**DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY** The rental was thru Priceline under my boyfriend's name. At the counter we were told we could not add me as an additional driver (to use my car insurance as my boyfriend only has liability on an older car) & we were told Florida no longer had pay till booths. So we were forced to add their car insurance and toll booth coverage. The first booth we went through DID has a cash booth & when we returned the car & got the receipt it showed me as an additional driver. We were lied to at the counter! Additionally, the car has less than a 1/4 tank of gas when we got it so we immediately had to get gas and the brakes needed to be replaced! After I tried to file a complaint when the BBB only to find the company is based in Mexico! Good luck with any issues because their customer service phone line provides an email indicating a 24-hour response. I've sent 3 emails asking for my deposit back on my credit card without areply. It took me filing a dispute with my card member service and almost 2 months to get that back. WORST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!

i would not recommend this place they wanted to double charge which is suspicious to cheat you out of your security deposit in a fraudulent way they look like the type to do scam you not very customer looking appearance as Representatives they look like the type to steal your information and funds

Mex car rental Sofia, Bulgaria is a scam company, They essentially forced their "insurance policy" on us when we picked up the car even though we were fully insured already. Also when we returned the car they said come inside so we can refund your deposit and rather than refunding they took another 851 pounds from our card. Be very careful with these scammers!

They don't make their money by renting cars, but by ripping off customers with very high fees for very small scratches. 500 EUR for a tiny scratch.
What's more, they even go so far as to do the damage themselves. I filmed someone who came to do damage to the rental vehicle the night before the return. The next morning, boom, 1500 EUR in fees.
NOTE that they use several names: Rent 1CAR, addCAR, Mex Car, NU Rent car...

Car was dirty in and out when I picked up. They charged me for 75 dlls deposit fee that I was not aware of. 2 weeks have passed and I have not received my deposit back. People were rude when I returned back the car. They were trying to charged me for a scratch the car already had. Stay away from this rental place.

A pesar de las opiniones, los utilizamos para 15 días en nuestro viaje a Yucatán. Reservalos con su página y cogimos el seguro. Todo fue perfecto, el precio era el mejor, recogerlo fueron 10 min y sin nada raro, el coche era el esperado y devolución también fue bien. Yo repetiría.

È molto semplice. Tu prenoti ad una cifra, arrivi lì, ti obbligano ad acquistare le loro assicurazioni. TI OBBLIGANO. E poi lavorano veramente male. Ho sostituito tre macchine non funzionanti in una notte sola. Sporche da far schifo.

Abbiamo prenotato un auto 8 posti all’aeroporto di cancun. Arrivati al noleggio ci dicono di avere solo auto 7 posti o più piccole ma essendo noi in 6 con 5 valigie non andava bene. Alla fine decidiamo di stringerci e prendere lo stesso quell’auto ma scopriamo che dobbiamo pagare 300 dollari aggiuntivi per una qualche assicurazione obbligatoria nonostante avessimo noi un’assicurazione che copriva al 100%. Gli abbiamo lasciato li l’auto e noleggiata con hertz più economica e più seria.

The deposit was something else once I got to the counter, it was actually doubled from what I showed him was on the website. Would not accept my insurance. Including other additional fees compounded so I said never mind. I went right back to the airport and saved a lot of money going with one of the national big chains compared to this place.

Biggest scam company ever!!!!! Never rent a car with them!

We reserved a car For Mid-April on March 1 for $144 USD for 9 days. We arrived on the date of the reservation, and went to the counter at the airport.

The woman said that the car we reserved wasn't available, all they had was a car that cost $130 USD per DAY! $1170 usd, instead of the reservation price of $144 per WEEK. These people do not understand how reservations work, apparently.

I took my business elsewhere. Bait and switch.

Total scam.

Never rent a car with this company, it's a complete rip-off. Extra hidden charges at the airport, complete unhelpful staff, they just want to extort money of you in any shape or form. I would never book again with these thiefs. Please avoid. Tulum airport

Compagnie d’arnaqueurs. Ils veulent absolument qu’on prenne l’assurance alors qu’on a déjà payé une assurance avec expédia et nous avons une assurance pour le voyage ainsi que sur la carte bancaire. Impossible de les faire réfléchir
Surtout ne prenez pas cette compagnie !

Stay away from this place. It's a scam , they charge you 200 to 300 $per tiny little scratch. Also I had insurance and when I try to do claim the pictures were clearly from different car , stay away dont waste your money and energy, Last but not least they are not even at the airport, no one was waiting for us when we requested it.

Los asesores buscan todas las maneras para vender sus seguros, es muy incomodo y es una experiencia bastante desagradable, ya que como turista, se tiene el tiempo, dinero y estancia medido, y te hacen pasar un muy mal momento, espero la empresa busque la forma de cambiar esto, definitivamente no vuelvo a rentar un auto con MEX

Worst rental experience ever and I lived in Mexico for a year and travel there regularly. Forced to buy expensive insurance (buy before you travel), with operative sneering, ‘you didn’t really expect a car for that price did you?’ Referring to the price I paid booking.com. Three separate customers were crying during the long wait for the car, which incidentally is a bus ride from the terminal. Avoid

Abomination. Everything about this company in Bulgaria is wrong and lacking. The staff are bold faced liars and fraudsters. Having to wait forever for the pick up at the airport and then being collected in a vehicle not fit enough to carry animals heading to the abattoir. Then being taken to the dustiest place in beautiful Bulgaria to sign documents and collect a vehicle. No greeting by the staff when we arrived and then given an “upgraded” vehicle. Full of holes, dents and scratches but engine working properly. It just seemed like a rush to get us to sign and when asked any questions the staff were getting annoyed like if we were keeping them from their smoke break. No customer service whatsoever. On return the vehicle that was driven twice ( to get where we were going and back on separate days) and parked in a secure area, we were told it had scratches and massive damages. The vehicle was touched at NO TIME! Such blatant lies and then added the car was dirty (rain was pouring and their car park is unpacked and full of potholes). We showed the guy the pictures of the car being washed before the rain came. Upwards of £2500 they are asking for damages. Trust me people, stay far away from these folks. It is such a scam. These guys need investigating.
