Bought a hitachi Tv in Argos 16months ago and it suddenly stopped working. Screen stopped working. It’s a big scam with hitachi tvs and argos… be careful do not buy hitachi

Only had TV about 15 months and its broken, no help from Argos, read more reviews.
Only had TV about 15 - 16 months , not used loads so hence very disappointed that the TV is no longer working, when it comes on there is a line going across the screen, tried all the reset options, but don't work.
I have called and spoken to Argos and have been told, its broken , repair it or buy a new one, no offer to even inspect.
This was a Hitachi 58 Inch 58HK6200U Smart 4K UHD HDR LED Freeview TV and I wish I had done my homework more as this seems to be a BIG problem with them.....
I have not even had the offer to inspect the TV
I wont be using Argos again if this is their attitude

I bought a hitachi 58" smart tv argos just over a year ago. 7 months after purchase had lines and tv picture split into 2. I got an exchange for another tv the same. Now just over the guarantee time and I now have tv screen doing things by itself and half the screen has a source list on it. Lucky I have my own insurance on it. Will either get it repaired or new tv, but not the same make. Hitachi need to take a look at these tvs as there's definitely something wrong with them. I won't be buying anything else made by hitachi.

Too bad zero is not an option. The worst tv ever. Bought 58 inch hitachi tv from argos. After 1 day the tv wont turn on, black screen. Argos replaced with another hitachi tv which lasted 13 months untill broke down, screen went black with white stripes lines. I wish i read more reviews not only what argos published. Shame that these tvs are still for sale.

The Hitachi nightmare....
Ho acquistato un a smart TV Hitachi (modello 24HAE2350). Sto maledicendo il momento in cui l'ho fatto : lentissimo nell'accensione, menù semi incomprensibile (non ho mai avuto problemi con altri televisori), telecomando con tasti old style, a volte non riceve i comandi e da solo esce dalla modalità TV per passare in smart...che altro ? Ho avuto la tentazione di dargli una martellata (vera non metaforica) ed ora sto cercando un ottimo ricondizionato (Samsung o LG) per buttare nel cesso sta "ciofeca". Mai più Hitachi. Aggiornamento del 17/07 : il momento della martellata è sempre più vicino. Non ho più parole per descrivere l'infima qualità di questo oggetto maledetto. Ma Hitachi non si vergogna a mettere sul mercato simili schifezze ?

Do not buy anything hitachi they are absolute rubbish bought a 58 inch smart tv lasted until just over the 12 month warrany and the screen went black then to white after 5 mins but still had sound, we called hitachi technical they basically said there was nothing they can do they know they are poor quality but just keep dropping there prices to get rid of them, please read this the reviews before buying yes they are cheap but made in china so are just built to last the warranty then scrap, i'm going to spread the word all over social media to save your money buy a branded tv way better built, japanese products are the best until you let cheap chinese labour and inferior parts into the mix shame on you hitachi

Got this tv as a Christmas present from my son,daughter inlaw and my daughter and son inlaw 2021 not even a year and half years old and lines appeared got sound and the went blank nothing at all not happy 😑.

Bought a 58inch hatchi smart tv from argos and it's lasted 3months. Like others I got passed about on the phone for 45mins to get told theres nothing I can do. So I checked how much a t-con oard is for the size tv...its cheaper to get a brand new one as only certain companys will attempt to sort it. Even then its not guaranteed to work...dont buy hatchi it's absolutely rubbish. I had a cello tv 55inch before and it lasted 5yrs before it started to go. Regret buying this hatchi. So had to pend another 400 on a techwood that's got good reviews and a guarantee on it for 2yrsddont use argos or hatchi

I bought a
Hitachi 58 Inch Smart 4K UHD LED TV with HDR from Argos. After 2 years the picture has completely gone, only sound. I think them are all faulty. Do not buy.They should all be recalled and either exchanged or money back.
Disgusted with this tv
I bought a hitachi 50 inch tv from Argos less than 18 months ago. It now has a flickering vertical line across the screen. Did the reset but to no avail. Contacted Argos who would not help as it is out of warranty. I am disgusted. £379 for a tv that lasts less than a year and a half. All my other tvs such as Toshiba and LG have lasted years. I will never buy another hitachi and certainly not from Argos.
