was going to buy a very expensive lamp until I was told to come here ! glad I did !!!!

I made an order on 7.04., nothing still arrived on 18.04.

I came on here to write a great review and was shocked to see such bad reviews as my experience with them has been great. There was an issue with the lamp that arrived however it was dealt with immediately and favourably. I would have no hesitation in using them again

Like many other reviews. Ordered several items and some (Bulbs were partly incorrect and not what was ordered) The most expensive item (Lamp) didn't arrive.
Phone number, doesn't answer and directs to online support. Used this several times and no reply. Taken money, but not delivered goods. Would steer well clear of ordering from this site.

I seem to be yet another customer dissatisfied in the companies returns policy and how little communication they give. We ordered a floor lamp which arrived in a massive box despite it being flat pack and needing to be fully assembled. The protective packaging was minimal which meant the lamp was damaged on arrival. Immediately went to see how to return the item but struggled to see how to raise a return. Emailed the company three times through the returns page yet still no response from the company. Just a shame as the lamp was really lovely just not paying nearly £200 for a lamp that’s damaged and unusable.

After reading some reviews on here I was worried and wanted to cancel my order
But after 6 days my delivery arrived... perfect packaging everything wrapped excellent
No import fee was given to me
Yes it came with plug adaptor but I'm so happy with the lamp
I will 100% use this company again

Ordered x2 hanging lights. Bulbs arrived a few weeks later, however metal bars the most important part didn’t arrive. Tried to contact customer service, no response. Paid import vat about £68, but not received full product. Awful. Avoid.

Ordered an expensive box light from Illumination.co.uk. It took 3 months to arrive and arrived completely broken… it’s just a wooden box with a cheap electrical housing nailed to the box, which has completely come off before even arriving. Listed as free postage, got an import fee of an additional £50…

For almost £300 a disgraceful product with terrible and brief communications from the seller.

Just recently ordered floor lamp, waited one week to arrive from Germany to UK and then another week to get it delivered to me.
I would never order anything from them, simply because of delivery company they work with " parcel force". They did attempts each day at the same time, mid day, when most people are at work. Despite the fact that we contacted them twice and asked them to leave it with neighbours, they didn't do it and continued to bring item while we not at home.
Delivery is paid separately on top of the price and if you want to choose specific time or day so you got to pay even more...
I can't be bother to have any business with them... don't recommend!
P.S all lamps has european plug with no adapter and description does not mention that.

Update on previous review.
The second light fitting has arrived 6 weeks from initial order. I had to pay duty of £61.70 to receive the parcel!
The light fittings were well packaged and seem in good order. The light bulbs that I purchased were mostly broken, but I will be able to get some locally.
In summary:- The light fittings look great and (in my opinion) seem to be good value. Down side:- The communications are non-existent. By the time I replace the broken bulbs and have paid the duty I will have spent approximately £140.00 over and above the original order.
So, we return to the original question. Are you willing to take the risk?

Ordered a light on 3rd jan and took the money right away , waited and then cancelled order on 15th as no communication , they said refund processed and now on the 27th and no refund .. avoid at all cost .. also not based in the uk but abroad ..

Ordered a product in december, very limited communication. No indication or shipping time was given despite using their contact form to request. Item arrived damaged on 14 Jan. Have made 3 attempts to communicate with them through the portal they refer you too with no response in over 10 days. Have now resorted to credit company for charge back. AVOID AT ALL COST

Ordered 2 sets of 4 pendant lights. Arrived with 2 smashed pendants. Sent an email asking if they could send 2 replacements. Paid for them on 23rd December. From which point they claimed they couldn’t find my payment and I had to send proof 4 times. 6th January they said I would receive confirmation on dispatch. Since then no response to emails or via their contact form on their websites. It’s such a shame as their products are lovely. I would advise everyone to avoid them as yes they are a German company pretending to be from the Uk.

Ordered lights from Illumination.co.uk which presents as UK company, actually company is German based Hofstein gmbh. Delivery took nearly 3 weeks and was poorly packaged with some items missing. The other items in the order were the wrong ones. I also had one parcel withheld and received customs import taxes of over £100 on a £300 order when their website states that import duties are paid by them. Customer service line is a recorded message and their email contact portal took several days to respond and advised items sent were as ordered despite sending them evidence to the contrary. Shocking service, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

The company is based in Germany and selling products made in China. I've bought a 4 pendant light with bamboo rail. The rail after 6 month split in half just like that, I've noticed that recently. I already sent 2 claim as it should be on warranty and no answer, there is no phone number to call. DO NOT BUY ON THIS SITE!

We have purchased 4x large bubble chandelier.
Tracking process was quite simple, however you need to translate your page from German language.
When it arrived at UK depot we received a letter with 65 £ import charges to pay which I did.
2 days later parcel has arrived.
All items in unbroken condition!:)and looked great before festive season.

I have contacted help team explaining the fee problem and money were transferred within 3 days.

Having searched for the right lighting I ordered 2 relatively expensive pendants from illumination.co.uk. That was 6 weeks ago and they have taken my money and run. I have sent several messages via their online contact form( the only way to contact them as the ☎️ no. they have gets you an automated msg saying calls aren't taken!) I'm really upset that I've been scammed. I dont know if the business has gone bust or they are purely scammers. I don't have the lights that I was looking forward to putting up and I'm out of pocket by alot of money. I will now have to try and get my money back. What an awful experience.

I was initially skeptical about purchasing from this company due to the reviews, but the item was both beautiful and affordable, so I decided to take the risk. Although it took about three weeks to arrive, I’m thrilled with the quality and appearance of the product. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience and this company.

Paid for table lamp, floor lamp and accessories. Incorrect accessories and table lamparrived nearly 3 weeks ago.
No sign of floor lamp and will not respond to emails or automated complaints process. Avoid!!!!
