Unsolicited phone call to one of our branches. Made it sound like we already have an account with them - I have been sent the phone call recording as proof which I will be using against them. No details given to open supplier account, no costs disclosed for the item or delivery, no returns/cancellations process explained. Absolute scam and reporting to trading standards.

Fast, reliable and consistently professional with friendly staff. A stress free business relationship that will continue that way for years to come.

Totally agree with the previous one star reviews, cold calling, suggest to junior members of staff that it is a regular order they are accepting, no prices given prior to order being sent, our small company then incur the cost for returning an unsolicited order. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

Scammers. Once again, we received another unsolicited call from these charlatans. As others have said they try to con you into thinking you have an account with them by saying do you want the usual 2 inks and 2 labels. They seem to try their luck every 6 months or so. Lots of receptionists and secretaries must fall for this all the time. I spoke to the manager and she told me I was a miserable git - which is probably right – I was rather miserable with having to put up with the very dodgy and probably criminal sales tactics – S2 Fraud Act 2006, Fraud by false representation. Avoid at all costs. Will be reporting to Trading standards.

Firstly I have to say the staff are paid minimum wage, are stuffed into a one room environment that is beyond unsatisfactory. I saw the HSE sign but no fire extinguishers or signage. Which surprises me considering the amount of paper stuck to all walls including fire exits.

There is no CRM database in use , look at their website. No social media presence, the staff are using post-it’s for leads. I would draw your attention to companies house and accounts filed for this company and another company called PSUK lettings - both balance sheets are interesting and the lettings company I can find nothing on them in Thanet the people ringing you are being employed to do a job and are working from training given to them and are trying to do the best job they can to pay bills etc - we need to look at the employers! I met a lovely bunch in the cramped room I went to today and I feel for them. This environment shouldn’t be allowed it’s unsafe, the staff are underpaid and are selling a product that’s cheaper on Amazon and delivered next day.

Be nice to the people calling you it’s not their business.

With the vast number of 1-star reviews here all sharing similar experiences of pressurising sales tactics, misleading people and dishonesty (which I too experienced this week), perhaps the team at Franking Supplies UK ought to turn inwards and ask themselves ‘maybe we are the problem?’

Constantly calling our offices insisting that we usually order form them which we do not. Having asked to be removed from their database several times, they do not listen or respond. Reporting to Trading Standards

SCAMMERS - It is very clear from the other reviews that this company is unethical in it's operations and cold calling business model.

They called the business and our young member of staff answered, they spoke as if they were processing a recurring order rather than seeking new business, this is so unethical and preys on people either bing confused, new or young.

I have listened back to the phone call and It makes me sick listening to the tactics they used, at no point did they make it clear that they were cold calling for new business or that they would be invoicing a product since no value (£) was given.

Distance selling laws clearly ignored here, I very much look forward to the company going bust once trading standards hear the call!

As to the reply from the business: Stop hiding behind the “we can’t verify”, you know what you are doing, simple as that! You can try and get this review removed all you want and if you do I will send the recording to trust pilot also.

Excellent company all staff I have spoken to are really helpful and my order always arrives within 1-2 days would always recommend this company especially with their great prices

Absolute scam. Called reception team when we were busy & asked if we wanted our normal order!!! We have never ordered from this company beforehand. Have informed Trading standards

No worries about returns or customer service issues-they've got it covered.

They are always prompt and polite-a pleasure to do business with.

This is the second time this company have taken advantage of a new receptionist in our business - totally mislead her into placing an order. I would be embarrassed to work for such a company. Avoid at all cost. (i presume the 5 star reviews are from staff/ friends). Luckily as i've dealt with them before i didn't open the parcel and it's gone right back. we've now blocked their number - so no scamming us again. very underhanded indeed.

edit: In response to your reply - yes it was the second time it's happened to our company. We were known as another company name - but it is the second time i've experienced this with Franking Supplies. Your 'genuine' reviews speak for themselves... i'll leave it there

Completly agree with all previous reviews, make cold calls to company receptionists making out they are the usual suppliers offering a repeat order. Complete scam artists and very minipulative and rude who pray on junior members of staff to make them money. do not deserve 1 star but unable to leave 0 which is the only reason they actaully have any stars overall (and the fact that they get there staff to leave reviews)

Scamming scum. Rang our new receptionist and acted as if they were our usual supplier of franking machine products. Luckily our order procedure means that she was unable to complete the order without going through the procurement team, enabling us to identify them as a unapproved supplier. AVOID.

Fantastic service. Ordered some till rolls that arrived quickly and efficiently when we were running low on supplies.

Absolute con artists with exactly the same experience as the other recent one star reviews. Pose as your regular supplier on the phone, appearing familiar with your business having got names etc from your website, then get sent invoice for extortionate prices a few days after the returns period. £77 for 80 card machine rolls which are normally £21 at our usual supplier. Very little web presence & no Google page to leave a review: I wonder why?!

Looking at the other reviews I see we're not the first. These guys called and spoke to my newly appointment receptionist, implied they were our usual supplier for till rolls, and sold us 80 rolls for £77.40. I usually pay £42.60 for 100 rolls from my usual supplier. What a horrible, sneaky bunch of scammers. My poor receptionist is mortified. Avoid.

Brought my supplies from here and was very satisfied.
