We have a joules boiler in our new house. I wanted to find out how it works. In very simple terms how to use it. Ive never not had a combination boiler before and just want to understand the basics. They told me to call out a plumber so he can explain. It would only take a five minute conversation from somebody who Knows about them, but instead they can’t be bothered . I’m struggling with illness and a recent death and this would’ve just made my life a lot easier at the moment. They will sell you an expensive piece of equipment, but afterwards they don’t wanna know! Sad times. I’m really not impressed by the after customer support service.

150L Unvented cylinder only a year and half old started leaking from within the sealed unit, we had it confirmed by the engineer who fitted it that was a manufacturing issue and should be under warranty. Joule stated that since I don't have a service record its no longer falls under warranty and they can't help! I am now going to have to pay £1500 for a brand new tank! They didn't even seem interested in resolving an issue that is causing brand new tanks to leak, I didn't even get an apology for having an issue with their product. I've worked in the heating and vent industry as an engineer and have never came across a policy like this, I would recommend elsewhere.

Joule have been a valuable supplier of our company for many years & have always provided a quality service & products that you can rely upon. Would definitely recommend.

We have been installing Joule cylinders into properties that we have had to upgrade the heating systems, mostly off grid properties in Scotland and I can honestly say they are a really good company, the product is great no issues at all, 7yr warranty if your engineer has completed the required training (mine has) and on the odd occasion we do have a small issue the customers services team are more than helpful, I will continue to install these cylinders for the foreseeable, the price point is good for us too . 👍🏽

SHOP ELSEWHERE!
We ordered a cylinder through our supplier and there was an order mistake so we wanted to return the cylinder. Joule demand 30% restocking plus £75 + Vat for the courier. That amounted to over £200 on a £500-600 cylinder! We then ordered another cylinder due to it being like-4-like, no delivery yet and waiting for over 2 weeks, no notification from the courier etc etc. Chased this morning to be told that it is to be delivered tomorrow and a different courier is being used so no messages???. My supplier informed us that until yesterday, it hadn't yet been dispatched. The customer services are unapologetic, arrogant and ready to offload any problems down to the shop. We won't ever use Joule again down to bad service!!

Awful , rude and unhelpful company. Left us with a useless heat pump system when it’s freezing. Been chasing them up for months for a fix. Customer service is terrible. One of the customer service team called my wife a liar and is very aggressive. Very very poor company. Avoid avoid avoid

Joule air source cylinder lasted 20 hours before the PCB blew. Spanking new install. 5 months of chasing them, they eventually reply with:

"This is a standard cylinder installed on a private supply and as such would not be covered by a manufacturer's warranty as this has been installed outside of our guidance. As a result of this we cannot arrange for an engineer to attend and resolve the issues that you've been experiencing. Please accept my apologies."

Absolutely incredible. How this company is still in existance is beyond me. It's actually criminal.

This company is a joke, new built house, out of 80 houses almost 40 replaced this joule water cylinder in less then 1 year. Customare care usless. Avoid at any cost any of their products obviously poor quality.

Water cylinder leaking from PRV, manufacturer don’t want to take reaponsabilities.

Just had an air source system fitted and had to ring as I had a problem with short cycles.
I was very concerned after reading their reviews as to the service I would receive.
However it was superb !!
The guy I spoke to, Joel, was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable.
It seems he sorted the issue by advising me not to keep all the radiators switched off.
I’m very happy with everything so far. Any changes I’ll update 😊

Unvented cylinder less than 9 months old and not working. 2 year guarantee not worth the paper it's written on. Customer Care is a joke and needs renaming Customer NoCare. No hot water and not able to advise by phone and
no response to the email they asked me to send. Dreadful service. Go somewhere else for your heating/water appliances.

Installed air source heat pump 18 months ago - still not commissioned. Joule can always blame someone else and cover their backs. Why are builders still using this company?

We needed a new cylinder in 2017, I wanted to get a Megaflo but was persuaded to get the Joule. It was meant to last at least 25 years and has barely made 7 years. I contacted them via email and attached information pictures of the boiler and everything I had. Ellie replied ignoring everything I had already given and asked for it again. I pointed out that I have already supplied this information in the previous email and gave her answers to additional questions like it being connected to the mains. This was also ignored and I was asked to provide it again.

Considering I had sent pictures of this leaking, causing damage to our property, I was expected a less pedantic approach to a what is essentially minor details. There was no question that it is in warranty and an engineer should be sent out.

The cylinder is tight against the floor so not possible to catch the drips as I had shown in the photos I emailed but instead more time wasting from her causing more damage, very poor attitude. No customer care in sight.

I see their website is a shambles and is unavailable half the time. I would not buy anything from this company it looks like they're about to go out of business so any warranty is worthless.

Wish I could give less than one star. Indirect Unvented Storage Cylinder started leaking within 5 years. Company gave no support. Substandard product. Useless company. Do not even consider them is my advice!

I have complained until I am blue in the face about this company Joule UK. My hot water cylinder only lasted 40 months before it started leaking. No comeback because I hadn’t had it serviced, so the 25 year guarantee is useless. Is anyone interested in joining with me to take these people to court? The warranty issue is an unfair clause to get out of their duty to supply a product fit for purpose.

One star is too good for this company. Sold a faulty water cylinder, went through the warranty process to get replaced. 3 days now with no hot water. Promised delivery again and again, told lie after lie when call. Appalling customer service. AVOID THIS COMPANY

Same as everyone else here. Had plumbers fit a Stelflow cylinder - they recommended a more expensive brand but we went with Stelflow. Leaked and destroyed the ceiling below within about 8 months. Impossible to get hold of. Avoid.

Unicyl brand vented cylinder fitted in 2018, serviced in 2019 has completely disintegrated, Customer Services could not care less. Nasty cheap product. Avoid like the plague. Made by Joules UK. Who knows that you are supposed to service a cylinder every year, should be made much better. Paper thin steel, leaking through joints, Company have absolutely no interest. Other companies will not even insure these products as they are so poor.

Waited over a month for a cylinder and then they build the wrong one so go back to try again , wait another two weeks and they build the wrong one again !!! SHOCKING AVOID AND USE SOMEONE LIKE TELFORD MILES AHEAD

When a 250l water cylinder fails in less than three years and when you ask for the help the rep replies that because it hasn’t got a service history, the warranty is null and void you have to ask yourself ‘should anyone ever buy their products?’ After appalling unsympathetic and dismissive service I’d say buy from anyone but.

We moved into our house after it had been refurbished with a new hot water cylinder. Apparently, one should not expect that a basic water storage cylinder will just, you know, function. No, we were meant to read the Ts and Cs in the installation manual that we’ve never seen to say ‘service it every year’. Like you service ovens, kettles, baths, sinks every year.

The Consumer Rights act 2015 is pretty clear on ‘fit for purpose’. A qualified plumber came out and told us that the inner cylinder had failed. That’s the cylinder that is totally invisible and inaccessible. So put simply you buy from Joule at your risk. Unless you pay them to come and service something that’s in all my other houses ever has never needed servicing, because it’s a water tank, a dismissive rep will tell you that you are null and void.

Advice. Buy from a company that cares and makes decent products because Joule isn’t one of them.

Seems to me Joule have a manufacturing issue with the cylinders, like the last complaint. The fitting would not screw in & this was my 3rd in as many months. We did not get as far as fitting, as this was the first thing we tried when the cylinder turned up. Unfortunately they blamed Williams Trade for not checking this before they delivered. So we had to go back the next day at my cost to fit a Gledhill
