I booked an AirBNB for two nights on the app.
*During check-in they could not find my confirmation number.
*I never received an email from the Host
*The room looked nothing as advertised
*The blinds were broken, letting in morning light
*The mirror in the bathroom was off its hinge
*The bathtub armrest was broken and when I held on to it, I slipped.
I just wanted to let the host know of these issues. Unfortunately after 2 hours on the app "waiting" for someone to assist me, they closed the chat.
While Hopper is great with finding prices, it lacks in customer service when something goes wrong.
I will be deleting the app and using another booking service.

I booked a hotel on the app like normal. When I showed up the hotel did not exist anymore. The hotel had changed owners and name. I figured I would be able to switch hotels at least but no. There was no record of my stay and they would not give me my money back because of the “no refund” policy. Even though I didn’t even book an existing place and they still took my money. Hello,
Hopper has refused to provide a refund for a flight that was changed without my consent. This is unacceptable and violates DOT regulations.
Let me be very clear:
Under the U.S. Department of Transportation Enforcement Notice on Refunds and 14 CFR § 259.5, any significant schedule change initiated by an airline or travel agency entitles the passenger to a refund regardless of fare class. Hopper, as the booking agent, is legally responsible for facilitating this resolution.
I did not authorize the schedule change, and the modified itinerary materially alters my travel plans. Hopper is required to either:
Provide a full refund,
OR
Offer a comparable rebooking at no additional cost.
Your refusal to process the refund is a violation of federal consumer protection rules.
If this is not corrected immediately, I will proceed with the following:
Filing a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation,
Filing a chargeback with my credit card company for services not rendered,
Submitting a case to my state’s Attorney General,
Documenting Hopper’s refusal across consumer protection platforms.
Please escalate this to a supervisor or specialist team member. I expect a resolution now.

Was my 1st and last experience with this irresponsible and unreliable company. Booked 5 return tickets with them for Chengdu. Later realised that the name I key in could be wrongly place and try calling them to make sure. I had call Thaiairways.com and email them. The reply from their email is that I need to get my agent to make the changes. I had a hard time getting this information through to Hopper as the Indian who don't seem understand what's wrong and keep sending me confirmation email of my booking saying that my tickets do not have any issues. I then wrote an email to them with all our passport details for confirmation that all the names on the tickets were in place, however I didn't get any response back. I try calling them again and requested a confirmation email from the email I have send. Same thing happened, I was send the same email again without replying from the email I have send. Finally I try again the next day another lady finally understand and reply my email and confriming that my tickets's name were all in place.
The morning we arrived at the airport we were not able to do so. The staff at the check in counter then inform us that the name was wrong and we need to have it amended. When I call Hopper about this they finally realise that issues and agree to help to rise the issue up and apply for a refund which never happen saying that the Thaiairlines charge for changing names even if they have do it earlier.
My mum is 80yrs old with wheelchair and under medication for high blood pressure.
We ended up paying for amendment for the names and also having to rush through the immigration and in anxiety of missing the flight and our whole holiday tour.
I do not recommend Hopper to anyone and would advise people not use Hopper at all.

Don’t ever put a price freeze you’ll never get your money back and your reservation won’t go through. customer service stinks as well very confusing app they should ban this app. I’m not sure but I feel this app is a scam.

Booked a 3 day hotel stay using the app in NZ$. They then charged me in US$ for the same numeric amount advertised in NZ $. Which means I’ve paid almost double the price. Having supplied proof to them of their crooked error they refused to reimburse me the over charge after 90 minutes of talking to customer service.

Avoid at all cost.
I was quoted $530 for a return ticket but charged $1381 for two people.
When you call in for support, even when my ticket is not issued, all arrows pointed to contact the airline directly.

After I submitted my review on Trustpilot, Hoopers finally responded. However, they maintained that there were no issues with my flight and that all flights were on track, despite the fact that my original flight from Florence to Rome was cancelled and rescheduled, making it impossible for me to catch my connecting flight from Rome to Bucharest.
Instead of managing the rebooking on my behalf, I was instructed to purchase another flight to my final destination, with the assurance that the expense would be refunded. To date, no refund has been issued, despite my multiple follow-up attempts. As a result of the cancellation and poor handling of the situation, I was stranded at the airport for over 12 hours.
I am formally requesting a full refund as promised, along with a written apology for the significant inconvenience and distress caused by this experience.

BEWARE OF USING HOPPER . THERE APPEARS TO BE A LOT OF HIDDEN INFORMATION:: I used Hopper to rent a car for my daughter at Charlotte Airport. Using the app, I wanted to pick up the car at CLT and return it next day at Athens, Ga Airport. It showed the pickup point at the airport. When she went to pick it up at Budget, she was told it was quite a ways off the airport and there was no shuttle to it, but if she wanted to upgrade their were vehicles at the airport. Apparently if you serched further down on more screens it showed a map of pickup location, but the original page clearly stated Airport on site.
In my opinion this is a bait and switch tactic. I called and spoke with a rep ( Sounded like Pakistani or Indian) and got nowhere with them. So I am writing this so that no one else is misled

Absolutely the worst. Have been trying to get issues solved with a flight cancellation that I was never informed of as Hopper provides the wrong email address to airline. Hopper admired to to their wrong doing but will still not reimburse me for the flights I paid for to get home as they were no cooperative to get new flights home from half a world away. Their call centre is garbage and have no one there willing to help or return calls as promised. When asked to reply to an email the reply emails relapse is to an email that is not monitored. They absolutely do not care about their clients. There is nothing good about this company and their service.i have provided my confirmation code separately as part of this review so maybe someone that cares about his company may contact me directly and not let this go any longer.

