My name is Adam Kearns and I have been a fully qualified carpenter for over 20 years and have worked in all aspects of the building trade. I used to build custom loft conversions and now am focusing my time on offering a more cost-effective option for extra space in the home. I design and build each summer house personally, and I oversee every aspect of the build and installations to ensure my high standards are met. I work with the customer to ensure that they get as much as possible within the space available and their financial budget. We aim to please and will do our best to make sure the customer is happy. We offer basic design’s or can even build completely custom designs to suit your needs. We source the best quality, pressure treated tanalisied timber to ensure the longevity of your summer house, so that you can enjoy your new space for as long as possible with minimal maintenance. I pride myself on using thicker, more substantial timber, for a stronger build. We use high quality flooring which allows for a stronger, sturdier base, and thicker cladding for the exterior. We can offer more bespoke builds using other cladding materials such as composite cladding or Cedar wood cladding, for a more exclusive look. While I oversee the building and installation process, my wife Rachel runs the office ensuring enquiries and quotes are dealt with and responded to as quickly as possible. Were on hand to offer advice, recommendations, and anything you require from ordering to installation. Fantastic service, advice and a great end result
Fantastic service and advice, every step of the way from Rachel, Adam and the team. I explored several options, all patiently and thoughtfully considered...nothing too much trouble. The scheduling of the installation was right on cue, we were kept informed every step of the way. On the day of the installation, the team arrived at 07.30 and literally built my Summerhouse pretty much from the ground up...finally finished early evening, never seen folks work so hard. The result is fantastic, really pleased with it, they even followed up with after-care advice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Garden Room
What can I say! Great service and a quality garden room.
Excellent right from the start, with the speed of communication, to the attention to detail of the build. We are over the moon with the garden room and can’t wait to start using it as a home office / chill out area.
If you are looking for a hand built quality garden room then we’d highly recommend these guys !

New fitness cardio cabin
On behalf of EP school, we would like to publicly thank the extremely hard and dedicated work Kearn gardens did for our new fitness room! The build quality is brilliant, the team were brilliant, the communication was brilliant and the pupils are extremely excited to have a new fitness suite to use after a very difficult year for everyone!
As this was the biggest project Kearns garden rooms have ever done, I think the craftsmanship and the finished article is a huge credit to your team!
Thank you very much on behalf of all the pupils and staff who will be enjoying their new gym for years to come.

Avoid.......
Was given a prompt quote in January which was within my budget then I wanted to upgrade after several weeks Adam said that he could not do so I resent in another request for a similar garden room size to the first one rather than quote Adam said he would come and see me.
Several weeks later and lots of ignored emails And still no site visit or quote! I tell Rachel that I am unhappy and feel like giving a bad review. Response was very defensive, argumentative and non apologetic instead tries to tell me off for sending an email at 1:30am in the morning, why that has anything to do with is beyond me!
Finally sends me another pointless email about how she has been in customer service for the past 15 years and then says that she is trying her best in times like these. Like what?? Your customer service sucks which has nothing to do with anything apart from how you decide to treat prospective clients.
This pointless exercise has cost me dearly in time with huge setbacks.
Total time wasters.

Firstly, I would like to apologise if you felt that in our recent correspondence I was defensive, argumentative, or non-apologetic. It can be hard to convey tone in an email, and I apologise if that's how you took this, it was certainly not intended this way. I was simply trying to address your issues. However I did apologise twice in our recent emails, which you failed to mention in your review.
Our correspondence has always been prompt and polite with you despite you changing your plans twice. You contacted us on 21st January requesting a quote for a large building. I provided a quote via email on 22nd January. You contacted us again on 23rd January and changed the specification of what you wanted from one large building to three large buildings with higher spec extras which was a lot more work. After going through your plans and speaking with you on the phone to confirm your requirements, I emailed you on 12th February to inform you that we didn’t feel we could quote for the new bigger plans as we felt that the specifications you wanted were not achievable within the budget you had. You then decided to change your plan again back to just one building, although larger than the original quote. It was at this point that we offered to do a site visit, which we do not normally do, to enable us to see your space and discuss your needs in person. As your ideas/plans had changed a few times it was the best way to ensure we get everything correct before quoting.
When we offered the site visit, we explained we were starting a large project on 22nd February that we had two weeks set aside for and that we would try to come and visit you during the second week (w/c 1st March) however we did not specify an actual date as we were unsure how long we would be on this project. You said that this was fine as you were in no rush.
You emailed us on 28th February to see if we were still coming to do a visit during the week and I did delay replying to this email by two days. As we had been held up on our current project, I was waiting to see how we had progressed before offering a specific date for the visit. I was planning to email you and explain that we would not be able to get to you as planned but to make alternative arrangements, possibly for the following weekend which would only have been a few days later. Unfortunately, before I had chance to do this you sent us a rather blunt email stating I was ignoring you and that you wanted to leave a bad review. As explained in my reply email, we had a member of our installation team off work for the entire previous week due to a family bereavement, which had delayed our progress. As we are only a small company, having a team member absent for an entire week unfortunately caused a delay that could not be foreseen or avoided.
We did not ignore ‘lots of emails’ as you state in your review. There was one email that we did not receive, which you kindly forwarded to us and we then responded to, and there was one email you sent us on 28th February that I delayed responding to by 2 days as explained above.
The pointless final email you refer to was not just to tell you about my previous customer service experience as your review alludes. In your review you fail to mention that this email actually listed the dates/details of all our correspondence which confirmed that we had in no way ignored you and had responded to each email, apart from the 2 day delay to your email of 28th February. I merely mentioned my previous experience to you as you said that I had very poor customer service skills and didn’t know what I was doing. I was simply pointing out that in fact I have lots of experience in customer service and have never had any issues previously. You failed to respond to this email and rather than replying and attempting to resolve the issues, you proceeded to post negative reviews on our Facebook and Trustpilot pages. Had you responded to my last email we may have been able to rectify the issue and proceed with your visit and quotation, which we were still prepared to do.
I would like to apologise again if you feel that we didn’t treat you appropriately as a potential customer, but I do not feel we wasted your time. When we offered a site visit, you said you were happy with this, and you did not raise any issue with regards the length of time at this point. We feel we have tried our best to work with you, and up until recently you had no issues with our service. As you said yourself, you were happy with the original quote, and understood when we could not accommodate the larger scale plans. The only issue seems to have arisen following our delay this week to visit you.
We hope you manage to find a company that are able to accommodate your requirements and that you are happy to work with. We wish you all the best in getting the your garden project completed.

