagnostics on the GLA at no extra cost to ensure that I have not bought a potential banana skin of a car.

I don’t think I can recommend Paul enough. There is absolutely no way that I am going to be putting my Mercedes cars to anybody else for any work, repairs or service going forward other than Paul.

You can pay cheaper for sure, But when a potentially catastrophic failure in checking basic safety issues such as tightening wheel locks to the required level is missed, I do not think that you can put a price on safety.

Basically, don’t trust your car with anyone else but Paul. Seriously.

Paul is such an experienced Mercedes mechanic that he can diagnose the reason for problems without a ramp and without even any diagnositc tools in some cases - he just knows what the problem is from asking a few question - because he has been working with mercedes for so long. He is also flexible and comes to you - he came to help me on a camping site when my back door wouldn't open! Peace of mind with your car - so important.
