Un Exelente trato de Lupita...que siempre en mis viajes es tan gentil, amable y profesional. Especialmente estuve en Julio de vacaciones con mis hijas en Cancun y Merida y ambos lugares rente un vehículo y su atención fue espectacular...buscando soluciones a cualquier solicitud. VERY FRAUDULENT COMPANY, do not rent from this company. I reserved online through Car Jet with full car insurance. After waiting for 2 hours in the heat, I picked up the car I had rented. I did not inspect the car because I had taken out full insurance, but they took a large deposit from me plus the amount I had to pay for the rental. When I returned the car, they showed me 9 scratches and did not return any deposit, explaining to me that they had taken out All Inclusive insurance with which they have no claims against me. Do not rent cars from this company, you will waste time and money.

A nosotros solo llegar nos dijeron que habíamos llegado más tarde de la hora que pusimos en el contrato y que por eso la reserva se canceló automáticamente (en vuelos internacionales es muy posible que hayan retrasos, no podían dar un margen de espera??? eso es mala leche!), y que si queríamos un coche teníamos que hacer una nueva reserva y pagar los precios de ese día que justamente eran 3 veces más caros. A parte de eso, para la fianza no aceptaron nuestra tarjeta de crédito virtual (en el móvil) porqué decían que tenía que ser física, y por ello nos cobraron un seguro por día con la tarjeta de débito, sin darnos opción a una retención por posibles daños, directamente se embolsaron ese dinero. Pero en ningún momento nos devolvieron el importe del seguro que contratamos inicialmente en la reserva que supuestamente ellos habían cancelado.... en fin, toda una serie de triquiñuelas para ir cobrando de más, y lo que tenía que haber sido un alquiler económico, nos acabó costando como 4 veces más de lo inicial. Ahora estamos reclamando el importe del primer seguro pagado y anulado por el segundo, pero ni nos contestan los emails ni tienen ninguna intención de saldar cuentas. Una vergüenza de empresa. EVITARLA A TODA COSTA!!!!

Si pudiera dar cero estrellas lo haría, es lo peor, te forzar a pagar su seguro aunque en ninguna parte de la reserva lo especificaba, el personal muy grosero te trata como si estuvieras tonto o no entendieras que a fuerzas les tienes que pagar y pues obvio no me deje, el problema es que Booking.com no me reembolsó lo que pagué por su reserva engañosa y Méx rent a Car no me me regresó mi dinero del excesivo deposito

Le pongo 1 estrella porque no se puede poner menos. Me mintieron directamente en la cara cobrándome una cantidad de 7400MXN,más del triple de lo que me había costado el alquiler del coche, diciendo que esa cantidad era por si se devolvía el coche sin gasolina, multas, peajes...
Cuál es mi sorpresa cuando esa cantidad no se me devolvió y me dicen que ese cobro era por un seguro y una asistencia en carretera que había dicho 1 minuto antes que no la quería, que ya iba asegurado a todo riesgo con AXA.
Además la factura que me han entregado no cuadran las cuentas con la cantidad cobrada, no tiene ningún sentido. Es una ESTAFA de compañía
No reservéis con ellos porque al final os va a salir más caro que contras compañías.

Atendeu as expectativas, atendimento ágil e objetivo sem burocracias.

Stay Away. Go with a trustworthy rental company or Turo.

1. I relived the Brian Regan comeny skit about making a reservation at a hotel but with this rental company. Basically their automated system told me they would have a shuttle every 20 minutes till 11:00 PM. I arrived to the pickup location at 10:30 PM.nobody came. ... I had to pay $150 in Uber fares to my Air B&B and back to the company in the morning.
2. The attitude of the staff was horrible, and they told me most likely my reservation was cancelled because of my no-show. Somehow they had a similar vehicle in stock so I took it.
3. There was a water stain on the seat from the previous rental. I did a video of the outside of the car, but didn't see it because it was so faint. I was charged $50 cleaning fee.
4. The processing time took 30 minutes retuning the car! This is big deal when you're trying to catch your flight.
In the end, I spent an extra $200 more than I anticipated and it was as if the staff had become soulless from interacting with so many frustrated customers.

