I rented Chevrolet Trax in Miami . I get flat tire. Since 21.30 i wait die Service To Chance tire with my 2 children. Now it IS 00:44 Clock in the Morning. We still wait and nobodoy come. Everytime you call .. yes in 1 our you get Service and nobodoy will call you back. I think i will wait All Night without Service.

Car rental can be painful but Hertz helped me every step of the way. They made sure that the available cars within my booking class suited my needs. They were thoughtful and attentive with the child seat and accessories I ordered, and the communications were streamlined and efficient. I look forward to booking directly with Hertz Switzerland again.

Wir haben für unseren Roadtrip durch Schweden ein Auto von Hertz gemietet. Während der Reise haben wir eine Parkbusse von 700 SEK bekommen. Auf dem Busszettel stand explizit, dass die Busse auch vom Ausland aus bezahlt werden kann. Dies haben bei der Abgabe dem Hertzmitarbeiter in Stockholm auch so mitgeteilt und er war mit dem Vorgehen einverstanden.
Zuhause haben wir sogleich die Busse bezahlt. Erst in den folgenden Tagen bekamen wir von Hertz eine Abrechnung, dass sie die Busse bezahlt hätten, Bearbeitungsgebühr zusätzlich 550 SEK, also insgesamt 1250 SEK. Somit hatten wir die Busse doppelt bezahlt. Wir haben die Abrechnung per Mail bei Hertz Stockholm sofort beanstandet, haben aber auch auf die 2. Mail überhaupt keine Rückmeldung bekommen. Wir haben auch zwei Mal Hertz Schweiz per Mail kontaktiert, aber auch da überhaupt keine Reaktion, kein Antwortmail. Wir wollen einfach die 1250 SEK zurück!!
Sehr, sehr schlechter Kundensevice. Bei Probleme wird überhaupt nicht reagiert!

Hertz scam in Zurich airpot.

Rented a car in Zurich aiport. Damaged left front rim on trip.
After contact-less drop off I recieve a claim for another three damages to the car. These were there before - documented by my own pre-rental pictures or invisible in Hertz post rental pictures. I feel I have been victim of a scam to exploit customers who decline Hertz insurance. Contact-less drop off turns out to be a way to make up damage to the car, without customers interference.

500£ Fee for a tiny cosmetic scratch to the wheel rim, literally 20mm light paint damage to the edge of the alloy wheel!
Rip off merchants.... avoid

Money grubbers.
I refueled full tank in France next to the Swiss border and in the airport it was like 95% percent full. No other rental company has ever paid attention to such insignificant difference, yet Hertz charged me 25 EUR for that and instead of deducting that from the credit card, they sent me an invoice that I had to pay with international wire transfer, loosing another 20 EUR on fees. Unbelievable!

Rented a car at Zurich airport last week with Hertz. It was the smoothest car rental experience we've ever had. Efficient, friendly, helpful and no queues! The return was also smooth and very quick. Would highly recommend Hertz in Zurich airport.

Scandalous Practices.
I filled the tank 5 km away from the airport and the guy said the tank is not full. so he charged me 69.30 CHF. gave nothing in writing. He said i should have filled the tank at the airport! why didn't they say that when i got the car?
really bad. never again. Read the other reviews - there is something wrong here.

They sent us an email to check in but their website does not work and the English is poor... you do not say 'check out' but 'check in' - then when loading the photo passport, the 'continue' button disappears so no way to progress... we are not forced to go at the counter upon arrival to check in... their website was done by someone who does not know what they are doing.

Worst rental company ever...I wish I had read the reviews here prior to making a reservation with this lousy company. We returned our rental before opening hours since we ad an early flight from Zurich. First of all they charged me 550 Euros for an alleged damage (looks from the pictures they sent like a smudge on one of the panels, taking into consideration that we never scrapped the car during our rental) then they charged us another 40 Euros for gas although we filled up the car less than 3 KMs from the airport. Lastly they want to collect 63 euros in administrative fees for a ticket that allegedly we got. All they did was send us an email to let us know that we will be receiving an email from the authorities regarding that ticket. I will never rent from Hertz again.

I was charged CHF 760.00 for two very minimal scratches on the rims of the wheels, plus an additional CHF 90.00 damage administration fee. One scratch was barely noticeable, and the other was essentially invisible. To make matters worse, Hertz took photos and digitally enhanced the scratches in white to make them look worse than they actually were.

This feels like a total rip-off. I understand minor damages need to be addressed, but this level of overcharging for barely visible wear and tear is unacceptable.

This experience has left me with no desire to rent from Hertz again.

Truly awful. Tried scamming me for damage to the vehicle which was already there (thankfully I had taken photographs).

Never book with this company it is a scam. We booked a car for 2 weeks online but as we arrived to get the car we were told that we would on top of that to take a mandatory insurance. This was never mentioned during the booking process and the price for the insurance was about 5 times the prices we had to paid for the car. This is pure robbery!

No customer service at all, no way to contact the company if you have a question or an issue. There are so many other car rentals, don't use Hertz

Daylight robbery, charged penalties higher than actual fines. Even though i have paid 1 of the fine to the authority directly, they still claimed it as "admin fees" and not refundable based on "policy". The fine was 20euro (paid to local authority) but charged 64CHF by hertz (not refunding)

Absolute SCAM! When we returned the car, they told me everything was fine and no need to review. Then they charged me 500 franks for a supposed tiny scratch that I know for a fact did not happen while I had the car. Total SCAM! I have been renting cars for many years and this was the biggest scam of a treatment I have ever had. Stay away!

I wished I had consulted Trustpilot before as Hertz Switzerland gets very low scores. They are a bunch of fraudulent, lying thieves. I read over and over the story that they identify scratches after having said that you can leave the car and it looks OK, and then charge you 1700 CHF for a scratch!!!!
I had to point out 2 large scratches/damages that weren't documented. When I returned the car, the guy took a look at it and said it was fine and I handed in the car. 2 hours later I got a report saying that the car had a scratch on the front bumper (according to the diagram) and they send a picture of the rear bumper as proof. The bumper showed mud but no scratches and therefore I contested the damage. Hertz is not willing to even accept my complaint or respond to me, despite it being 2 very obvious errors on their side.
NEVER EVER EVER RENT FROM HERTZ is my recommendation - they are lying, they are fraudulent, and because they have your credit card details, they just charge it. What a bunch of thieves

A genuine scam as documented multiple times below in which pre-existing scratches on the wheels are charged excessively back to the customer over and over again.

Ich kann diesen Vermieter nicht empfehlen. Euch werden Schäden verrechnet für die ihr nichts könnt. Auch wenn bei der Rückgabe euch mündlich gesagt wird, dass der Schaden nicht eure Schuld sei, wird eure Kreditkarte ohne Ankündigung mit einer Schadensumme belastet. Eure Kreditkarte bleit 30 Tage lang mit Reservationen belastet. Das Auto wird gar nicht richtig angeschaut und im Nachhinein bekommt ihr Bilder mit Schäden. Telefonisch ist niemand erreichbar, Mails werden erst nach Wochen beantwortet. Euer Problem intessiert niemand, keiner fühlt sicher verantwortlich. Auch der Anwalt, bekommt per Mail oder Brief keine Antwort und erst nach vielen Versuchen telefonisch jemanden zu erreichen, endlich mal jemand in der Leitung der nicht nur der arme hinter dem Tressen ist. Es grenzt schon an Betrug was diese Firma abzieht! Sucht euch lieber einen seriösen Autovermieter!
