My prior OSA shoes and AFO splint were heavy and bulky. Jack did an excellent job on my custom positioning AFO’s. They are light, made of carbon fiber and allow me to wear high-street shoes again.
Very happy with the results!

I have been seeing Jack Chong the orthotist for almost a year. When I went to see him I had two ulcers on the base of my left foot. I am diabetic and had a road traffic accident in 2018 where I fractured my left pelvis and damaged my left sciatic nerve. My old orthotic failed and everything offered by my local NHS orthotist was not working. I started doing private sessions in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to try and heal the ulcers. I knew without a good orthotic the hyperbaric oxygen alone would not heal the ulcers. Jack did a thorough examination of my foot and recommended an orthotic which definitely help them almost completely heal. He then suggested making a second orthotic after a few months of using the first orthotic. With the second orthotic my ulcers completely healed. At various points if I had any issues with either of the orthotics, all I had to do was contact Jack and he would arrange to see me and make the necessary adjustments. I am a NHS paediatric consultant and thanks to the brilliant Jack Chong and the great team of technicians in the London Orthotic Consultancy labs I have been able to physically get back to work after working from home for several months in 2025. I have raved so much about Jack to the senior podiatrist and diabetic foot consultant in my local hospital they are now recommending Jack if any patient wants to see a private orthotist.

I had neuropathy-related problems with my feet for several years until I was referred to LOC for specialist shoes. Jack Choong examined me, made recommendations and produced the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! I've even ordered a second pair! My foot problems have been overcome and I can walk comfortably again.

Having been first diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth Type II in 2012 at age 50 my ability to walk and balance was becoming increasingly difficult despite being reasonably active cycling etc and the NHS were unable to help me as it worsened. After an initial consultation with Jack in Dec 2025 we agreed the way forward was a pair of custom Carbon fibre Neuro-swing AFOs which I have been using for a month, WOW WOW WOW they are utterly life changing as I can now easily balance, stand still, bend down, walk unaided without a stick and wear all the shoes that I found impossible before. Friends and family have been amazed at me walking normally without a stick. Forget any comparison to off the shelf AFOs which I had used as these are light years ahead, they actively give me a normal gait as the mechanism allows movement while providing complete support and balance, they are also really comfortable and easy to wear. The follow up service on tweaking the angles and spring tension is brilliant with the Gait Lab analysis all included for the first year. Whilst they may seem expensive, the reality is that they are cheap considering the next decade or so of making my life more normal both indoors and outdoors. It is eye opening to see the robotics and technology they are using for disabled people and children and the future is certainly bright. Jack and the team have been truly amazing and my advice is don't wait if you have issues. With hindsight I should have seen them years ago!

Having worn orthotics for many years and I needed to get a new pair as my feet had changed quite a lot. I thought I would try LOC (having tried else where in Sept last year). I was booked in with Jack Choong. He was absolutely brilliant. He was kind and patient (especially when trying to position my feet where they needed to go when measuring). He really took his time to go through every step properly. When all the measurements were taken and orthotics made, I went back to try them. He adjusted them perfectly and didn't rush when doing this. I have just had my follow up to check and all is good! What I realised while listening to Jack talk about the issue/my feet is that he really does know what he is talking about - he knows his subject inside out. I realised this when at the appointment, he mentioned a particular thing about my feet that I knew about, (but others I had used elsewhere had got wrong!) I am so happy because I know I can trust what Jack Choong says / suggests one hundred percent. I know I will happily return for future treatments and upgrades to my orthotics. I was first seen by Mr. Saeed when my baby was about 5 months old. He carried out investigations and gave me excellent advice on what we should do. The advice was non-obligational but very helpful and reassuring. All the treatments went so smoothly; every appointment was friendly and welcoming, and he showed such interest in my daughter’s progress. Now my daughter is almost 12 months old, and I have successfully finished the treatment! Worth every penny! Highly recommended.

I am a long-term polio patient, having caught it in 1949 in my early childhood, and face a variety of problems with both legs, and both feet, as well as my back and shoulders. Difficulties with NHS provision led me to try LOC. There, my orthoticist, Jack, made exceptional efforts to ensure that I got the appliance, and the surgical boots, which truly meet my requirements. He has been patient, efficient, courteous kind and friendly throughout, and he and the splendid team at LOC have dealt swiftly with any issue I raised as soon as I mentioned it. I suspect I will never regain the degree of mobility I had before the first Covid lockdown, but his appliance certainly helps make walking easier, and has greatly reduced the number of painful side-effects I used to suffer.

