Appalling service total lack of communication

Sent shares in for sale received on 1 April by special delivery along with my original driving license as proof of id
Seven calls later and still no sign of my license or info on share sale
Been advised by ICO to report to the Police as illegal to hold onto legal id documents
Someone at Link needs to sort out these lengthy delays and no communication with updates other than calling and waiting 30+ mins for someone to answer!
Unacceptable service!

What an absolute shower!

What an absolute shower!
Complete and utter disgraceful way of conducting business, cut off, left on hold for up to an hour, 4 times!!!>unfortunately no choice but to use them. Should NEVER be managing people’s finances and should be struck off. ZERO STARS. MINUS EVEN. PATHETIC.

Go straight to the ombudsman after call no 2

If you have no choice but to use this company, as I did, give them only one opportunity to correct an error. Link have failed to execute the transaction they were instructed with. They have been notified of this and promised a response within different time periods on 3 occasions each of which has not been met - radio silence. Some of these were supposedly high priority escalations. Don't play this game with them. Give them only one opportunity to meet whatever deadline they tell you they are working to, and then raise it as a formal complaint. At that point they have 5 days to resolve or you can go to the Financial Ombudsman. Do this on call number 2 - I'm on call number 5 and it's been at least 6 weeks since they failed to correctly execute an instruction that they've acknowledged they've received. The people on the phone are just call agents - they don't have any knowledge or recourse to help you, and the back office team just ignore the cases they raise in my experience.

Would have given zero stars

Unbelievably bad service. Advised them one month ago of my change in address. They deliberately ignored and sent an important mail to my old one. Tried to replace by sending me the pdf (with still the old address on it). Tried to call them but no response as kept waiting on the phone

I would have given zero stars

I would have given zero stars. When you phone , the poor person on the phone knows nothing and just lists your complaints. I have been trying for four months to get someone to transfer shares into my name so I can sell them . No joy. The latest is their printer has a problem since March 10th and so cannot print my certificate!! Is this company operating in the 21st century? Don't use them!!

Excruciatingly poor service

***UPDATE*** After contacting the Client Services Director directly, this issue was then resolved very quickly and efficiently after furnishing him with this complaint. Many thanks for eventually sorting this out

I give this review a reluctant one star. There really should be zero star ratings. I am writing this review on behalf of my father who has experienced many of the similar issues as experienced by the people below. He is literally at the end of his tether after trying to sort this out for three months now. Can I ask if anybody has successfully managed to get their money back/resolve their issues? Is there a particular person or department who is more willing to help? Did anybody report this company to the financial ombudsman/other relevant body? Has anybody taking any legal action? Many thanks in advance for any responses

I wouldn't wish this Company on my worst enemy

Following the sale of shares from an employee share plan, over 5 months later I am yet to receive the proceeds.

My emails and calls have been ignored this entire time, after complaining in December 2020, it has taken them till the end of March 2021 to even dignify me with a response.

When I did receive a response, it was full of untruths, and the company trying to push the blame onto me.

I wouldn't wish this Companies service on my worst enemy. In today's world where customer service is so important, I can't see them being around for long.

I have been trying to sell a few shares…

I have been trying to sell a few shares from my late fathers estate through this service. I started the process at the beginning of January, was first told that I could sell the shares over the phone , then eventually told that I needed to pay for a new share certificate which I duly did and was given conflicting advice about what I needed to do next. I was then told several emails, letters and phone calls later that some indemnity forms would be sent out . I made a formal complaint and was told last week that the forms would be sent in the post by the end of the week and that the 'express' service fee would be waived. Well, there appears to be no express service and I am still waiting for the forms to arrive over a week later. When I asked why they could not email the forms I was just told they couldn't. This is actually the worst customer exprience I think I have ever had.I can't believe that the organisation is actually still in business.

Traumatised as never before

Traumatised as never before by the appalling process and lack of people taking accountability in this company. What should have been a straightforward request for help and advice regarding lost shares in G4S was met by hours of repeated phone menus, buck passing, varying advice on what needed to happen and staff forever handing me over to another department - end result - no help whatsoever. This company set a new low level for poor customer service.