I take it as a $200 lesson stay away from unknown rental companies. This was literally the worst rental car company experience I've ever had in the past 30 years of business travel.

From now on, I'll use a major brand or Turo. Stay away from this company. Not worth the stress, wasted time, money, frustration, and disgust.

Will never use this company again. A highly unpleasant experience of being overcharged. Their extra insurance price on arrival was highly questionable after booking the same with a comparison site. They charged their own excessive penalty rate for petrol instead of the market rate, this for their car that had a flat tyre during the trip. This needed replacing during the rental period causing much inconvenience when the front desk committed to charging for the petrol at the market rate. They then disregard all follow up correspondence. Unlike other car rental companies that I frequently use worldwide they don't issue a settlement invoice on departure. No transparency. Avoid.

A client scamming car rental company.
First I was given a car with many mechanical problems. Red warning signs on the dashboard started appearing, contacted the office, sent photos, no answer, looks like nobody was bothered, So, for two weeks I had to drive a vehicle with the risk of breaking down in the middle of the road.
Then, when I returned the car they started finding many "new" scratches, on a vehicle that was having a ton of scratches to start with. They wanted to charge me 2500 eur.,telling me to claim the money back from the insurance, which is a total scam. And reading other people's reviews I realise that's a common practice for this company.
My advice is stay away from them.

If I can rate MEX Car Rental lower I would. Horrible company to deal with, unfortunately is the worst people to deal with. Never rent a car from them!

NEVER EVER rent a car from this company. My husband and I booked a flight + car rental bundle on Priceline for LAX and picked a car from this company without hesitation since it was offered in Priceline and what a huge mistake that was. To start, it’s very unclear how to actually get to your car rental. After an hour of trying to figure it out at the airport, calling the company only to get transferred to a number where the voicemail box was full, we finally got a hold of someone who told us we needed to get on a shuttle to a separate parking lot out of LAX where another shuttle would be there to take us to the rental location. We sat for about 30 minutes waiting for the 2nd shuttle until I called and was told they’d be on their way to get us. They picked us up along with a few other customers that were waiting. We then arrive at this sketchy building where a line was out the door. We waited IN LINE FOR OVER 1 HOUR! Once we got to the desk, we were asked if we would be using personal insurance or if we would like to purchase their insurance. We immediately declined because we had our own insurance with car rental coverage. We’re then asked if we have our declaration of our policy to which we said no because who carries that around with them? We did show him our insurance card and on our car insurance companies app where it states we have car rental insurance. We were told we were missing one piece to our rental insurance (whatever that means?) and that we had to pay $25/day or we wouldn’t be getting the rental. (I want to note: this was forced upon each and every person in line in front of us and not a single person had what was needed from their personal insurance. SCAM.) We chose to pay it because not only did we already pay for the rental through Priceline, we WASTED 2 hours at this point between trying to get to the place and actually waiting in line. After we pay the additional $125 for the insurance, we are now asked for our credit card for the security deposit of a whopping ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS! We unfortunately agree and then we are handed keys to our rental and guided to our car. We are told to scan the QR code on the keychain of the keys we were handed which led us to a website where we had to provide photos of any damage/scratches on the vehicle. If anything was missed in the photos, we would be responsible for it which is funny considering there were so many scratches on our rental that we ran out of space to provide all of the photos. Car worked fine. Fast forward to the end of our trip, we returned the car and then had to obviously get a ride back to the original parking lot where then an airport shuttle picked us up. The $1,000 security deposit fell off after a few days but to our surprise is now charged again onto our card. If it doesn’t fall off again our credit card company will be contacted. No one could pay us to use this company again and shame on Priceline for even offering them as an option on their website. If you want a smooth, easy car rental for your vacation, this is not it. You are better off paying the little bit more to have a smooth and easy experience through a place like Avis or Hurtz. BEWARE!!!

