SCAMMED

I received a $100 gift card for my birthday. I activated it a few days ago and tried to use it yesterday. It was rejected. I checked my balance online and found out there is a $.25 balance left. I see that I am not the only one that has been scammed by this company.

EDIT: Gift Card Mall denied my claim. The parent company automatically started another claim. After sending them all of the info they asked for they finally approved the claim. They had sent me a new gift card and added the $100 to it. I was afraid to activate it because I thought the funds would be stolen again. The new card worked as it should have. I am satisfied with the outcome but still mad about having to go through the entire process. Gift Card Mall has no security on their website. It seems like every card they sell gets compromised before it can be used. I will never deal with this company again.

Same complaint as all the rest. I checked my balance it was correct and as soon as I tried to use the card, it said I had a zero balance. This is the second card I've tried to use from them.If there was a zero rating option that's what they would've got from me.

It literally would not work, for the Full $50.
I did not Pay $50 for $37.80.
2 Transactions totaling $37.80 was ALL my $50 Gift Card would do.

Meanwhile, my US Soldier son was t-boned by a reckless driver yesterday, and I needed to actually use the $50 Gift Card for what I had purchased it for —- an actual EMERGENCY.

I appreciate the speedy response, and the way my money was returned to my Card. My US Soldier son was able to get the full $50. Better late than never! 🫡🇺🇸

Fraud! I’m a single mother of two children under two and bought a 200$ card to buy diapers and such online. Mine is the same story as every other reviewer. I was scammed out of my money with every purchase being declined. After speaking with someone on their hotline, it was “supposedly” all stolen by someone somehow and the charges needed to be disputed. This happened TWICE! And literally as soon as I was issued my next card I tried to buy my stuff immediately because I didn’t want it to “get stolen again” but what do you know… it was declined! Issue being that it was again suspiciously stolen, just like every person on this review site. I am out 200 dollars and these frauds will never make it right. They don’t care. The service representatives act “so nice “ on the phone trying to make you think they are so sorry and are gonna make it right. But they are not a real company obviously. And to whoever from this scamming site that hopefully reads this, unless it’s some sort of bot responding the same thing to every one star reviewed and responds with the exact same thing you reply to everyone out here; you are taking from the poor and putting us in completely difficult positions. You are taking away someone’s lights that month, or groceries for a single parent and her children. Some people don’t buy these because “we have the money so why not?!”. Some of us need them to buy clothes for our children online, or diapers, wipes, and cream. Or whatever freaking reason! You are putting a lot of people in really devastating positions. 200 dollars is a lot of money for me. If by any miracle chance someone reads this that is in a tight spot financially and buying this for something you need, PLEASE don’t be deceived like I was.

I received a gift card with a $100…

I received a gift card with a $100 balance. I registered the card to use it and before I could even go shopping it was cleaned out in one purchase. It's showing a pending purchase to PayPal. I called the 888-524-1283 number on the card and can't get live person on the phone. I can only get the computer which ask for my zip code and then tells me it doesn't match their information; then it hangs up on me. I can't get a live person on the phone to cancel the pending transaction. Customer service is horrible! Website registration for the card is horrible!

Update: The Gift Card Mall Team reached out to me and after hearing my issue and me submitting some information to them, they sent me a replacement card! There's tons of Scammers on the internet! If there's one piece of advice I could give anyone receiving a gift card it's to call the number on the card to activate and do not activate it online!
I will use Gift Card Mall in the future.

Sent a visa giftcard as a gift to my brother who is in a nursing home. When he tried to use it, it didn't work. He checked the online balance, and it was $200. He tried to use it again and it didn't work. When he checked the balance again, a charge had been made for $200 and the balance was $0. It was not his charge. I've tried calling 888-524-1283 several times and can't get through to a real person. It keeps asking me for a zip code, but neither mine or my brother's works. Something's not right

Something's not right. I received two $100 gift cards..as soon as I activated one of them today, someone had tried making several purchases to best buy, which didn't go through, and ended up meeting a charge to a gaming site. The card wasn't even registered for 30 minutes. I call the number on the card to get the run around. I was given a gift card mall card for $50. Went to use it the first time and there was already a charge from TikTok for the full amount. I disputed the charge and after 2 months they replaced the card. I then tried using the card for a partial payment on some shoes and it was denied. I then checked the balance only to find another unauthorized charge from TikTok for $47.50. I again disputed the charge. GCM agreed to immediately replace the card. I received the card and when I checked the balance it only had a $1.50 on it. Gift Card Mall appears to be a total scam.

You cannot use this card anywhere for anything. I bought it on amazon and was told you cannot use it on amazon. Granted I did use on a couple months ago but now it no longer works. I received 2 giftcards in June, 2024, one for $100 and the other for $50, and my son received a gift card in December, 2024 for the amount of $50. We finally tried to activate the giftcards and they were all three used up. They were hacked! I emailed giftcardmall and they responded telling me that the rep, Andrea R. Andrea R. was committing to resolving the giftcard transaction. the dispute team, Karen A. from Blackhawk Network informed me that "because the transactions listed above have exceeded this 60 day time frame, we no longer have recourse to attempt to recover the funds from the merchant through the Card Network. Although we are not able to assist you further, you may pursue this matter directly with the merchant(s)." Really? When I have receipts and bank statements of my family purchasing the gift cards? I don't think so!!! This is $200 thrown out the window! Hacked! I would encourage others never to buy one of these horrible cards! They are NOT secure and the poor customer service doesn't care about helping you get your gift that your loved ones intended for YOU, not thieves! I'll be reporting this to the BBB and pursuing other legal matters.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience. Two $100 gift cards purchased, but both arrived with no funds. After a lengthy phone call, I was sent two replacement cards. However, when I checked them again, I found no funds loaded. I did not immediately reach out as I’ve been busy, but when I called today, I was informed that the cards had been used and the charges were outside the dispute window. This situation seems very suspicious – it’s hard to believe that the funds were suddenly used after I had already verified the cards. Overall, I feel this is a scam. While the customer service representatives were polite, the resolution was unsatisfactory and didn’t address the issue effectively. I would not recommend this service

I have used this site for several years

I have used this site for several years, perhaps 7, with no problems whatsoever. Have issued cards as gifts and heard no complaints from recipients. When I did inquire about the card use, (3 or 4 times total), no one expressed any problems. I wish my track record of satisfaction with other service and manufacturing businesses was as notable. I have used other gift card providers - banks, credit card companies etc. - with basically the same satisfaction levels as my experience with GiftCardMall.com (GCM). It does give me pause, however, when I hear negative comments as tracked by your organization but I am also very aware of the myriad of GMC pretenders who scam the public. I will keep such reporting in mind for my future needs of such product(s).
