I recently had a disappointing experience with Enterprise (Alamo & National) Rent A Car at Geneva Airport in August. While the initial rental process appeared smooth, my satisfaction was short-lived. Five months later, I received a shocking email claiming damages and a charge of 1615.50 CHF to my card.
Several concerns need addressing:
Delayed Notification & Evidence:
It's disconcerting that information about damages only reached me after five months. This delay raises serious questions about the legitimacy and transparency of the charges.
Moreover, the prolonged delay in disclosing evidence has significantly hindered my ability to dispute the charges effectively. Transparency is crucial in such matters, and the delayed provision of evidence undermines the integrity of the entire process.
Pattern of Deceptive Practices:
This incident isn't isolated. A previous experience with a company under the same ownership (Alamo & National Rent A Car at Geneva Airport) involved a wrongful charge for fuel-related damage. This suggests a disturbing pattern of deceptive practices designed to exploit unsuspecting customers.
Implication Without Defense:
I feel that Enterprise Rent A Car is taking advantage of its customers by implicating them in damages without providing an opportunity to defend themselves. This not only affects me personally but raises concerns about how many others might have been similarly treated.

Seems like many had the same experience as us... Rented a car, didn't hit anything during our travels. Left the car and like 2 months later: They TAKE like 800 euro from my card because of something that obviously was not made by us. DON'T RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
SCAM BUSINESS - DO NOT USE
Enterprise Geneva are a scam business built off lies. There is not a single employee that can be trusted.
We had previously gone over the damages on the car and I had it recorded. We were then told repeatedly that the parcel shelf clips were broken and that we would be charged for it.
After giving evidence and also pointing out when we picked the car up that the clips were broken, they had agreed to let it go until they finally came back several months later to charge our card £150 for the £3 clips you can find online. I could have got a flight over and changed them myself for cheaper despite them not even being our fault.
The business will not listen to your claims and YOU WILL LOSE MONEY. If you choose to ignore this review, please have the money ready because I hear that we have got off lightly compared to others.

Total scam
Total scam! Their car had a scratch when checked out. It is clearly labeled in the checkout document. Still, after I returned the car in the early morning (so there was no in-person check out), they labeled a scratch exactly the same location at the checked-out document and charged me $600 for it. I contacted them via the documented email and never got any response. What a terrible company!

The car rental company is terrible! During our tourist trip, we received a traffic violation, but I encountered an issue with the payment link they sent. I have sent numerous emails and made several calls regarding this issue, but no one from the company has helped me, and my emails have gone unanswered. I have been dealing with this process for a year now, and the matter has needlessly escalated to administrative authorities!

Mit Enterprise Alamo fahre ich seit Anfang 2023(!) monatlich bestens, wenn auch über einen Vermittler, aber bevorzugt diese Firma. Denn:Die hier folgend beispielhaft genannten Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr gut geschult, waren aufrichtig in der Vermietung und haben mir kein X für ein U verkaufen wollen:(Alle FFM+Airport FFM)Tim Zielinski;Emma Schwab;Youssef Amakran;Serkan Demir;Nikola Timarac;Sebastian Niemczik;Farshid Nazemi. Ich bin ein anspruchsvoller und erfahrener Kunde, denn ich muss aus privaten Gründen jeden Monat für lange Strecken einen Mietwagen bestellen. Bei anderen Mietwagenfirmen war ich mit dem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht annähernd so zufrieden wie mit Enterprise Alamo und seinem sehr gut geschulten Team.Ordentliche Wagen, gepflegt und vollgetankt sollten hier auch unbedingt Erwähnung finden.
Mit Betonung: ich bin kein Angestellter oder sonst eine irgendwie der Enterprise Alamo privat verbundene Person, sondern ein Kunde mit Ansprüchen!

Pre existing damage, as noted on their own document when we first got the car.
We refused to pay a made up claim, they kept pursuing despite never answering the obvious question of why. Credit card company agreed with us.
Kept receiving emails from them.
Clearly a systematic scam in place here.
I will never use Enterprise.ch again
I will never use Enterprise.ch again. I returned the car full, clean and with no additional damage. 3 months after the rental they emailed me to advise me they were charging 533CHF for damage. The damage shown was pre-existing and even noted on the check out document. This is fraud, and from other reviews (which I wish I had read before) it looks like it's happening on a regular basis.
When it all goes wrong to sum of €19000
Hired a car, had a heavy accident in Geneva, had purchased CDW. No aggravating circumstances.
No Comms from them, then got an invoice for the full value of the car €19000, but no explanation, replied asking why, no reply, no Comms, and then a 2 months later a letter from an Irish debt recovery agency.
Eventually contacted Enterprise UK, who chased, still no response, chased again and they were told CDW void because of gross negligence.
Absolute lies, still no Comms, you couldn't make it up.

