Overcharge
Went in last week for an MOT, car failed and needed a number of new parts fitted. I was quoted almost a £1000 in repairs which seemed severely overpriced to me. Took it to Kwikfit they checked it over and quoted me almost a third of the price £350 or so parts and fitting. Got the work done and mot passed no issues. The initial qoute from five star was honestly ridicoulous, they've obviously mugged off alot of people with their 'not fitting inferior parts' sales crap. Just be honest and fair to people instead of quoting silly prices. I'm sure I'll get the old, can't find you on the records response from them, but this is an honest review. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We are really sorry you didn't have a good experience with us. We did squeeze you in on the same day at short notice and do try to accommodate where we can. I am confused how the quote was so little from Kwikfit - please bare in mind we quoted you advisories and failures, so I am surprised if they will have done all 4 tyres, brakes, suspension etc for that amount.
Our priority is to keep you safe and well informed - we have to give you the full overall condition of your vehicle. Our prices do reflect our service, and the "not fitting inferior parts" is not something we just tell our customers, we do provide premium parts - we find by using premium parts the customer has peace of mind with extended warranty and we find, very little come backs. All of our customers have the choice whether they get the work done with us or take it somewhere else.

Couldn’t recommend enough - best around!!!!!
Dealing with Five Star Autocentre is always hassle free and a pleasure. I take my cars here, instead of the main dealership - as they are always truthful and honest about the requirements needed.
I couldn’t recommend the team enough, and will continue to use them over anyone else. They are genuine, and trustworthy throughout, I’ve never received a single fault when dealing with this garage.

AVOID!!!!
I normally never write reviews as I just let it go. They are very expensive for parts which are not genuine dealer parts. Got brake pads done and a part which holds the pads called pad shim kit was missing which I'm assuming they threw away so thanks guys. Would bot recommend to anyone and I have not been back since.

charged all I'm bothered about is why you threw the pad shims away ask your mechanic. I need them for my new pads but because if your stupidity it's going to cost £60 for new ones are you going to pay that?
Like I ssaid I've just changed my brake pads and the mechanic noticed now.
ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR THE BRAKE PAD SHIM KIT WHICH YOU THREW AWAY? WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE FOR THAT?

We are sorry you feel this way and are surprised you have not been in touch with us up till now nearly 12 months after to report any issues. We can guarantee all parts are genuine and/or OEM parts and carry a full warranty against any issues however small they may be. All workmanship undertaken also carries a full warranty. The issue here I believe is is the costing for which you were fully made aware of and agreed before any work carried out. Majority of our customers agree we provide a great level of service at a competitive price. If you would like to speak to us further please do not hesitate to contact us. First class service from start to end
First class service from start to end. Miss Kavanagh was professional throughout the duration keeping in regular contact with me every step of the way. As my car was only a few months old and I was worried what the repair would be like I needn’t have been as the workmanship was exceptional. I'm upset and confused to find you have left us a one star review after I thought we had resolved this issue over the phone last week.
You brought your vehicle back 1 week after you had it in to us for MOT/Valet and showed me the very slight bubbling of paintwork on your bonnet, you said you thought maybe one of the technicians had left a cloth on the bonnet that may have had something on it which may damage the paintwork.
(Sometimes customers notice marks on their cars that have been there a while but only notice them because the car has been cleaned.)
I assured you I would look into it and explained we don't put rags/cloths onto the cars with any kind of fluid on them, but still wanted to check it out. I checked the CCTV of when your car arrived with us and could see that the mark on your bonnet was present before you car was brought into our garage. I offered for you to come down and view this but you said that was fine and thank you for looking into it.
I also mentioned that when bird droppings are left on cars unwashed that this can cause the bubbling on paintwork - you said you understood and that makes sense.
I'm really sorry you feel this way, you are still more than welcome to pop down and view the CCTV.

Trustworthy and Professional
I had bought my very first car over a month ago, I had a few clutch sticking problems and a noise coming from the rear of the car, I rang midweek to book in for the Saturday, spoke to a very professional and knowledgeable gentleman who offered a full health check of the car free of charge. After the health check he rang back very prompt to tell me the issues, we discussed on the phone which needed doing urgently and which could wait a few weeks (allowing me time to cover the cost). Five Star gave me a courtesy car free of charge as work was expected to be completed the following monday but managed to complete the same day! The ladies on the reception are polite and very knowledgeable, the mechanics in the back are very skilled and most of all trustworthy, Five Star even washed the outside of my car and valeted the inside. Very happy with the service I received and will be using them as my trusted local garage. Thanks again!
