Mixed experience today
On arrival I was completely ignored by both receptionists, one of whom was buried in paperwork and the other was on the phone.
I have absolutely no complaints about my treatment. Satyapal is always most courteous (but why is he not listed on the team on the website?), warm and welcoming and he apologised for running late. He asked me several times if I was okay during the hygiene treatment. As usual he did a thorough and efficient job. I am grateful.
On leaving, a patient was filling in her health survey with one of the receptionists who had ignored me on arrival. The patient mentioned that she suffered from fibromyalgia. "How do you spell that?" the receptionist enquired. The patient didn't know, so I spelt it for her. I was somewhat shocked that a dental receptionist appeared not to have heard of this condition and could not spell it.

Always delays in seeing patients
Yet again, I was seen 35 minutes after my timed appointment. Initially,the Dentist did not apologise for the delay until I had a real go at him for his very unprofessional behaviour. He did not appear to check my teeth in detail. I would not recommend this dental surgery but it is NHS.

The staff are always very welcoming and friendly. The Dentist is always pleasant and informative and the nurse smiling and welcoming. We didn't have to wait very long for the dentist to see my husband and then me. Treatment completed with no issues. Follow up appointment made to suit us both. I definitely recommend this Dentist Surgery, we have been using them for several years now with no issues.

Anda has always informed me of what my teeth need and reassuring when she notices my stress even at 71 years old I am always uncomfortable in the dentist chair having previous terrible experiences of dentists as a child and teenager.

I went to Genix with a tooth that was causing pain. I saw one of dentist called Shira she was very friendly and efficient.
Took an x-ray of the tooth and said it had to come out. I agreed to having the tooth out. Had no problem since.

A mainly positive experience 😁
Although I have a private dentist, when the opportunity of using an NHS dentist in Bridlington appeared, I jumped at it. Unfortunately, I didn't literally jump as disabled. Therefore climbing the stairs for my appointment, was a slow and painful process so a room downstairs would definitely be beneficial. Not just for me but for others to. I noticed you have a disabled entrance so some things are positive. Being disabled friendly is very important.
All staff were polite and helpful and dental treatments were explained well with added useful information given.
The offices were very clean with very comfortable chairs in the waiting room.
The only negative thing was not having it explained to me, that the hygienist appointment that was recommended and booked, was not actually on the NHS but private. This was discovered when the dental practice contacted me the following day, apologising for not explaining this at the time. I am receiving disability benefits so it's a large percentage having to be spent. Let's hope it is beneficial both hygienically and physically.😁

First visit…
This was my first visit to your newly opened practice at Bridlington. Very impressive. All staff were helpful and considerate, I am presently on crutches so have limited mobility. Thomas was very reassuring, efficient and informative which made my visit a pleasant experience.

6 monthly check ups
My appointment was 9am I got seen about 9.15 for my 6 month check up. Checked my jawline, bite and teeth and gums everything was great. I do use an electric toothbrush and I do floss. I was out by 9.20 - £27.90 not a bad hourly rate!! Why are check ups every 6 months and eye sight check ups every 2 years (I am a glassess wearer) I'm glad everything went well.
