0n 6/28/25 I made a $500 purchase a gift card purchase and within 10 minutes made a payment with a vendor of the entire amount with no problems at all.
And due to the products not being able to fit,a refund was requested. The original amount exceeded the amount of the gift card, so I used a credit card for the extra funds. That was refunded the following day.
And 2 weeks later I’m still waiting for the refund of the original $500. I see a consistent pattern with the reps that I talk to, that the dispute team will address with 24 to 48 hours. Which one of the issues they say is that the card was used for other purchases. Which is confusing to me because I exhausted all of the funds with on a purchase 10 minutes after I bought the card.
Certain credentials were requested from gift card mall which I tried sending via PDF format, which they said could not be retrieved. So I decided to go old school and send a fax, which I was told could take up to 15 days to be received!! Prior to buying the card I made sure to investigate,if a refund was allowable to the card
which it is. And still I wait…..

The website cannot provide basic information, ie balance. It is cumbersome and calling the phone number listed on the card was not helpful in the least. I just wanted to get a current balance, but, this company cannot provide even that. This is not the first disappointment with GiftCard.

Earlier this year, I was gifted two gift cards ($200 Mastercard and $50 Visa).
6/11/2025: I checked the gift card balances at the websites on the backs of each card, not remembering if I had used them or not. I had quite a bit of trouble accessing the balances online for one of the cards, so I ended up calling the phone number and verifying that way. After verifying the balances (the $50 card contained $22.48 left, the $200 card was not yet used), I stuck them in my wallet and didn't try to make a purchase until July 22.
7/22/25: I tried to use the $200 one at Target for a purchase in the amount of $96.63, and it was declined.
8/2/25: When I was finally thinking about it again, I looked up the balances on both the cards in my wallet to see if I could figure out why the $200 had declined - only to find out unauthorized purchases have been made on both - wiping the $200 card completely clean and leaving the $50 card with .42 cents. Interestingly, an $1,100 purchase was posted to the $50 card... ?
The purchases showing on the purchase history were the exact same day I originally checked the balances on the cards... June 11th, 2025.
Out $250 and just trying to buy diapers. Eek. Not a great look.
Update 8/6/25: I have not received any follow-up from this company after the initial e-mail they sent requesting my information.
Update September 2025: Blackhawk Network DID help resolve BOTH of the giftcards mentioned in this review, sending me two giftcards in the mail. One with $200, and the other with $22.48. I updated this review to 3/5 stars as a result. This was still a pain to go through, but they worked with me via e-mail until the case was submitted and won. I am grateful for the diligence of Moises R, Helen N, Jacklyn S., and others with the Cardholder Dispute Services. I was trying to resolve all of this while 39 weeks pregnant, and they were very helpful.

I am a real person and no one asked me to write this if u look around june reviews or warlier this month u will see my review. This is an update on my earlier review about weeks ago. My case has been resolved and it was a simple process. So as much as we can be mad about the cards I cant fault their services in fixing a wrong. I am a satisfied customer now and got reimbursed with a new card with its true amount left. Thank you. Process was max 2 weeks and few days with constant communication. I did everything through email which was very simple

NEVER buy a gift card from here. I received two gift cards over the past 2 years from this site and both times the card was used by someone else shortly after I registered it. The first time I got lucky and noticed it immediately and filed a claim and got my money back but the second time I didn't notice the fraud until 80 days later and they said oh sorry we can only dispute if fraud happened in last 60 days. It is clear they have someone on the inside selling gift card numbers after they are registered. If you do happen to get one of these cards use it immediately or check the balance every month.

I was gifted a $300 gift card, and to my surprise, when I went to use it, only $11.00 remained. I checked the site and found over 11,000 reviews saying the same thing—this company is a complete scam. Someone had already made a $229 eBay purchase with the card before I ever used it. It’s truly disappointing to know there are people out here just looking to scam others. Shameful.

The company did look over my case and saw that my money was scammed off my card and issued me a new card with the correct balance on it . I do appreciate it

Something always happens before I get to use the money gifted on these cards, and the hours on the phone trying to figure it out aren't worth it anymore. Unfortunately, I received another card for a birthday, cannot register it,just tried using it and only .46 was available from $50. I'm over the fraudulent activity from this company. DONE. JUST DONE.

This is an update from my last review,made on June 27,2025, it is now July 13 and doing all this crap to try to fix the card has been pointless all they do is send me some bogess purchase history from the card (I was never able to purchase anything in the first place). The case was closed after that until I sent an email saying I didn't make those purchases,I don't understand why I can't just be sent a new card or something, I shouldn't have go through all this crap for my son to be able to use his gift card for his birthday.

