Very disappointed with tv and service

Very disappointed with tv and service. A new TV, one week old, and the remote for the dvd does not work. A telephone call to Hitachi service fixed this problem by altering settings. Two days later nothing on the remote worked unless you switched the TV off at the wall socket. Then it worked until the TV was switched off by the remote. Again had to switch off at the wall. Another phone call. It needs the software upgrading. I will send you a USB stick to do this. That was Tuesday, still not received it. In the meantime the TV sits idle. So for a week no TV. These tv's are not fit for purpose.

Decent TV for picture features and…

Decent TV for picture features and sound But just poor quality. The screen was going grey and had to keep turning it off and on again to get a picture. No thanks!

These cheap Turkish/Chinese made TVs buy famous brands and then hype their spec, but this budget range cant deliver much on the top end specs anyway. They should cut the misleading spec and invest a little more in quality control so the sets actually last and work ok.

I returned it and spent an extra 50 quid for a lower range LG which works perfectly.

Cheapest quality tvs

Cheapest quality tvs. Hitachi tvs are are the worst and they are manufactured by a cheap Turkish company, not Japanese Hitachi. We don't buy tvs every day and we expect them to last for at least a few years. Our both tvs broke down within 3 months.Argos UK should be ashamed of being a part of this cheap tvs scam and stop selling Hitachi tvs.

Please never buy these tvs,spend £50 extra and get LG, Philips or Toshiba.

TV just turns itself off whenever it…

TV just turns itself off whenever it feels like it. TV has been very temperamental from day one. Turns itself off and resets and freezes randomly. A bit of a pain to use and I’m kind of looking forward to it stopping working so I can replace it with a more reliable brand.

Bought a 47" Hitachi smart TV from…

Bought a 47" Hitachi smart TV from argos in 2017 first thing I noticed when removing it from the box was that the screen was moving felt cheap. Set it up the picture was OK however the sound was awful really tinny so invested in a soundbar which helped but its still going so can't complain

Scarks they will constantly ask for more money and more or they will damage your credit score so I decide to pay buy hoping it will end soon.

Because after I waited 2hrs on the phone to speak to an Advisor for having a settlement figure as I couldn't log on the side and I ask to be re-activated to the side as I haven't use for a wile I checked the amount was the same and the advisor told me as I ask if I paid in full a month later would I use the settlement figure show on the side so it mean pay in full and not wait another 2hrs? He told me yes would be the exact total amount up to date. I did pay in full a month later as already ask, the settlement figure it was show by log in Internet and pay the full amount and I receive the Email of Account status: Paid in full subject to the clearance of all payments made, please retain this notice for future reference subject to the clearance of all payments made, you can now cancel your direct debit with your bank. I did cancel my D/D But sadly wasn't the case you Email me as you are unable to collect the direct debit as wasn't pay in full, I called back and ask for an explanation as I thought I paid you in full the Advisor was argue about bla bla bla and he had excuses for everything, on my calculation it mean you over charge me of 70 pound for not reason ! I been used you for 17 years I wont use ever again as the advisor won't lessen to my reasons I had all things recorded screen shot and vary Emails and wasn't not a way to try to win an argument as He wasn't lessen to mine I even had prove I was correct with my explanation. Never mind they're loss

Worst sound ever on a tv

Worst sound ever on a tv, up to 100%and still muffled, definately not my hearung as i have an older lg in bedroom and can hear it on a 5%🙄

Also of late have experience black screen having to unplug tv take ariel out start again.. Not acceptable :(

Hitachi 55” smart TV

Hitachi 55” smart TV. This is the worse tv I’ve ever owned. It turns itself off nearly every night. It locks up when using Netflix or YouTube. The only way it can be reset is to remove the plug from the power supply. The lowest sound setting is too hard to hear and the second lowest is to loud. I expect this TV to blow up any day. It is about 1 year old but has been playing up from day one. Trying to get warranty from the store I bought it from is impossible. Avoid this TV.

Hitachi - Financial Thiefs!!!!!

Hitachi have no customer service, they support business who like to rip off consumers and then hide behind the financial agreement without taking into consideration consumer law. This should be a warning to all consumers, if they use Hitachi they and the suppliers are rogue. Despicable service.

Hitachi 50inch smart tv bought dec 2019,wifi internet wont work tried to reset router,tried to reset tv nothing ,minus rating needed so makers can get there finger out,UPDATE DEC 2020-sound on HD sometimes works sometimes not, giude the same a hit or miss if it works when it wants too -a whole piece of crap .......

Not happy with hitachi

Bought a Hitachi smart tv about 18 months ago. In the first month it was taken away for repair because it was not picking up the internet. Told it was a faulty part. The exact same thing has happened again. Got no response from hitachi

Don't buy this

Bought this tv for the kitchen. Initially it appeared flimsy we haven't bought a tv for a while so thought this was normal. It would not connect to the wifi despite resetting several times. Gradually it began to turn itself off it stayed off a couple of minutes then turned itself back on. After seven episodes of the on/off in one hour we returned it. On the advice of the assistant in argoswe bought an LG. No further problems. Would not recommend this poor product

TV should last more than 2 years!

Bought an Hitachi 50" HD TV 2 years ago from Argos.
Picture suddenly started going with red lines down the screen. Now fully red/orange screen, so completely useless.
Contacted Hitachi and Argos, but no one is replying.
Definitely sticking with Samsung/Panasonic as both have lasted over 10 years!

I do not get that negative reviews…

I do not get that negative reviews anyway, I do see something like that was being done with that matter anyway. IT's a great Japan company with everything being done there if needed and done correctly. Maybe they are out of business a bit for that matter anyway cause of China a bit.