In the midst of my health adventure, I was referred to the London Orthotics Consultancy for a brace designed to make my life bearable until the next step.
It was all done, from A to Z, in a matter of three working days. Bespoke, personally fitted and personally timed. Connor accommodated my request for a ridiculously fast delivery of a brace, which was prepared in no time, using a super-efficient application. My upper body was measured with accuracy to a millimetre, and I was even offered a choice of colour. Of course, I chose a quirky camouflage pattern and colour, which put a smile on my face, in the seriousness of my situation. Spot on.
Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend the Cambridge Branch of the London Orthotics to anybody facing the same or similar circumstances, although I do not wish anyone to have to face such.

My niece travels all the way from Latin America to be seen by the professionals at the London Orthotic Consultancy because the care and service they provide are truly outstanding. Her Orthotist, Mr. Choong, has consistently gone above and beyond to provide professional and thoughtful care. Even when facing challenges like the distance—when my niece is not in the UK—he ensures continuous support through Zoom calls, emails, or whatever means necessary, demonstrating a genuine commitment to his patients.

I came over from Freiburg, Germany to get my new splint constructed since I could not find a good solution in Germany.

Since I was only there for two weeks everything was prepared after a phone call with Connor Mumford.

After two weeks and three appointments I had a pefectly fitted AFO.

I had infantile paralysis, aka Polio, at nine months which severely affected my left leg.
This is the third brace I have had made by the LOC over a six year period as my left ankle has gradually deteriorated and its equine shape worsened.
Initially it was with Sam and the last one with Jack designed to provide additional support to the ankle.
My experience with everyone has always been excepcional. My case is a complicated one but Jack went to great lengths with various additional fittings to ensure that the final product met my necessities completely.
I am now having a fitting for a further brace necessitated exclusively by the continued decline of my left ankle

We had an excellent experience at LOC in Kingston. My son was followed up by Mr Saeed and Jo Drake for helmet treatment after his operation at 5 months following the diagnosis of unicoronal craniosynostosis. Both were absolutely amazing throughout the entire process.

They explained everything clearly at every consultation, which made the journey so much easier and reassuring for us as parents. A special thank you to Jo, who was incredibly approachable, kind, and understanding of all the challenges we faced.

I truly appreciate all the care, professionalism, and support provided by the LOC team, and I would highly recommend them to any family needing this type of treatment.

The treatment I have received from this company is appalling.
Three times I have been left in agony because the consultants have made insoles for my shoes incorrectly.
And at the HUGE cost of £350 & £175 a pair.

Never an apology.
Just indifference from the consultants.
And a rude and hostile attitude from the lead orthotist’s secretary.
I have just been passed from one consultant to another.
They don’t read emails that are sent to them.
They don’t phone when they say they will.
And they make little attempt to rectify all the problems that THEY have caused.
It is Shameful that anyone should have to endure this.

If LOC made the insoles correctly - as they should do - in the first place, none of the anguish would have happened & I would not have been left in weeks of pain.

Jack, Sam and the whole team at LOC are my goddam heroes. If you have any requirement for orthotics, these are the only people you will ever need, I can confidently assure you.

I've had issues with my left foot for 35 years, but they worsened significantly in the last 5 to the point where walking had become a major problem, and anything 'off-road', or even on pavements with adverse camber, had become impossible.

I'd had a basic orthotic from the NHS for 15 years which helped a lot but as the issue worsened, it was becoming virtually useless.

I was referred to LOC by an orthopedic consultant, as he thought surgery would be a bad move, but that my condition posed significant challenges.

I met Jack Choong for an initial assessment. From the outset, I felt I was in exceptionally good hands. Jack listened intently to my challenges, took detailed 3D scans and measurements, and explained at great length precisely what he had in mind and why.

And so began a remarkable 5 month, 7 appointment journey of prototyping, redesign, refinement and testing. It was clear my issues were a very tough challenge to resolve, but Jack's incredible patience, ingenuity and total commitment and dedication to resolving them in the best possible way have completely blown me away. The fact he's also a thoroughly nice guy, who has a passion for what he does and clearly enjoys the collaborative engineering process as much as I do, made the whole process hugely enjoyable and, frankly, exciting. Each iteration gave me more confidence that a solution was achievable (something Jack assured me was the case from the outset, incidentally, but I was sceptical!)

The sophisticated carbon fibre and metal device that I've now had for a year is incredible - completely transformative. Not only can I walk relatively normally again, I can run about and play football with my kids, walk on rough ground, beaches etc again. I really thought all these things were gone for good.

In the year since I've been using the device, I've been back for servicing and fine tuning a few times, and always get the same 5 star service and just the tweaks I need to keep it working perfectly.

I really can't recommend Jack and LOC highly enough. I've never experienced service, expertise and care of this sort before, to produce something so completely customised and optimised to address my unique and complex challenges.
