Insurte has been my go-to provider for Schengen and other visa travel insurance. Their policies always meet the strict embassy requirements perfectly. This time around, my travel plans changed unexpectedly and I had to request a cancellation. I was worried it would be a hassle, but their support staff was exceptionally professional and helpful. They handled the cancellation quickly and made the whole experience stress-free. It is rare to find an insurance company that is just as efficient with refunds as they are with sales!

Ridiculous request when attempting to cancel
After requesting to cancel my insurance (booked purely for a visa application), they asked me to write them a LETTER which they have already PRE-WRITTEN to cancel the insurance. What else should I do for you? Send it with a pigeon? Ridiculous attempt to rip people off and a massive waste of my time. I have bought insurance for visas from so many companies, never seen such medievalism before.

To make this simpler, we have recently created several support forms covering different types of requests, available through our Help Center: https://support.insurte.com/
For refund requests, the “Cancel my policy” form guides you through the required information and allows you to submit your request in the correct format in just a few clicks.
We would also like to clarify an important point regarding visa refusal refunds. Providing a 100% refund (without fees) in the event of a visa refusal is part of our commitments, subject to the applicable conditions and supporting documentation. This is not automatically offered by every travel insurance provider, so we believe it is important to highlight this commitment when comparing insurance solutions.
We remain committed to making the customer journey as simple and transparent as possible, and your feedback helps us identify where we can continue to improve.

I needed the EU insurance for my relative. The policy search and website navigations were super user-friendly. Unfortunately I had to cancel the plan the next day due to discrepancies on my relative’s part. The cancellation process was easy and straightforward. I recommend using Insurte and will consider them for my future needs.