I need to adjust my booking and their phone number has had technical issues for 3 days .. could be much longer … so I cannot speak to anyone except an AI bot who goes in circles . The bot tells me to talk to airline and airlines tell me to talk to Hopper!
I’ve basically lost my whole airfare.
Never ever use Hopper!!!!!!!
Update: Note the response below has not heard what I said. The phone numbers are not answering from Australia. With help from someone in USA we did get through. And they took concern and 24 hrs later came back with change of date not change of destination as needed! Still waiting for resolution.
Further update:2 appeals and no they do not care and we loose the value of 2 return airfares. Appalling.

We missed a connecting flight booked through Hopper. We were aware the flight would be missed the night before and contacted customer service. We were directed to take the first flight and then rebook a connecting flight through the “rebooking portal” on the app.
Well when we arrived the rebooking portal did not work on the app or on the website. When we called customer service we were left on hold for over 2 hours with the automated message telling us there was still 2 hours left before we would get through (that number had also been increasing since we started the call). With absolutely 0 option of getting help from Hopper we were left to book a flight on our own in order to get home for over $900.
We spent another 2 hours on the phone with Hopper after initially being told multiple times we would receive a call back and never did, only for Hopper to tell us there was nothing they could do. After being pushed up the chain and having multiple representatives lie about not seeing any of my calls on that day, they still refused to reimburse any of the new connecting flight even though there was no way to contact them on that day.
Please never use this company to book anything, pay more money for a better service with better customer service.

Muy mala experiencia, no usen esta app, me siento estafada. El viernes 17 de Octubre hice una compra de un tiquete con mi tarjeta de crédito y me salió un mensaje que decía "este tiquete ya no está disponible" NO ME LLEGO NINGUNA CONFIRMACIÓN, NO TENGO CÓDIGO pero se realizó el cobro en mi tarjeta, me llegó el mensaje del banco enseguida y ya esta cargado el cobro. A pesar que fui al banco a anular la transacción me comentan que es con HOPPER que s debe hacer la solicitud de reembolso, para tan mala suerte que es IMPOSIBLE la comunicación con esta empresa, las llamadas solo en ingles y francés y dicen que por chat pero tampoco es posible porque sólo atiene un bot y cuando le solicito un agente humano no le conectan, llevo 5 días en esta odisea con temor de perder casi 300 mil pesos. Si alguien conoce la forma de poder contactar y que mi dinero sea reembolsado, le agradezco su ayuda. Tengo soporte de la transacción que me dieron en el banco.

If you want nauseating stress 24 hours before travel book with Hoppa.
I booked for 12 people and luggage (12 suitcases and 12 smaller bags). Dubai to Yas island. They subcontracted to Elife. 24 hours before arrival I’m sent the travel voucher which had a reduced luggage allowance. Then it got worse - the driver texted to confirm arrangements and informed me that 12 included the driver and no luggage or 9 with luggage. 14 conversations with driver / elife / hoppa. And no change of vehicle or driver. They escalated it up the system.
This morning I’m told it will be fine. But it’s the same vehicle !! Oh - did I mention the $70 extra in cash direct to driver to bring a 2nd vehicle for the luggage that the driver texted me at the beginning of this drama ???
Still don’t understand how this will be fine tomorrow when I land if the vehicle hasn’t been changed. 🤞🏽

I purchased cancellation insurance with my flight and have not been able to cancel/get our money back! Hopper, the so-called insurance carrier, has given me 3 different types of refund information and each time they say their policy has changed and they are now asking for personal banking information which I absolutely will not provide. We are now having to go through our credit card provider to report this as a scam.
Budget Air and Hopper are a SCAM!!

First off, I see a value in Hopper as a reasearch tool. However, I would not recommend using them for booking anything as they are totally inflexible. My wife and I booked a flight with them. We discovered we needed to take a later flight on our return home. We even knew the later flight we wanted to take. It was also with the same airline and had available seats. Hopper refused to help. The later flight was to a layover destination, so we asked for them just to change that. They wouldn't, insisting we rebook then entire flight at around 2k! If we didn't like that, we were recommended to call the airline directly. We did, and they said we would be able to do this. However, because Hopper was holding our reservation, they were unable to help until Hopper released the reservation, which they won't do until 24 hrs. before the flight. So, in essence, we are now forced to gamble our our trip home, hoping for availability directly from the airline the day before we leave. This is going to make it difficult to enjoy our vacation worry free.
Again, Hopper is a good resource for research. But I would highly recommend you DO NOT book through them. If you do, you risk being trapped.

ZERO STARTS! DONT USE HOPPER! Hopper is NOT safe. My aunt was nearly kidnapped by a driver. From the moment she got in the car, he made marriage comments, saying she was perfect for him. He then canceled the trip and tried to take her elsewhere, insisting they should marry immediately and that she shouldn’t go home. He grabbed her by the arm, forced her to sit in the front, and continued making threatening comments. She had to carefully trick him just to get home safely. Please think twice before using this app—it can be extremely dangerous.

I booked a trip and they never sent confirmation. When I called, there was no clear way to get through if you only have the charge card receipt for the booking. It took an hour to get the basic information about the flight, and they aren't giving me the "reward dollars" because somehow even though I booked through the app, it was under a guest account. Never again.
