It was just a blatant upsell, rather than an easy registering of applicance. Having commissioned based staff dealing with it, is not a good experience.. couldn’t say no thank you enough times.

Repair of the oven, not reaching temperature
The engineer arrived on time. He was very efficient and talked me through what he had done. His initial thought was that the problem was the element on the oven and he proceeded to replace the master board. Initial tests seemed to show that the problem was solved. However I came to use the oven today and the original problem has returned.

Lave-vaisselle HOTPOINT qui ne sèche pas la vaisselle…
Nous sommes obligés d’essuyer la vaisselle à la fin du cycle !
Les parois et le fond sont plein d’eau
Ce lave-vaisselle est garanti 2 ans, il est dans une résidence secondaire, nous avons dû nous en servir seulement une dizaine de fois.
Suite à notre demande d’intervention technique au SAV un technicien est venu à 3 reprises constaté le problème avec aucune solution de réparation.
La réponse du service après-vente HOTPOINT après de longs mois d’attente, c’est normal votre lave-vaisselle n’a aucun problème !
Trop facile de balayer le client alors que le lave-vaisselle est NEUF et garanti 2 ans !!!
Je leur ai demandé un écrit du compte rendu avec leurs conclusions et bien entendu ils me disent que ce sont des documents interne.
Je ne vais pas en rester là
Donc pour ceux qui cherchent un avis : A FUIR….

The appliance that we purchased came with an extended 5 year warranty labour and 10 year parts, when registered it came up with a 1 year parts and labour warranty.
I spent hours on the phone to Hotpoint and Curry's, I even went to the store who advised me to call Hotpoint as it was nothing to do with them.
Eventually i spoke with a lady who kindly sent me a link to claim the extended warranty which initially no knew anything about.

a good warranty…
as I appreciate the warranty being good I would have given 5 star, but didn't really appreciate feeling that I was being pressurised into paying for additional cover for labour

Eventually got there!!….. or so I thought!
Took a long time going through the automated processes and to eventually get to speak to a ‘human’ and I almost gave up, but once contact was made the members of staff was very helpful.
Further update: 13/7/26 the Engineer was due this morning and I received all the info from Hotpoint including that he was on the way. Within a short period, a further text was received to say that the visit had been aborted. I then had to spend 50 minutes trying to speak to someone to have the situation clarified. Transpires that he couldn’t get a parking space so abandoned his visit, with no contact despite having a number to call. I now have to wait ANOTHER week, which is extremely unsatisfactory and the opposite of the service I had hoped for! Let’s see what happens next week
