THEY ARE NOT YOUR TONER SUPPLIER
They claim to be calling from our printer supplier. They are completely false and send the cheapest rubbish not compatible with our machine toner at a hugely inflated price. DO NOT EVEN TALK TO THESE TOTAL SCAMMERS
Scammers
Our business received a phone call from Theprinterink company today. As we have had issues with our printer earlier this week, my manager thankfully passed them on to me to answer questions. He was very misleading on the phone, but thankfully sent an email asking us to confirm the 'order' that we had apparently made. It was at this point that I realised that it wasn't the company we usually used. I searched the company and it came up with "scam", so I looked further into it, and it became clear what had happened.
Scammers - Avoid
Same as everyone else, cold called, pretended they were our usual supplier and tricked my staff member into placing an order with them. I'm going to return the ink and report them to trading standards.
Complete Scam
Complete Scam.
As every single other reviewer has mentioned - this company will call you suggesting they are your current printing provider. They will misrepresent themselves and send out printer ink to your address and then chase you for payment. Whatever you do - DO NOT pay them.
You should either refuse the delivery but if you have accepted it is THEIR responsibility to send you through a return slip for the items to be returned. If they don't it's not your problem. Luckily enough, they have addressed this unwanted and unneeded printer ink not to a limited company, and the name on the delivery is not authorised to make any purchases on behalf of the actual limited company so they have no right of recourse.
The person you will speak to on the phone is extraordinarily dishonest, rude, abrasive and argumentative.
In all honesty, this company should be entirely shut down and I have reported them to Trading Standards, I suggest every single honest company do the same and shut this scam down.
Scammers
Called and said they were our current provider checking if we needed Black and Yellow ink. I spoke to them and told the we have a copier contract and our ink is ordered automatically when it runs low.
They hung up on me...
Please be careful and avoid at all costs
Please be careful - we got cold called at our two care homes and upon reading the other reviews, it seems that this scam company targets places of care and vulnerable people, which is sickening. 'Gracie' from 'the printer ink company' will tell you that she is your current supplier, and its only because I liaise with and understand the contract of our current supplier that I didn't fall for it. Very clever and very deceiving - their number is +44 344 264 5324 for everyone to block.
Scam Artist Company
Second time I have had them call my place of work claiming they were our printer company. They soon hung up when I told them we didn't have a contract with them with a tone I was not going to take their lies.
How are they getting away with this?
Cold Calling
Cold called pretending to be current supplier.
One of our employees made an order from feeling pressure but you cannot get it refunded.
Don't Trust - Pretending to be Current Supplier
Keep cold calling and telling people at the company they are our current supplier and telling us to order items now to fix a problem (that isn't there). Deliberately misleading people into believing they're IT Support opposed to a random company trying their luck and that there's an issue that we need to fix now (via a large order).
Criminal
Cold called pretending to be current supplier 'Hi it's the printer ink company' - convenient company name !
Said they had seen we are running low, luckily the employee who spoke to them knew our ink is included within current contract so didn't place an order but can clearly see how people can be taken advantage of by this company. Avoid !
We had same experience as others
We had same experience as others. We are a group of Care Homes. A staff member was duped into placing an order. I successfully got this company to accept the items back, for which they sent a prepaid label. So the only cost to us was staff time. Try pointing out that Kent Trading Standards are a few yards away from their office in Chatham!
Be Careful
This company cold-called one of our branches directly and misled the individual who answered into believing they were confirming an authorised order, which was not the case. This tactic is deceptive and completely unacceptable.
Such behaviour is unethical and should be reported to Trading Standards for investigation. Businesses should expect transparency and professionalism, not misleading practices to secure sales.
SCAM
SCAM - they confused our desk with underhanded tactics and sent us a cartridge - refusing to accept a return and now bombarding us with emails - AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Exactly the same as others
Exactly the same as others. Cold called, pretended to be a previous supplier (whose ink wasn't compatible with our printer) and they assured my staff member that the ink was free and sent as a substitute for what wasn't compatible. The company should really be reported to Trading Standards for unfair trading including ludicrously outrageous pricing. The EPSON ink we use is being sold at £90+ VAT for one! Genuine Epson cartridges for my printer are £52.00 for 4!
Underhanded Tactics
We have had the same experience as many others on here. Cold calling, pretending to be our supplier when they are not and tricking unwary staff - avoid at all costs.
Aggressive Scammers
The exact same story as every other review on here, called our company pretending to be our Printer company, caught a new team member off guard - apparently sent us toner cartridges but they NEVER even arrived, sent us a bill for nearly £600. They would spam call us every day for nearly a month demanding we send the toner back to them as we had not 'paid the bill', despite never receiving anything and after a call today I reached the end of my tether and told them that this is now intimidation and harassment and if they call or contact again, we will involve the police. Shocking.
Scam Masters at Work
Wow — hats off to this company for their impressive ability to pretend to be our regular ink supplier. The confidence alone deserves recognition.
They contacted us and their salesperson was very convincing and they targeted a newly appointed manager.
Once we realized what had happened, we tried to return the unopened items, but of course, they flat-out refused.
Their customer service was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely unwilling to take responsibility for their misleading sales tactics. Trying to reason with them is like arguing with a brick wall.
It’s clear they deliberately mimic legitimate suppliers to trick businesses. Truly, a masterclass in deception.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Scam company
Scam company. The set up is they call your company reception team saying they are your regular supplier and ask for you to confirm the model of your printer. Then they send you knock off ink and demand crazy money for it.
Absolute con. Please don’t fall for it.
Thankgod for Trustpilot
Thankgod for Trustpilot. I never make a move without it. As owner of 3 carehomes just received invoice for £850 printer ink. A member of staff cold called, told they were our regular suppliers, when we have our own included supply. Utter crooks. Sent back the ink and informed them I will inform police if they contact us again. Scum scammers.