On a recent trip to Mérida, Yucatán, booked through Expedia, we rented a car from Mex Rent A Car as part of a package. The rental rate was about $7 per day. Before our trip, I called the rental company to confirm whether there would be any additional charges at pickup, and they assured me there would not be.

However, upon arrival, I was told I had to either purchase supplemental insurance for $304.43 or allow a $5,000 hold on my credit card. With my wife and two kids tired and hungry after traveling, I had no real choice but to comply.

This is a clear example of predatory practices that should not be allowed or tolerated on Expedia’s platform.

Bei unserer Ankuft in Sofia wurden mir, genau wie den Reisenden, die vor mir in der Schlage standen, eine teure Zusatzversicherung auf die Nase gedrückt. Ohne diese werden Debitkreditkarten nicht akzepiert, es müssen zusätzlich Reinigungs- und Verwaltungsgebühr gezahlt werden, von der bei der Buchung des Autos online über Carjet.com jedoch keine Rede war. Das Auto, dass ich erhalten habe, war nur grob gereinigt worden und blieb nach nach einiger Zeit wegen ihrer defekten Batterie liegen. Trotz aufgezwungendem 450 € teurem "All inclusive package" wurde mir jedoch bei der Panne nicht weitergeholfen. Ich durfte selbst ein Taxi rufen, dass mir Starthilfe geben musste. Die Kosten dafür wurden auch nicht erstattet.

Tuve la peor experiencia rentando un coche con Mex Rent a Car Cancun. Uno se da cuenta que va ser una mala expereiencía cuando el chico que lava los coches te pide un extra por un mejor auto. Cuando decline la oferta, empezó la pesadilla. A los 30 minutos de carretera, de desinflo la llanta (No caí en ningún bache). Soporte me comento que se tardaban 2 horas en ir por mi. Decidi cambiar la llanta yo. No me dieron respuesta ni apoyo de nada. Tuve que incluso comprar una llanta nueva, ya que la otra se encontraba en condiciones peligrosas.

No me han reembolsado la llanta que compre. Pero no hay tema. Prefiero no jugarme la vida. Que mal servicio y mal producto

Llegando al aeropuerto de Chetumal Quintana Roo, México, ya con la reserva del auto pre pagada, se inventaron un cobro de $1,299 pesos, por un supuesto cobro por recolección en aeropuerto. Obvio esto es una estafa, en realidad cobran un supuesto "servicio de ayuda vial", pero no lo explican así, y amedrentan con cancelar la reserva si no se hace ese pago.

Like everyone else's reviews, this is a SCAM car rental place. It came with the Priceline vacation package I bought. I'm surprised that Priceline would work with a company like this. I paid in full for the car with my priceline package, but when I turned the car in at the end of my trip, they tried to charge me again. I refused and told them I had already paid in full. Then a few days later, I got a charge from them on my card for $116.47 that was told via text that this is the "Waiver to reduce the security deposit to $100!" WHAT?? I tried to call them, but I can only get an AI lady who won't connect me to a human. This was a huge rip off. I won't let Priceline book me a car again either. Terrible business for both companies.

We were given a price of the internet and paid the deposit and the premium insurance. Took a taxi to the airport to pick up the car and pay the balance. Were told our credit card didn’t work and would have to cancel the original booking and pay 200€ extra to book direct with them. When we phoned our bank there was no record of our attempted payments. Avoid! Scam!!

SCAM SCAM STAY AWAY - Car had a hole in the tire they did not tell us about, and the tread on the tires was so low that we had to replace an entire tire. They also FORCE you to purchase their $30/day insurance which I don't believe will cover the tire replacement because it is not their "premium insurance"

WORST RENTAL CAR EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. TOTAL SCAM. They force you to buy insurance even when my personal insurance covers everything. But by the time you take the two shuttle buses to finally arrive, you generally don't have a choice. They lure you in on Priceline with what appears to be a great rate, then they rip you off when you get there. AVOID THIS RENTAL CAR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