Requested an electronic transfer of…

Requested an electronic transfer of shares from Link to my broker. For 6 weeks my broker has tried to implement the transfer but has gotten nowhere with LINK. I don’t understand how a company like this can continually deliver abysmal service and be allowed to get away with it. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY, EVER. Covid has nothing to do with the lack of progress.

Eight months and still no result

The appalling service continues. Since informing the bereavement service on 12 June 2020 that my mother had died, I have received two letters and one email of condolence, the most recent on 7 December. On 23 October I posted to them a second death certificate (they claimed not to have received the first, which I posted on 17 June), the shares certificates and a Small Estates Indemnity Form. On 1 February, in my 9th telephone conversation with them, they confirmed they had received all those documents and they had been scanned into their system. Now all I had to do was wait for the shares certificates to be changed to my name and posted to me. On 15 February they wrote to me saying they have not received the Small Estates Declaration and Indemnity Form and they are retaining the shares certificates pending receipt of that. I'm about to attempt my 10th telephone call to them...

Appalling Service and Pathetic Excuses

Been trying now for over a month to swap my deceased mothers Taylor Wimpy shares into me and my brothers name. Three times I have phoned requesting the forms to do it, 3 times been given a reference number, and 3 times been promised I would have the forms that week having phoned on a Monday. Have yet to receive a thing yet only pathetic excuses every time you ring a to why I haven't received any forms. My opinion so far is to avoid this company like Covid 19 unless you absolutely have to deal with them. Never seen a company score so badly on Trustpilot. The Preston Family, Staffordshire.

Link Asset Management formerly Capita

In my experience this company are aggressive and underhand. My loan was bought by a vulture fund "Havbell" and managed by "Link Asset Services" and their predecessors "Capita". They spent 5 years trying to take me down by underhand means and trying to make me default on my loan. Be very careful of this company and their big boy bullying behaviours.

If only I’d read Trustpilot reviews.

Another victim here, a victim of incompetence & grindingly slow customer service. In my case it was my very first foray into share selling, I was willing to trust these people(link asset services) as my company listed them as their preferred seller. From this i realise they also don’t know the truth of it-they do now. I attempted to sell shares through LAS, 19 days later I was still waiting for the initial contract note, I continued to attempt clarification & support, at one point I was told a 2nd note would be sent out-but nothing. Eventually I was told I’d not actually sold them, really?. I will now approach another source probably my Bank as I am super cynical after this farrago. It actually hurts that this level of incompetence can trade as a professional company. This year really has been bad-then along came Link Asset Management to make it worse. Please be aware.

Link services provide an awful service…

Link services provide an awful service for the individual shareholder. You can only access one shareholding at a time rather than all your holdings administered by Link. Furthermore, they do not even aggregate together your holdings in the SAME company. You have to log in separately for each time a purchase of shares was made in the same company. They are simply not interested in the shareholders

A dreadful company FACT!

A dreadful company at doing what they say they will do. If you are prepared to get really bad customer service then go ahead & deal with these incompetent people. If you don't have to, give them a miss as you will get very frustrated at their total lack of any professionalism! A simple changeover of shares from my deceased father to me is proving to be impossible with Link Asset Services - a total waste of my time effort & money!!

Total liars and scammers/chances.

Held on to my money. I phoned and asked where my check was as it had been months since I filled in their paperwork to get my Thus shares.
They claimed the check had been sent and said it would be another £70 fee to reissue the check.
I told them I was contacting my solicitor at which point they said I should leave 21 days for the check to come due to the corona virus.
What do you know 2 days later the check turns up with a letter dated the day I phoned.

They are holding shares via…

They are holding shares via signalshares.com but you can't see your portfolio under one account but need to create as many accounts as you have companies invested in . On another platform, I get all the companies under one account.
Email left unanswered.
Pointless service for a company, which claim to have a philosophy of Service Excellence.