Never rent a car by Enterprise/Alamo in Zürich airport. I returned a car with no damages. After 6 weeks I suddenly get picture of some car with a claim and a bill from a repairshop. No proof of KM-stand or time the picture was taken (obviously because somebody else did the damage). I delivered the car with not a single scratch. Everything is forged by Enterprise-Alamo and I never got a reply from them.
Hire a car here at your Peril
Be very wary of hiring a car from Enterprise at Geneva Airport. Horrific reviews online which I unfortunately did not see until afterwards. Charged me over £3000 for pre-existing damage. Their customer service is shocking and they simply don't return any calls or emails. Has taken me months now to get my money back (not all btw - still outstanding around £500) as I fortunately had taken some photographs pre hire of existing damage. If you really must hire from here, forensically take photographs and video of interior, exterior and underneath!! before you take the car away and also ensure you don't get an express checkout - make sure someone signs off on your return and checks it. They will tell you there is no one available to check the car and then they will likely bill you for damage. Disgusting behaviour from the "biggest hire car firm worldwide"

Schrecklich! Finger weg. Habe 1 1/2 Stunden gewartet konnte nicht ins Auto steigen war meine erste Buchung und schon so eine Katastrophe. Mehrmals versucht anzurufen, 40min in der Schleife gewartet, wurde ich plötzlich abgefertigt. Nach 20min erneutem Versuch war eine Frau am Telefon, die mir aber nicht weiterhelfen konnte, weil der Pannendienst nicht erreichbar ist, weil die App nicht funktioniert. Habe das alles mit Iphone ausschalten, neu installieren, Einstellungen mit Bluetooth anpassen alles mögliche von der enterprise go Website "wird bei Problemen angewiesen" und was die Dame mit schlechtem Deutsch am Telefon mir riet bis ich einen "Rückruf" bekomme. Nach 1h und 40 min bekam ich einen Anruf und hatte meinen Termin schon verpasst und war schon auf dem Heimweg, weil ich stundenlang warten musste wie ein Idiot in der Winterkälte und es mir zu blöd war. Sie haben mir Erstattung zurückgegeben weil ich mit meiner Versicherung und Rechtsschutz gedroht habe und versprachen mir eigentlich noch als Entschuldigung und Kulanz bei der nächsten Buchung Rabatt oder einen Tageszuschlag mehr für umsonst zubekommen.
Habe nie einen Rückruf bekommen obwohl ich seit 2 Wochen versucht habe die zu erreichen. 2 Wochen hat man mir jedes mal gesagt" Wir leiten es weiter und es wird sich heute noch jemand bei Ihnen melden". Für mich auf jeden Fall unprofessionell, türkisch und betrügerisch.

Trying to scam me for 1100 CHF for…
Trying to scam me for 1100 CHF for pre-existing damage and also charges 350 Euro for a single day addon of a 3-day rental that started out as 250. Even the invoice for the supposed broken trunk tail light (66 Euro) contained a paint job to cover pre-existing damage that the rep signed of on himself (600+) on the collection, also very untimely responses and strange Billing and quotation procedure. Stay away from these guys and take photos of everything internally and externally if you ever have to rent from them. Was deliberately pointed to upgrade to this one so they could try to PIN 1000 plus repair jobs on me. ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS
Rented a car from Enterprise in downtown Zurich
Rented a car from Enterprise in downtown Zürich. Can only say that they deserve all the 5 stars. We rented a VW polo or similar and got a free upgrade which was a 1.4 liter hyundai i30 with all the latest tech. Can only recommend this branch. The pick-up and the return of the car was quick and easy and the deposit they block on your card in case of fines or if you return with not a full gas tank was returned after 1 working day. Last thing, I would highly recommend is the Super Collsion Damage Waiver (SCDW) as it reduces the liability in case of ANY accident from 1500 CHF to 0 CHF. Keep in mind that the SCDW only applies when you follow the traffic rules otherwise the will void the SCDW and make you liable for the whole repairing cost. First time renting a car form Enterprise Rent-A-Car and it will definitely not be the last!
