Never ever again dirty hotel dirty rooms vomitt stains bed side table floor never been cleaned shower head been full of mould nappies on the floor by the pool so many things but we not coming bk they... Se mere

This is not a confirmed holiday they only confirm flights. They then call you to tell to you the holiday is more expensive.

Hello Sabrina Muir, thank you for your review. We regret that you were unaware of our booking process since it is clearly described in the terms and conditions you ticked to say you accepted apply. For the benefit of the review readers, Firstly and in order to explain, whilst our booking system relies on live feeds from our suppliers, brokers and airlines we are unfortunately not in control of momentary price changes, fluctuations or changes in availability provided by the same and whilst the vast majority of bookings will be confirmed without issue, we, along with many other well-known Tour Operators in the market cannot be held responsible whereby these changes affect our ability to confirm travel arrangements. In your case we can see this is exactly what happened. When you make a booking with us and prior to the point of actually confirming the arrangements for you, we “ring fence” the amount from your payment method although, and critically, we do not debit your payment type and it is only held within your account until the point of us confirming your chosen arrangement and ourselves obtaining the relevant confirmation codes from our suppliers, brokers and airlines. Should we not be able to confirm your arrangements, your order is assigned to one of our sales agents who will then investigate and try their utmost to provide you with identical or near-matched arrangements and we will offer this to you. It is then up to yourself to proceed or not, with the new arrangements. If you do not wish to proceed, we cancel your order down and release the “ring fence” amount for you. We also note in your case, you decided to proceed with the alternative and your payment type was therefore debited. Please note, our sales agent will always try to obtain the same, similar or cheaper pricing for any alternative arrangements found however, this may not be possible as once again, we are simply not in control of pricing, yield changes and availability of our suppliers, brokers and airlines. At all times, we work within strict company guidelines and always with your interests at heart. Great customer service!!!

Just returned from my package holiday to Calla Millor, Mallorca, booked thought Holiday Gems. I found them to offer fantastic customer service, at a very fair price. All went well, and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. They called me back once booked to confirm everything which was appreciated.
They sorted out for me alterative flights to my chosen airport when my original one was cancelled, very easily and quickly. I would highly recommend them, and would use them again when booking my next holiday abroad.

Do not book with these!!

Do not book with these!!! I booked a last minute holiday with a pice then they rang up and said we need to pay more, whatever we paid it. We had a free shuttle service. When we arrive at dalaman airport the shuttle had gone due to the flights being delayed- fair enough but I didn’t have no contact no one warning just got left. I rang holiday gems they said we’ll send u a refund letter for the £60 private transfer I had to pay. Never got that - absolutely awful service they do not take accountability for the wrongs they’re doing to their customer. Do not book with these much better agents out there. Absolutely appalling services

We regret to hear that your flight was delayed resulting in the missed transfer, however your Travel Vouchers & Tickets does provide the contact details and process you need to follow in such circumstances. This appears to have been overlooked by you. You have been informed of the formal complaint policy and until you follow that, we cannot address the issue. It will upon receipt be fully investigated as always.

Speedy call from Sam after booking.

Telephone call received from Sam at Holiday Gems within half an hour of making my booking- she was pleasant and helpful- she had to advise the price had gone up a bit- quite a shock for me- I explained that I had been comparing against other providers and she went to her manager and got the increase reduced quickly and acceptable.
Turning an awkward situation into something good.

I cannot recommend Holiday Gems highly…

I cannot recommend Holiday Gems highly enough.
Having never used this company, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was nice to be pleasantly surprised with the ease of their web site, a follow up with phone calls with an actual human, emails, general efficiency and all round niceness.

Easy website to choose Holiday Package…

Easy website to choose Holiday Package options and add ons.
Only thing that let it down was once booked and paid for got phone calls, e-mails and voicemail from Holiday Gems representative the next day requesting another 78 pounds - refused and asked for money back to re-book with another company. Then Manager contacted and extra fee was retracted !!!!

Absolutely horrendous

Absolutely horrendous!
The hotel we booked was nothing like the pictures. We booked with a baby as well. The hotel had no lift and we were expected to carry the baby and prams up and down 5 flights of stairs. There were no rooms on the floor of receptions all rooms were accessible by going down 5 flights of stairs. So even if requested they would not of been able to accommodate. The room had loose wiring and bed bugs.
Holiday gems representatives were EXTREMELY rude and there was no bed for the baby - the room had 2 toddler beds pushed together. When I said to holiday gems its unsafe to co sleep with a baby under 1 they responded "you're not in the UK so you dont need to follow uk guidelines"
Refused to give me my money back. Was suppose to get a refund of unused night and nearly 3 months later i still have not recieved the refund. Id never book through them again.

Hello Jazmine, thank you for your review. It is disappointing to learn that your holiday was not as expected. However, our team has responded to your formal complaint and that the lift specifically was not advertised as being included yet you did not request a low floor at the property which clearly stated upper floors were only accessible by stairs. The photos of the property also suggested there would be many stairs as access. The crib request was made but it is not guaranteed, and we do cover that in our terms you accepted. We do not find that our representatives were rude, but it is a fact that standards abroad are not necessarily them same as UK. We regret your misunderstanding that a double room does not indicate a double bed, only double occupancy. We received no request for a double bed in your online booking. It is factually incorrect that you have had no refund, you left the property without giving the hotel opportunity to resolve this, but they have refunded unused nights which we pass on in full.

Booked a holiday online to Morocco.
2 days later they called to say the price had gone up by £140, so we need to pay this extra now. They said it was due to room availability.
So why did they let us book it at the original price in the first place?
This feels like a scam holiday company to me, making it appear cheaper than say love holidays, then putting up the price after booking.

We have cancelled the holiday with holiday gems and will book a holiday now with a different company.

Time wasting and very annoying!!!
