We’re proud to be one of the UK’s only independent orthotic clinics that both manufacture and fit orthotics entirely in-house. And now, we’re officially Made in Britain accredited—recognition of our commitment to quality and local craftsmanship The London Orthotic Consultancy (LOC) was established in August 2004, by four clinicians who originally worked within the NHS at the same London hospital. They ran a successful orthotic department that gained a worldwide reputation as a centre of excellence in the field of rehabilitation. While three of the founding clinicians are still working for LOC, the team has expanded to eight clinicians, nine full-time admin staff and eight highly skilled orthotic technicians. All of our clinicians are fully qualified professionals and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO). As such, we adhere to a strict code of conduct and ethics, as laid down by BAPO. The clinical needs of our patients are always our first priority, so we can ensure the highest level of clinical care is provided.

Forward-thinking, quality product and customer-centric
I have been coming to the London Orthotic Consultancy for 20+ years and have been seen to by a number of different consultants in that time. The longevity of my relationship with them is testament to the quality of orthotics and the service they provide, enabling me to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Technology in this industry changes so quickly and LOC ensure that they are on top of that, transferring any medical advances in this space straight on to their patients.

Excellent Understanding & Professional Service
I have been seen by LOC Kingston, specifically by Jack Choong for custom made Ankle Foot Orthosis and trainers / shoes to fit alongside them.
My experience since my initial telephone consultation with Jack in late January 2025 to gain an understanding of myself potentially wishing to be seen by LOC Kingston to present having attended the clinic on a number of occasions has been very positive.
I was struggling for over a year and a half in light the most current NHS provided AFOs and trainers having caused myself pain and discomfort.
Jack has kindly taken the time whilst also having taken consideration to small details that might have contributed to the pain and difficulties experienced with the NHS provided AFOs.
The custom made AFOs provided by Jack has not only successfully allowed for the prolonged pain and discomfort to be resolved but has also allowed myself to have better balance and most importantly to slowly regain the confidence to walk short distances completely unaided.
I look forward to continuing to attend LOC in the very near future whilst also highly recommending them.

Excellence
It has been three years now since my wife is going to LOC in Kingston. She is a stroke survivor with hemiplegia and needs adapted footwear and corrective anke-foot orthosis to be able to walk. The clinic and staff are absolutely fantastic and their forethought is improving the lives of those in need. My wife is seen by Jack Choong whom we highly regard for his professionalism. From the initial assessment to thorough understanding of post-stroke challenges he has tailored his approach based on my wife's specific situation and the results are amazing. With regular assessments and adaptations spasticity , foot drop and gait are continuously improving. Recently she had the opportunity to trial the Agilik- an exoskeleton that we hope will further enhance her quality of life. Big shout out to Beverly too who always make children and adults feel welcome.