I was on the phone for almost an hour to try to talk to a live person to report someone was using my card on this very day. They had made 4 small purchases and while I was waiting went ahead and wiped out the rest of the card except for some change. The purchases were pending by the time I spoke with someone who said they could not stop the charge

i had gotten a gift card for my birthday and was super excited to buy some goodies. So i bought some shoes and proceeded to make a list for what else id like. About 4 or 5 days later i tried making a purchase and it was denied, to my complete surprise, because there was a balance of $107. Nope. 17 dollars on it and all kinds of strange purchases, then credits, then purchases again. And since i still of course had the physical card, i started suspecting my friends of taking a picture of the card when i wasnt looking, and stealing from me. i also could not get ahold of a human and the automated system was sloppy and misdirecting. The next day i decided to visit the gift card mall website and started reading story after story after story, of how people had very similar experiences like mine. They, us, you, we, myself, and the purchasers don't deserve that. Tell everyone you know, not to give their hard earned money to this scam. i guess just because it says Visa on it, does not mean its legit and reputable.

I bought a 13,500 V-Bucks card that was labeled as “Global,” but it doesn’t work in the UAE on PlayStation. Very misleading!! if the card is region-locked, that should be clearly stated. This was bought with my son’s savings, and we’re very disappointed.

I received a gift card of $50. I tried to use the card multiple times for $50 only. It was denied multiple times at Walmart, Target, & Lowes. I called and still had a $50 balance. I was told to set up a pin and only key the actual dollar amount for purchases. I was declined again. We called the number on the card and found out the card had a zero balance and was used at what looks like a fake jewelry store in Dubai. I do not recommend purchasing this card. I was also supposed to be transferred to a department to review fraud, and the call was dropped. Getting hold of a person who speaks English is almost impossible.

I received a gift card for 50 dollars as gift. I went online and tried to register but was unable to. Afterwards I checked balance and it shows that balance is 0. Somebody used the card and speaking to get hold of a representative is impossible. This is a scam! This can’t be legal. How is it that someone else is able to steal your money with no consequences.
Update! I received a generic email in response that the company would be requesting additional information in order to investigate my claim but nothing was done. Please be aware of this company. I will also be reaching out to the pharmacies that sell these cards because they are also responsible.

My brother purchased a $50 Master card gift card all gift card for my daughter's first birthday. After going online now to try and register it, it says I'm unable to register. I went to check the balance and someone already spent the balance at "blue angels tech" I tried calling the number on the back of the card but someone registered the card so I don't know the zip and can't speak to anyone.teied to click the "dispute charge" button on the website but it says it sent a verification code to some email address that I assume the scammer registered it with. I googled the part of the email address I can see and it flags as a scammers email handle. Where is the consumer protection here? This is ridiculous that I can't speak to anyone at ALL about this. There is absolutely no customer service from this company. What am I meant to do? This money was intended for a baby.

Terrible experience, purchased a 400 dollar gift card to purchase some concert tickets with, the very next day someone charges all but 97 cents on my card. I contacted the customer service and they don’t seem to be helpful at all, I’m going to be very upset if I don’t get my money back

Received a gift card from son for Mother’s Day. Registered it online said $25. I went to use next day and card was declined. Went back online to check and started giving me an error. Just called now and CS says my card was compromised. This is crazy. This company needs to remove their website for registration. That’s where the problem is. All these reviews are literally the same issue. Fix the problem or don’t sell these cards. It’s a huge scam!!!

We got a $50.00 gift card and registered it online and it went down almost immediately after me checking the balance when we received it and the registering it from 50 to .43 cents. When we called becuz we tried to use it and we told insufficient balance they told us there were charges from hollister and google which we hadn’t done. We were told that the two big charges we still pending and for us to wait till they get either reversed or go through in order to dispute them. I don’t know if we will get our money back but I have read the other reviews and it seems to be a non stop problem with the card company. Don’t recommend using these people cuz for someone who may need to use their balance right away as we did not having it and then having to wait for you to get your money back is not ok and you shouldn’t have to deal with this situation at all!!!

I purchased two $100 gift cards registered them. The money was there.went to go use the card zero balance an 2 charges for the exact amount of gift card on the card. Saw charges on the card I did not make. I can’t get a hold of anybody. This is crazy and a huge loss as economy is really bad why would this happen? Why would this company allow this to happen?
