I am still waiting for my package to…

I am still waiting for my package to be delivered by DHL. They did deliver a package which was left in my porch as I instructed, however it was not for me (its a mirror for a Mr Winstanley!) I have spoken to DHL and they say they will rectify this error but seem to be unable to give me a definite date and time to do this.!!!

Just to clarify the mirror delivery has nothing to do with Legend Fires. That’s a DHL mix-up with another customer.

However if you give us a call on 01254 695244 with your order details, we’ll speak directly to our DHL contact and get you a proper update on your parcel. We can usually get answers faster than their customer service.

Poor communication

Poor communication. The order hasn’t been delivered yet. Tracking app was wrong about delivery, and Legend Fires were unapologetic about it all. Not great whatever the delay was about.

We do rely on the courier’s tracking system for updates, but we also appreciate how frustrating it is when the information doesn’t match what actually happens. We’re reviewing how we manage delivery notifications to make sure we’re giving customers the clearest updates possible.

The items ordered were out of stock …

The items ordered were out of stock nobody told me for a week, while I had a customer waiting. Had a message that they would be delivered yesterday, they are still not here. So you've upset my customer, taken my money and not delivered the replacement coal bed. I'm supposed to be ordering a Vantage fire for another customer this week, but I'm not sure I dare.

We should have let you know straight away that the part was out of stock, and we can see how this would have caused a problem for you with your own customer. That’s not the level of service we want to give.

We’ve since tightened up how we flag stock issues internally so we can let customers know much sooner and avoid delays like this. 2 stars: After online purchase, we received no kind of receipt or even notification. We left it a week, and I rang to investigate. 1st person I spoke to acted as if nothing was wrong, telling me how busy they are, as if I'm supposed to know that. No sympathy, nor recognition; we eventually got an empty, corporate 'apology', but only after I prompted it. She promised to send us an email at least, with the details included, but this was never received. We were told our items would be sent one of two days. Because we received no email, I rang again, this time treated with greater competency and more respect, and we got that email at last. We were told, though, that a message would be sent on day of delivery, but it wasn't. Legend, in total, have had over £2000 out of us. NB. I've seen some of the pointed and defensive responses Legend posts in light of negative reviews. That, too, tells me of their unwillingness to treat *some* customers well. This is an honest review. Don't post a dishonest response.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this — even though it’s not easy to read. We clearly didn’t give you the experience you should expect from us, and I’m sorry for that.

You absolutely should have had a confirmation email straight away and updates without having to chase. Having to ring twice just to get basic info isn’t good enough, and I can totally see why that would have been frustrating.

Since then, we’ve tightened up how we send out order confirmations and delivery messages so this doesn’t happen again — and we’ve reminded the team that being busy is never an excuse for not looking after people properly.

I’m glad the second call went better, but it shouldn’t have taken that to get things right. If you’d like to chat about it more, you can drop me a line directly at jack.calvert@legend-fires.com — I’d genuinely like to make sure you feel looked after going forward.

Prompt service, nearly

My order was processed promptly and was very well packed when it arrived and in good condition. I would have given a 5 star rating but for the fact that the spares that I had ordered were listed as, " in stock", at the time of placing the order but they were not. This caused a delay in delivery.

No concerns using this company package arrived perfectly extra package in a box and another box to ensure items were protected
The items were available elsewhere BUT individually they would have been more expensive and also these are genuine parts from the company who made the fire not a cowboy supplier.
They were also very helpful when contacted