Great service and great quality
I would like to thank you all again for the build you completed in my garden in December 2020. It has withstood some horrible weather this past month and has stayed feeling warm and cosy throughout. I have since had the room plastered and insulated, and it feels like an extension to my house. I am currently in here working from home now and it has made such a difference for me. I would recommend you all to anyone I speak to.
I will send you some pictures once the weather improves which does the build justice. I can’t wait to keep improving on it and it’s all thanks to your amazing company.

Fantastic service, don't hesitate!
After a long wait due to how busy Adam and his team were and the pandemic causing a delay we finally had our garden room installed yesterday. To say I am over the moon is an understatement, the service Adam, Reece and Rachel provided was first class, the guys on install and Rachel always answering all of my questions so promptly.
Adam and Reece started very early but for the first time they said they managed to build and insulate a structure with just the two of them and what an achievement it was. I couldn't be happier, it looks beautiful and will truly give our home that extra something special. I will now finally have my own office space! Anyone thinking to use their service, don't hesitate they truly are fantastic and so worth it.

Outstanding in all aspects!
My experience of Kearns Gardens was Outstanding from Day 1 of contacting them. When I was considering a Garden Room I contacted a few companies but I can honestly say that Kearns were the most helpful by a long stretch. I had many questions and nothing was ever too much trouble for them to answer, and they were always very quick coming back to me. Even when there was a slight delay in the product they offered me full deposit refund, which I am glad to say I declined, and was happy to wait. Their product certainly seemed superior, and I can certainly vouch for that now it has been built. Adam and his colleague were incredibly professional, and hard working to get it constructed in 1.5 days during the hottest 2 days of the summer! My wife and I are extremely happy with the end product as it far exceeded our expectations.
I could not recommend this Company more highly. They have been an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Keep up the Good Work!

If you want a garden room... look no further!
We heard about Kearns Garden Rooms through a referral & having now experienced the service Rachel and Adam provide it’s no surprise people are lining up to recommend them, I’m now desperate to share their details and refer people I know to them.
Firstly, the quality of the build is brilliant. We went for a 12 x 8 garden room, fully insulated and boarded out inside. Adam & team worked flat out to build on site in just two days. You could not meet a more friendly and professional team. The site was kept tidy and cleared down overnight.
Secondly, the communication from initial enquiry through to final invoice was brilliant and every message, no matter how trivial, was fully responded to by Rachel, in the same friendly and professional way.
Finally, the price is very competitive & terrific value.
The only question we were left asking was why we didn’t get a garden room years ago? Maybe because we hadn’t heard of Kearns Garden Rooms back then!

5 star service highly recommended
Adam and the team built us our amazing summer house and bar in our garden, we couldn't have asked for a better team to come into our home and provide us with such an amazing service from start to finish.
The time taken and workmanship that went into it was outstanding and I highly recommend them to anyone who is considering getting a garden room.
Watching the building transform before our eyes nothing was pre-built all work carried out on site with a superb finish nothing was to much for them.

We’ve just had our summer house installed. If you’re thinking of a garden office, gym, extra room or a posh doggie palace look no further. Trust me I searched nationwide. I struck gold when I came across these guys. Their customer service from start to finish has been 2nd to none. The quality is superb. Far better than we were expecting. The attention to detail & accommodating our requirements was fantastic.
The overall experience & finished product is awesome. We’re so so pleased. Honestly you’ll not be disappointed.
